실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시유무가 유아의 창의성 향상에 미치는 영향

(Abstract)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of providing water and tools/materials on the children's improvement in creativity.
The research questions were as follows;
First, what are the effects of providing water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play on children's improvement in fluency?
Second, what are the effects of providing water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play on children's improvement in the originality?
Third, what are the effects of providing water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play on children's improvement of the abstractness of title?
Fourth, what are the effects of providing water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play on children's improvement in the elaboration?
Fifth, what are the effects of providing water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play on children's improvement in the resistance to premature closure?
The subjects were 60 children of a kindergarten located in dalsung-gun, Daegu. The subjects were divided into three groups; group 1 with 30 children provided with the sand, water and tools/materials, group 2 of 30 children with sand and water, a con trol group of 30 children with sand. The experiment period was 7 weeks and the children's creativity was pretested and posttested using "The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking: Thinking Creatively with Pictures, From A" which was revised by Young-Che Kim(2002).
The collected data from the pretest and posttest were analyzed with ANCOVA.
The findings were as follows:
First, there was a significant improvement in fluency in the experimental group provided with water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play.
Second, there was a significant improvement in originality in the experimental group provided with water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play.
Third, there was a significant improvement in abstractness of title in the experimental group provided with water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play.
Fourth, there was a significant improvement in elaboration in the experimental group provided with water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play.
Fifth, there was a significant improvement in resistance to premature closure in the experimental group provided with water and tools/materials in outdoor sand play.

본 연구의 목적은 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시 유무에 따라 유아의 창의성 향상에 미치는 효과를 분석해 보고 창의성의 하위요인인 유창성, 독창성, 제목의 추상성, 정교성, 성급한 종결에 대한 저항의 향상에 미치는 영향을 알아 봄으로써 유아교육현장에서 보다 체계적이고 효율적인 실외 모래놀이 활동을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 있다.
이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시 유무가 유아의 유창성 향상에 효과가 있는가?
둘째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시 유무가 유아의 독창성 향상에 효과가 있는가?
셋째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시 유무가 유아의 제목의 추상성 향상에 효과가 있는가?
넷째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시 유무가 유아의 정교성 향상에 효과가 있는가?
다섯째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시 유무가 유아의 성급한 종결에 대한 저항의 향상에 효과가 있는가?
본 연구의 대상은 대구광역시에 소재한 H유아교육기관 만 5세 유아 중 무선으로 표집한 60명이며 집단의 구성은 물, 보조자료를 제시한 집단 20명, 물을 제시한 집단 20명, 둘 다 제시하지 않은 집단 20명으로 구성하였다. 사전․사후검사에 사용된 검사도구는 김영채가(2002)가 번안한 창의적 사고력검사(TTCT: Torrance Test of Creativity Thinking)를 사용하였으며 연구기간은 7주이었다. 자료의 분석은 사전․사후검사의 평균 및 표준편차를 구하고 공변량분석(ANCOVA)과 사후분석을 실시하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시가 유아의 유창성 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다.
둘째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시가 유아의 독창성 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다.
셋째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시가 유아의 제목의 추상성 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다.
넷째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시가 유아의 정교성 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다.
다섯째, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시가 유아의 성급한 종결에 대한 저항 향상에 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다.
따라서, 실외 모래놀이에서 물과 보조자료의 제시는 유아의 창의성을 향상시키는 데 효과적인 활동이라 할 수 있겠다.
