『Unhaetaesanjipyo』is a book on obstetrics which covers pregnancy, methods of bringing up a fetus, safe deliveries, cares of prebirth and afterbirth, etc. And it is annotated a Chinese classic in Korean by himself. So we can also see modern Korean language of the 17th century.
I translated 『Unhaetaesanjipyo』into living language and studied about modern Korean of 17th century, the meanings of traditional medical history and the meanings of modern obstetrics.
1. 『Unhaetaesanjipyo』is a medical book which was published in obedience to a royal command. It is a practical book which has simple prescriptions. It's construction is simple and it is annotated modern Korean. So it has contributed to obstetrics of the 17C.
2. The contents and the list of 『Unhaetaesanjipyo』is similar to the 『Donguibogam(東醫寶鑑)』but it has different details. Two books are published in similar times, but I could not find out which one was written first.
3. The Korean annotation of 『Unhaetaesanjipyo』 is good research sources of modern Korean language of the 16C to the 17C.
