우울장애와 불안장애 환자군의 MMPI-2 특성 = MMPI-2 Profile Differences between Depressive Disorders and Anxiety Disorders

This study examined differences of MMPI-2 profile between patients diagnosed as depressive disorders and anxiety disorders. MMPI-2 scores of a total of 78 patients who were diagnosed as depressive disorders and anxiety disorders were collected from a psychiatric hospital located in Seoul. The results were as follows: First, there were no significant score differences in the validity scale between depressive disorders and anxiety disorders. However, significant differences were found in D and Si scales among the clinical scales. Patients diagnosed as depressive disorders had higher scores in both scales than those who were diagnosed as anxiety disorders. Second, although both disorders showed elevated scores in most scales, in general, depressive disorder profile had somewhat higher scores than anxiety disorder profile in most subscales. This result implies that depressive disorder patients may experience more serious symptoms. More implications and suggestions are discussed in the current study.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 동반이환률이 높은 우울장애 환자군과 불안장애 환자군의 MMPI-2 특성을 비교하여 두 장애의 차이점을 알아보았다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 OO병원 신경정신과에 내원 또는 입원하여 우울장애와 불안장애로 진단된 환자군 총 78명을 대상으로 하여, 두 환자군의 MMPI-2 각 척도별 결과를 집단 간 평균 t점수를 비교하여 살펴보았다. 연구 결과 첫째, 타당도척도에서는 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았지만 임상척도에서는 D, Si 척도에서 집단 간 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 전반적으로 우울장애 환자군이 불안장애 환자군에 비해 프로파일이 다소 상승되어 나타났다. 둘째, MMPI-2 모든 하위척도에서도 우울장애 환자군이 불안장애 환자군에 비해 대부분 유의하게 높은 결과를 나타냈다. 이 결과는 두 환자군이 비슷한 속성을 지니고 있지만 우울장애 환자군이 좀 더 다양하면서도 심각한 증상을 가지고 있을 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 연구결과의 의미와 시사점이 논의되었다.
