MMPI 성격특성과 자아방어기제간의 관계 = The Relationship between Personality Trait on MMPI and Defence Mechanism of Ego

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 MMPI 성격특성과 자아방어기제간의 관계를 알아봄으로써 개인을 이해하는데 그 목적이 있다.
본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다;
첫째, L척도는 예견 척도와 정적상관, 퇴행 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. F척도는 투사 척도와 정적상관, 이타주의 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. 그리고 K척도는 투사 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. Hs척도는 신체화 척도와 정적상관을 보였다. D척도는 투사 척도와 정적상관, 유우머 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. Hy척도는 신체화 척도와 정적상관, 동일시 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. Pd척도는 행동화 척도와 정적상관, 억제 척도와 부적상관을 보였다.
Mf척도는 어떤 자아방어기제 척도와도 상관을 보이지 않았으나, 성별로 나누어 보았을 때, 남자 대학생의 Mf척도는 허세 척도와 정적상관을, 여자 대학생의 Mf척도는 해리 척도와 부적상관을 보였다.
Pa척도는 전치 척도와 정적상관, 유우머 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. Pt척도는 해리 척도와 정적상관, 합리화 척도와 부적상관을 보였다.
Sc척도는 해리 척도와 정적상관, 합리화 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. Ma척도는 행동화 척도와 정적상관을 보였다. 마지막으로 Si척도는 회피 척도와 부적상관을 보였다. 또한 MMPI 신경증 척도(Hs, D, Hy)는 투사, 전치, 해리, 신체화, 행동화 척도에서 공통적으로 정적상관을 보였다. 정신증 척도(Pa, Pt, Sc, Ma)는 수동공격, 투사, 전치, 해리, 신체화, 행동화, 퇴행 척도에서 공통적으로 정적상관을 보였다.
둘째, MMPI와 자아방어기제 하위요인이 성별에 따라 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위해 t-검증한 결과, MMPI 하위척도는 F, Sc, Pa, Si, Pt, Hy척도에서 남자 대학생 집단이 유의미하게 높게 나타났으며, 자아방어기제 하위척도는 부정, 신체화, 회피, 해리, 전치, 투사, 승화, 허세 척도에서 남자 대학생이, 이타주의 척도에서는 여자 대학생이 유의미하게 높게 나타났다.
본 연구는 MMPI 성격특성과 자아방어기제간의 관계를 알아봄으로써 개인의 성격특성과 자아방어기제가 유의미한 관계가 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 개인의 성격과 행동을 보다 심층적으로 탐색하고 이해하는데 도움이 됨은 물론 개인의 행동을 예측하고, 부적응 행동으로의 발전을 예방하여 그 개인이 보다 건강한 성격으로 사회에 적응할 수 있도록 하는데 대한 기초연구로써 그 가치가 있다고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to understand the individual by inquiring out the relationship between personality trait on MMPI and defence mechanism of ego.
The result of this study are as fallow;
First, L-scale has a positive correlation with Anti scale and a negative correlation with Regr scale. F-scale has a positive correlation with Proj scale and a negative correlation with Altr scale. And K-scale has a negative correlation with Proj scale. Hs-scale has a positive correlation with Soma scale. D-scale has a positive correlation with Proj scale and a negative correlation with Humo scale. Hy-scale has a positive correlation with Soma scale and a negative correlation with Iden scale. Pd-scale has a positive correlation with Acti scale and a negative correlation with Supp scale.
Mf-scale has no correlation with any scale of defence mechanism of ego, but looking out the results according to the sexes, Mf-scale of the male has a positive correlation with Show-off scale, and Mf-scale of the female has a negative correlation with Diss scale.
Pa-scale has a positive correlation with Disp scale and a negative correlation with Humo scale. Pt-scale has a positive correlation with Diss scale and a negative correlation with Rati scale.
Sc-scale has a positive correlation with Diss scale and a negative correlation with Rati scale. Ma-scale has a positive correlation with Acti scale. Si-scale has a negative correlation with Evas scale. Hy-scale has a positive correlation with Soma scale and a negative correlation with Iden scale. Pd-scale has a positive correlation with Acti scale and a negative correlation with Supp scale. Lastly Si-scale has a negative correlation with Evas scale. Moreover neurosis scale on MMPI(Hs, D, Hy) have a positive correlation with Proj scale, Disp scale, Diss scale, Soma scale, and Acti scale in common, and Psychoticism(Pa, Pt, Sc, Ma) has a positive correlation with a passive attack, Proj scale, Disp scale, Diss scale, Soma scale, Acti scale, and Regr scale commonly.
Second, I had t-verification to recognize if there are differences in sub-factor of defence mechanism of ego according to the sexes. On investigation, it appears that for the male, subscale on MMPI is very meaningful on F, Sc, Pa, Si, Pt, and Hy-scale, subscale of defence mechanism of ego is meaningfully higher on Deni scale, Soma scale, Evas scale, Diss scale, Disp scale, Proj scale, Subl scale, and Show-off scale than for the female, and for the female, it is higher on Altr scale that for the male.
I could make sure that personality has a meaningful relation with defence mechanism of ego by inquiring into the relationship between personality trait on MMPI and defence mechanism of ego. The results are helpful to understand individual personality and behavior more deeply and to prevent the individual behavior from becoming the maladjusted behavior, we will be able to say this study is worth as a basic research to make a individual adapted to the society.
