배려척도 문항개발 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is designed to develop a Scale of Caring to measure caring degrees of adults(college students or older). Based on the general notion of caring, theories of Noddings & Lipman on caring and other leadership theories, 56 preliminary questions, covering cognition, emotions and behavior aspects, were developed. The questions were given to 400 undergraduate and graduate students of universities in Seoul, and exploratory factor analysis was conducted on their answers. The analysis found 23 questions regarding 7 factors, on which confirmatory factor analysis was conducted. As a result, 22 final questions regarding 7 factors, i.e. empathizing emotions, obedience, non-directive attitude, interpersonal relations, responsibility, respect and innovative personality, were developed. The final questions of the Scale of Caring delivered high internal reliability with the Cronbach’s α coefficient of 0.847.
