제7차 교육과정에 적용된 이해중심 미술교육에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

하루가 다르게 변하고 있는 21세기 정보화 시대는 새로운 가치의식의 변화와 더불어 문화적 욕구를 수용할 수 있는 창의성 정서를 가진 인간 교육이 요구된다. 그러므로 급성장하는 문화의 수준에 상응하는 미술의 발전을 위해서는 기존과 달리 미술을 이해하는 교육이 필요하다.
우리나라 미술교육은 현대 미술교육의 영향을 받아 제 7차 교육과정 까지 발전되어 왔다. 기존의 창의성 발달 교육에 한계를 느끼며 기초적 이고 조직적인 구성 체계 능력을 가르치는 이해중심 미술교육이 제 7차 교육과정에 적극 반영되고 있다.
따라서 본인은 현재 제 7차 교육과정에 적용되어 있는 이해중심 미술교육(DBAE)에 관하여 연구해 보았다. DBAE란 학문에 기초한 미술교육 운동으로 아이스너와 그리어 등이 연구하였으며, 표현중심 미술에서 벗어나서 미적 안목과 미술사, 미술비평, 미학, 미술제작이 통합되어진 새로운 개념을 가진 미술 교육을 말한다.
연구의 구성으로는 첫째, 이해중심 미술교육의 역사적 배경을 알아보며 둘째, 제 7차 교육과정에 DBAE가 적용된 배경에 대하여 알아보았다. 셋째, 제 7차 교육과정과 DBAE의 연관성에 대해 알아보았으며 넷째, 7차 교육과정에 적용된 DBAE의 적용실태와 문제점에 대해 알아보았고 이를 위한 한국 교육 개발원의 일반적 수업과정 모형을 제시하고 미술과 수업의 지도 과정모형과 DBAE에 의한 학습지도안을 제시하였다.
학교 현장에서 제 7차 교육과정과 DBAE의 적용 실태는 학문에 기초한 미술교육으로 보고, 이해하고, 판단하고, 창조하는 학습을 하게 한다는 가치가 담겨져 있으며, DBAE가 미술의 독자성 본질적 가치를 강조하면서 미술교육을 학문체계로 세우는데 기여함과 미술교육에서 표현 뿐 만 아니라 미술의 이해와 감상을 강조하였고 교육과정과 교사의 적극적 역할을 강조한 것은 큰 성과로 볼 수 있지만 이런 장점에 반해 미술을 지식이나 이론을 전달하는 암기 위주의 교육이 될 가능성이 있다는 우려도 있다. 또한 DBAE의 뜻은 좋지만 그 상상을 체계적이면서도 쉽고 재미있게 학생들에게 전달할 구체적인 프로그램 제시가 미흡하고 교사에게 많은 것을 요구해 전문적이고 장기간의 교사 교육을 요구한다는 점이다.
따라서 DBAE 이론을 우리 미술교육에 알맞게 적용하기 위해서는 한국적인 정서를 고려한 체계적이고 비판적 수용이 필요하며 감상과 이해중심의 교육을 현재의 교육과 접목시켜 나아가야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It is required to educate people to be who is capable of accept the culture desires along the change of the values, and is creative in the 21st information oriented era. Therefore, it is also required to have an art education to be understood in the other point of views in order to develop the art in correspondence with the level of culture in progress.
Our art education is developed up to the seventh education policy affected by the modern art education. As the limitation of developing the previous education for the creativity is shown up, the art education which is basic and teaches the organized component system ability is applied to the seventh education policy.
Herein, I studied for the art education based on the understanding (DBAE) which is applied to the seventh education policy. DBAE is the art education movement based on the academy and is studied by Eisner and Grier. DBAE is the art education which has the new concept compromising the art appreciation, the art history, the aesthetics, the art-making, escaping from the expression oriented art.
The contents of the research is the following. First, it is about the historical background of the art education based on understanding. Second, it is about the background in which DBAE is applied to the seventh education policy. Third, it is about the connection between the seventh education policy and the DBAE. Fourth, it is about the current status of DBAE application in the seventh education policy and the problems. And the research suggests the typical class process of the Korea Education Development as well as the model of the art education with the teaching plan based on the DBAE.
In the school, the current status of the seventh education policy and the DBAE has the meaning of the education in which the students see, understand, criticize, and create through the art education based on the academy. It is the great success to impose the original value of the art, contribute to build the art education as the academy system, as well as make the teachers' role important. However, it is worried to be the education for memorizing and transferring the knowledge and theory. Additionally, it is meaningful of the DBAE but there are few specific program to transfer the imagination to the students in easy and interesting way, and it requires a lot from teachers so that the organized teacher education is necessary.
Therefore, in order to apply the DBAE theory to our art education, it is need to accept the DBAE considering the Korean culture and it has to be connected to the education based on the appreciation and the understanding.
