사회적 지지와 학업성취도의 관계에서 희망의 매개효과 검증 = The Mediation Effect of Hope on the Relationship between the Social Support and Academic Achievement

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study is to investigate the mediation effect of hope on the relationship between social support and academic achievement. Data were collected from 744 students from the upper grade in elementary school. Questionnaires were social support, hope and academic achievement test. By the analysis of regression, social support had an effect on hope and academic achievement. In addition to it, social support and hope significantly effected on academic achievement. By the analysis of the equation suggested by Sobel(1982) the Z test between b1, the effect of the independent variable on dependent variable, and B2, the effect of the mediation effect on dependent variable, had a significant difference. So the mediation analysis revealed that the relation between social support and academic achievement were partially mediated by hope. By the result of the stevetural equation model, partial mediation model of hope was better than full medication model on the relationship between social support and academic achievement. Social support was significantly effected on hope and academic achievement. And, hope was significantly effected on academic achievement. When analyzed the relative effect of social support and hope on academic achievement, social support had direct effect on academic achievement, and indirect effect by the mediation of hope on academic achievement. Hope also had direct effect on academic achievement. Between friend support and family support, family support effected more on academic achievement than friend support.
