예비유아교사의 영아교사에 대한 이미지 연구 = (A) Study on Image of Toddlers' Teachers Recognized by Pre-service Kindergarten Teachers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사가 인식하는 영아교사에 대한 이미지 유형을 알아보고, 각 유형별 특성을 알아보는데 있다.
이와 같은 목적에 따라 설정된 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
1. 예비유아교사가 인식하는 영아교사에 대한 이미지 유형은 어떻게 나누어지는가?
2. 예비유아교사가 인식하는 영아교사에 대한 이미지 유형에는 어떠한 특성이 있는가?
본 연구는 충청북도에 소재한 K대학교 유아교육과에 재학하고 있는 3학년 학생 22명, 4학년 학생 20명 총 42명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 예비유아교사가 인식하는 영아교사 이미지의 유형과 특성을 알아보기 위하여 문헌연구와 심층면담을 토대로 238개의 진술문을 수집하였으며, 수집된 진술문은 범주화 과정을 거친 후 지도교수와 유아교육 박사 3인의 자문을 받아 최종 40개의 진술문을 선정하였다. 선정된 진술문은 연구대상자가 아닌 유아교육과 학생 5명을 대상으로 예비연구를 실시한 후 연구대상자인 예비유아교사에게 영아교사 이미지에 대한 Q 분류를 실시하였다. 자료처리는 Q 분류 결과를 점수화한 후 QUANL 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다.
본 연구에 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 예비유아교사가 인식하는 영아교사 이미지는 세 가지 유형으로 나타났다.
둘째, 예비유아교사들이 인식하는 영아교사 이미지 유형의 특성에 따라 제 1유형은 인성 중심 전문가형, 제 2유형은 단순 보모형, 제 3유형은 미래지향적 전문가형으로 명명하였다.
제 1유형은 “인성중심 전문가형”으로 이 유형에 속하는 예비유아교사들이 인식하는 영아교사 이미지는 영아를 사랑하고, 배려하며, 따뜻함과 포근함을 주는 사람으로 영아교육에 관한 전문적인 지식과 능력이 있는 전문가로 나타났다.
제 2유형은 “단순 보모형”으로 이 유형에 속하는 예비유아교사들이 인식하는 영아교사 이미지는 힘든 일에 비해 사회적인 인식이 낮으며, 영아를 양육하는 보모로 나타났다.
제 3유형은 “미래지향적 전문가형”으로 이 유형에 속하는 예비유아교사들이 인식하는 영아교사 이미지는 현재 영아교사에 대한 사회적 인식은 낮지만 체계적인 교사양성과정이나 교육과정, 사회적인 제도 등이 뒷받침 된다면 앞으로는 좋아질 것이라는 미래지향적인 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the types of image on toddlers' teachers recognized by the pre-service kindergarten teachers and to study the characteristics of each type.
The study issues established to accomplish the purpose are as follow.
1. How can the types of image on toddler's teachers recognized by the pre-service kindergarten teachers be classified?
2. What are the characteristics of the image types?
The subjects of this study are the 22 junior students and 20 senior students of K University located in Chungcheongbuk-do. Q-methodology was used to examine the image on toddler's teachers recognized by the pre-service kindergarten teachers. Q-concourse was extracted by incorporating the materials obtained by examining the previous documents and studies regarding the image on toddler's teachers and the results of an in-depth interview. Among the extracted Q-population, 40 Q-samples were designated by consulting with the supervising professor and three doctors in early childhood education. In addition, in order to increase the validity of the survey, the level of understandability and clarity on each statement were verified by seven experts in early childhood education. After conducting the preliminary study, Q-sorting was conducted to the pre-service kindergarten teachers on their image of toddlers' teachers. QUANL program was used for the analysis of the materials.
The results of the study are as follow.
1. Types of image on toddlers' teachers recognized by the pre-service kindergarten teachers
The types of image could be classified into three categories.
2. The characteristics of the images types on toddlers' teachers recognized by the pre-service kindergarten teachers
First, type 1 was the "Humanity-oriented expert type'. The image of toddlers' teachers that fall into this type was loving, considering and warm-hearted. The image as a humane teacher as well as an expert were existing together.
Second, type 2 was the "Nanny type". The image of toddlers' teachers that fall into this type was recognized by pre-service kindergarten teachers to receive lower social recognition compared to the laborious characteristics of the work and they were recognized as nannies who bring up the toddlers.
Third, type 3 was the "Future-oriented expert type". The image of toddlers' teachers that fall into this type was recognized to be less regarded in the society but they were thought to get better as the training program, curriculum and social systems for the toddlers' teachers are established in the future.
