The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the employment of the female married immigrants and to analyze the factors affecting the job continuity. For this study, We made a comparative analysis between employee and unemployed person through same question.
The subjects of this study are female married immigrants residing in Busan. 300 questionnaires were collected from a total of 177 cases. : 76 cases were collected from employees and the others were collected from the unemployed.
SPSS/WIN 12.0 program was used for the analysis and the analysis of frequency, x²-test, correlation, and Losistic Regression model were performed through it.
The study is summarized as follows.
First, The study was analyzed by three factors - the human-resource factor, the support of family factor, and the financial factor. The study showed the statistically significant difference in marriage term, age, English speaking proficiency, monthly average expenditure, and educational background.
In other words , 1) The marriage term and female married immigrants' employment rate have the significantly positive correlation : the longer the marriage term, the higher the employment rate. 2) The age and female married immigrants' employment rate have the significantly negative correlation : the younger age, the higher employment rate. 3) The English speaking proficiency and female married immigrants' employment rate have the significantly positive correlation : the better native English-speaking, the higher employment rate. 4) The monthly average expenditure and female married immigrants' employment rate have the significantly negative correlation : the smaller monthly average expenditure, the higher employment rate. 5) The educational background and female married immigrants' employment rate have the significantly positive correlation : the higher educational background, the higher employment rate.
Second, This study found that group remaining employed has more accessibility to childcare facilities. Also, it is necessary to develop a job placement service to the female married immigrant and to develop a korean education service to the employee.
The results of this study suggest that a various and progressive job placement service which helps female married immigrants find their jobs should be estabilished to improve the economical status of international married families.
