무용수의 전문성 발달과정 및 특성에 관한 연구 = A Study of the Main Characteristics and Developmental Process of the Expertise of Dancer

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the main characteristics that are shown during developmental process of the expertise dancer. For that, the interview data which was conducted for the 6 experts who were proposed and selected as highly qualified dancing experts by top experts in the field was used in this research, and the characteristics were analyzed using theme analysis. The findings of the study were as follows. First, developmental process of the expertise dancer were divided into three phases; ``a dancer``, ``the dancer``, and ``unique dancer``. Details of characteristics of phase were (1) individually crystallizing experience in early childhood, (2) making a body and trained as a dancer in order for acquiring technical performance through deliberated intensive practice, (3) Auditioning for having a chance of the first stage as a professional, (4) recognizing his/her enthusiasm toward creativity and developing uniqueness as a dancer, (5) delving deeper into performing a dance and much more training himself/herself in order to look for his/her own world as a unique dancer, (6) experiencing highly qualified immersion and rapport during performing a dance on a stage, (7) showing creative expertise and continuously looking for the answer to the question of the reason why he/she has become a dancer, (8) recognizing a endless thirst for dancing and trying to resolve that through searching something different from a dance, (9) completing his/her own dance as a performing artist and feeling it his/her duty and destiny to dance. Second, the core factor which makes a dancer reach a superior one in terms of performance might be ambivalence. It is complicated emotion of having love and hatred including tendency, an attitude which can be in conflict with an inconsistency about a certain target. More researches will be able to find some meaningful characteristics of the highest leveled performance through far more diverse cases in the itemized dancing field in the future.
