다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has examined the effect of coaches` charismatic leadership on team cohesiveness and players` absorption so that it can expand group cohesiveness and players` absorption with coaches` powerful leadership manifestation due to the characteristics of gymnastics which require high level of physical and mechanical skills. Furthermore, it has intended to provide fundamental data which ultimately contribute to injury prevention and improvement of athletic performance. Accordingly, gymnasts, who are registered as a members of Korea Sports Council in 2011, have been set as a population and data based on 378 gymnasts of middle and high schools, universities and corporate-owned teams using quota sampling have been analysed with SPSS 17.0 program. The conclusion is as follows. First, there is no significant difference in charismatic leadership of gymnastics coaches depending on gymnasts` gender and there is a significant difference in all sub-factors regarding gymnastics coaches`s charismatic leadership depending on their teams. Second, the influence of charismatic leadership of gymnastics coaches on team cohesiveness has a significant effect on the exemplary deed, and the factor of group identity emphasis deed has a significant impact on individuals/society. In addition, factors of exemplary deed, group identity emphasis deed, expectation and trust expression deed and vision presentation deed have significant influence on individuals/task and groups/society. Also, the factor of exemplary deed and vision presentation deed has a significant effect on groups/tasks. Third, concerning the influence of charismatic leadership of gymnastics coaches on players` absorption, group identity emphasis deed, expectation and trust expression deed and vision presentation deed have a significant impact on players` absorption, and vision presentation deed is most influential.
