The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship between the level of teacher's self-efficacy and the levels of teacher's participation in decision-making in middle school.
To accomplish the purposes, two kinds of questionnaires were used to measure the level of teacher's self-efficacy and the levels of teacher's participation in decision-making in middle school.
The questionnaires were administered to 440 teachers selected randomly from 8 medium size of middle schools and 8 large medium size of middle schools located in Seoul.
The data were collected from 402 teachers and analyzed to get mean(M) and standard deviation(SD). The t-test, F-test, and scheffe-test were used to verify the difference between variables at 5%, 1%, and 0.1% level of significance.
The conclusion of this study are as follows:
First, most teachers in the middle school have maintained relatively high self-efficacy for school activities.
Second, most teachers have rarely participated in making decision at middle school.
Third, teachers being high self-efficacy have participated more often than teachers being low self-efficacy in making decision at middle school.
