특성화 고등학교 학생의 취업장벽과 관련 변인 = Variables Associated with Employment Barriers of Specialized Vocational High School Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to identify levels of employment barriers of specialized vocational high school students, and analyze the relationship between employment barriers and its variables. The population of this study was specialized vocational high school students. The population for this study consisted of 22,243 senior-year specialized vocational high school students, of which 850 students were selected as the sample. The survey instrument was used in the research for data collection. The survey instrument includes the following scales; employment barriers scale, student characteristic scale, job-seeking efficacy scale, educational aspiration scale, career indecision scale, school-life characteristic scale and family characteristic scale. The data was collected between 19 Oct and 5 Nov 2009 through mail responses or interviews. A total of 1,038 results were collected and a total return rate of 87.2% was achieved. From the 1,038 results, 767 were filtered out for analysis.
The following conclusions were reached through the analysis: 1)employment barriers of Korea's specialized vocational high school students may be considered relatively high because of discrimination and lack of preparation. 2)the employment barriers shows the diversity under the sex and major of students. 3)job-seeking efficacy, educational aspiration, career indecision, high school records, work experience, certificate of qualification number, education level of parents, level of household income of specialized vocational high school students turned out to be less relevant. 4) employment barriers that specialized vocational high school students recognized were all except from educational aspiration, certificate of qualification number, and education level of mother. 5)the four factors that explain the employment barriers of specialized vocational high school students are career indecision, job-seeking efficacy, high school records, and work experience. 6)Support for various work experience 7)Form policies that will help male students not to worry about military service once they get a job. 8) Carry out special sessions that address topics such as the way to write resumes, interview preparation, and image making, especially to improve male students' job-seeking efficacy. 9)Build systematic career education, career advice center and job experience to help students make decisions to choose jobs.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 특성화 고등학교 학생들이 인식하는 취업장벽 수준을 측정하고, 취업장벽과 관련된 변인과 그들의 설명력을 구명하는데 있었다. 이 연구의 모집단은 초·중등교육법시행령 제91조에 근거한 시·도 교육청에 지정된 특성화 고등학교에 재학 중인 3학년 학생들이고, 모집단은 총 125개교의 특성화 고등학교의 3학년 학생 22,243명이었으며, 유층화 군집표집과 유층화 비율표집을 활용하여 총 850명을 표본집단으로 선정하였다. 자료 수집은 우편 및 방문조사를 통해 이루어졌고, 불성실 및 무응답 질문지를 제외한 767부가 최종 분석에서 사용되었으며, 회수율은 87.2%였다. 자료의 분석은 기술 통계 및 추리통계를 사용하였다.
이 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우리나라 특성화 고등학교 학생의 취업장벽 수준은 보통보다 다소 높은 수준이었으며, 차별, 취업준비 부족 요인이 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 성별 및 계열에 따른 특성화 고등학교 학생의 취업장벽 수준 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하며, 남학생>여학생, 그리고 공업 > 상업·관광 > 가사보건 > 농업 계열 순으로 취업장벽이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 특성화 고등학교 학생의 구직효능감, 교육포부, 진로미결정, 학교성적, 취업관련경험, 자격증 수, 부모의 교육수준, 가구소득 수준은 다소 낮은 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 특성화 고등학교 학생이 인식하는 취업장벽은 교육포부, 자격증 수, 어머니의 교육수준을 제외한 모든 변인이 0.01의 유의수준에서 통계적으로 유의미한 상관을 가지고 있었으며, 특히 구직효능감과 취업장벽은 높은 부적 상관관계를, 진로미결정 변인과 취업장벽간에는 높은 정적 상관관계를 가지고 있었다. 다섯째, 특성화 고등학교 학생의 취업장벽을 통계적으로 유의미하게 설명하는 변인으로는 진로미결정, 구직효능감, 성적, 취업관련경험으로 총 4개의 변인이었으며, 특히 진로미결정이 가장 높은 설명력을 지니고 있었다.
