7차교육과정 고등학교 세계사 교과서의 삽화자료 분석 = The analysis of illustrations in the 7th national curricular textbook on world history of the high school

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

New curriculum changes have been demanded in the field of education according to the change of social environment in the age of globalization and information.
As a result, the new textbook reflecting the purpose of the 7th curriculum has been compiled, which has many kind of illustration materials including maps, chronological tables, person, historical materials, charts, photographs and pictures etc.
For this purpose, It is to analyse the insertion tendency, suitability, and exactness with illustration materials recorded in the textbook of the world history in the high school which is reedited by the 7th curriculum.
The revision and complement of illustration materials for an effective history learning is examined based on this analysis, and it will be provided as important materials for the future revision of textbook. This study also aim at helping teachers develop the supplementary materials for the class.
Above all, as a result of a quantity analysis, the 7th curriculum of textbook has more illustration materials than previous textbooks. But illustration materials in the field of economy and society should be increased quantitatively and historical records, charts, and chronological tables are needed to be expanded in the aspect of pattern. Therefore, unity and balance of illustration materials by region, filed, and pattern must be settled.
Second, new patterned illustration materials should be developed and recorded variously according to the current trend in the aspect of contents analysis. And illustration materials which meet intellectual students and desire to learn should be selected to be used effectively for teaching-learning activities. At the same time, the basic explanation for illustration materials such as the name of illustration materials, contents commentary, etc. must be presented clearly, and the size and location of materials should be recorded with regard to the size structure of the actual object and the relation to the text.
Lastly the textbooks, materials for studying students approach familiarly, must present exactly materials and title of illustrations and students must not get misunderstanding them by fault. Illustration materials would help students to understand easily and to be an active learner who know themselves currency stage of learning.
Teachers are requested to give a good lecture to promote student's understanding of history and demand to research by making the utmost use of these illustration materials.
