청각장애인의 장애수용이 자아존중감에 미치는 전망적 효과에 관한 연구 = The Prospective Effect of Acceptance of Disability on Self-esteem of Persons with Hearing Impairments

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청각장애인의 장애수용이 미래의 자아존중감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하는 전망적 효과연구이다. 한국장애인고용공단에서 실시한 3차-5차 장애인고용패널조사 데이터를 바탕으로 3차년도와 4차년도에 조사된 청각장애인의 장애수용정도가 각각 2년 후와 1년 후인 5차년도에 조사된 자아존중감 수준에 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 구체적으로 3, 4차년도 장애수용이 5차년도 자아존중감 수준에 미치는 직접효과와 3차년도의 장애수용이 4차년도의 장애수용을 매개하여 5차년도 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 간접효과를 확인하였다.
연구대상은 2012년 장애인고용패널조사에 참여한 청각장애인 506명이었다. 분석방법은 AMOS 7을 이용하여 장애수용의 종단적 측정 동일성과 타당도, 자아존중감의 타당도를 검증하기 위하여 확인적 요인분석을 하였고, 전망적 효과 및 매개 효과 분석을 위해 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시하였다.
그 결과 첫째, 3차년도에 조사된 청각장애인의 장애수용정도가 2년 후인 5차년도 자아존중감에 유의한 직접효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 4차년도 장애수용이 1년 후인 5차년도 자아존중감에 유의한 직접효과를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 3차년도 장애수용은 4차년도 장애수용을 매개하여 5차년도 자아존중감에 유의한 간접효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examined the prospective effect of acceptance of disability on self-esteem of persons with hearing impairments. This study uses the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled conducted by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled from 2008 to 2012. Information on the acceptance of disability comes from in the 2010 and 2011 waves, while information on self-esteem comes from the 2012 wave. This study analyses a direct effect of acceptance of disability in 2010 and 2011 on self-esteem in 2012. It also examines the mediating effects of acceptance of disability in 2011 on the relationship between acceptance of disability in 2010 and self-esteem in 2012. The result shows that acceptance of disability in the third and fourth wave predicts subsequent self-esteem in the fifth wave, respectively. It also shows that the acceptance of disability in the third wave has the an indirect effect on selfesteem in the fifth wave mediated by acceptance of disability in the fourth wave.
