과학영재학생들의 삶에서 나타나는 정서와 몰입에 대한 질적 탐구 = A Qualitative Study on Sentiment and Flow Shown on Life of the Scientifically Gifted Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study is to investigate characteristics of sentiment and flow shown on life of the scientifically gifted elementary students. To do this, 10 students with especially many flow frequency among the gifted students were selected and in-depth interview was conducted about sentiment and flow of the past and present with them.
As a result of the interview, it appeared that present sentiment of the students was far negative than the past. The main elements that made them recognize negatively were burden from schoolwork, agony about the future etc. But they showed many flow frequency for overall life. especially, flow frequency of production activity domain was many. They thought that flow provides fun and pleasure, and it also makes their dream come true and save time. Actually, when they did creative thinking, most of them were in the state of flow.
This study would give implications on how to do appropriate educational treatment to fully understand sentiment of the gifted students, and for them to show their capability well and find meaning of life through flow.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학교 과학영재들의 삶에서 나타나는 정서와 몰입에 대한 특성을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 영재학생들 중 몰입빈도가 특히 많은 학생 10명을 선발하여 과거와 현재의 정서와 몰입에 대해 심층 면담을 하였다. 면담결과 학생들의 정서는 과거에 비해 현재가 훨씬 부정적으로 나타났는데 학업에 대한 부담, 책임감, 미래에 대한 고민 등이 현재를 부정적으로 인식하게 한 주요 요소였다. 하지만 삶 전반에 많은 몰입 빈도를 보였으며, 특히 생산활동 영역의 몰입빈도가 많았다. 그들은 몰입이 재미와 즐거움을 주며 꿈을 성취하고 시간을 절약한다고 생각하고 있으며 실제로 창의적인 생각을 할 때는 대부분 몰입으로 연결되었다. 본 연구를 통해 영재학생들의 정서를 충분히 이해하고 그들이 몰입을 통해 능력을 잘 발현하고 삶의 의미를 찾기 위해 어떻게 적절한 교육적 처치를 해야 할 지 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이다.
