        The purpose of this study was to review the Model of Cognitive Career Counceling, minimum approaches about client career problems, cooperates client. assesses client's cognitive theme, dysfunctional thiking and iirational belief by interview, questionnare, and constructivistic Assessment. The assessment contend of Cognitive Career Counceling focuses to unconsious cognitive shemata which cognitive processing biases: confirmatory bias, availability and representative heuristic, anchoring phenomenon, cognitive distortion: dichotomous thinking, overgeneralization, selective abastration et al, and irrational career beleives. The theme of this study is career problem which career undercommitment, career overcommitment, anxiety and depression relates to work, dysfunctional personality. The cognitive theme of career undercommitment and overcommitment is measured by event monitering, down-arrow technique. The assessment techniques to measure anxiety and depression relates to work are ATQ, DAS, ASQ. The person who has dysfuctional personality is very assertive. Therfore Assertive Self-Statement Test is helpful to assessment about career cognitive theme. The down-arrow thechique is helpful to councelor that to approach these central cognitive theme.

      • 진로상담에 대한 사회학습적 접근의 적용

        The purpose of this study is to review social learning approaches to career counseling. The social learning approaches to career counseling take cognitive and behavioral intervention methods to solve clients' problems and expand their capabilities and interests, while other career counseling theories take normative and stable methods. These approaches focus clients' changeability through learning experiences. Thus, career counselors encourage their clients to have more open-minded, active, creative, and constructive attitudes toward their career by establishing new attitudes, beliefs, skills, and work habits to prepare for changing work situations. The study reviews as follows: (1) some basic assumptions for social learning approaches to career counseling (2) the practice of social learning approaches to career counseling (counseling processes, assessment instruments, and intervention methods) (3) their usefulness and practical implications. Through this review, it is expected that career counseling in 21 century will accept the learning-oriented approaches with a lot of effective and individualized intervention methods in order to fulfill clients' needs.

      • 진로상담의 발전 과제와 전망

        The study was to present current issues and perspectives on the research and practice of career counseling in Korea. After the retrospection of researches and practices of career counseling in Korea was briefly reviewed, the four task forces and perspectives for the development of career counseling in Korea was discussed: (1) research and development of career counseling coping with the future variation of occupational world emphasizing on the followings (a) development of career information system, (b) role of career counselor as an expertise of career development, (c) role of career counselor as an expertise of EAP. (d) role of career counselor enabling to cope with those who are mid-career changers, the older workers, and retirees. (2) career counseling for the special groups included in women initially entering or reentering the labor force after a period of child-rearing, (3) development and application of various kinds of materials for career assessment, (4) educational and training issues of qualified career counselor.

      • 여성의 진로장애요인에 대한 고찰

        The purpose of this study is to review women's perceived career barriers with a theoretical perspective on Social Cognitive Career Theory. In order to enhance career self-efficacy beliefs and outcome expectations, women must first perceive their own career barriers. If women don't recognize irrational and dysfunctional career barriers, formed by sex-role socialization and social stereotyping, their career aspirations are interrupted, and limited to traditional female occupations. According to some studies, women's career motivation tends to be much more vulnerable to competing role priorities and environmental demands than men's career development. Thus career counselors can use the CBI(Career Barriers Inventory: Swanson et al. 1996) to investigate women's perceived barriers. Using the results, counselors can aid women clients in developing necessary coping strategies against career barriers and stress management skills. The perception of barriers may serve as a motivating force for career planning and exploration. Therefore, career counselors must develop a comprehensive theory of career development, with taking into consideration the perception of barriers. This will lead to an important component in the future of career counseling, 'individualization', which can be achieved by using multidimensional approaches that will best meet clients' individual needs.

      • 여성 진로상담에 대한 이론적 고찰

        The purpose of this study is to review women's career barriers with a theoretical perspective on career counseling. Although physical sex differences appear to be less important as factors in occupational choices than in the past, the psychological and social aspects of sex differences require special consideration. Certain Fields have tended to develop as men's and women's fields. Perhaps in no case is one sex completely excluded, but in a few fields the ratio of males to females runs higher than ninety nine to one. In contrast, many fields that have recently undergone rapid expansion tend to include a large proportion of women. Therefore, career counselors have been admonished to be alert and aware so as not to reflect society's past restrictive practices for women. In addition, career counselors must develop a comprehensive theory of career counseling and make a systematic program of career assistance.

      • 진로의사결정 프로그램이 공업계 고등학생의 진로선택에 미치는 효과

        Schools have not carried out counseling faithfully for the students' recognition of career, guidance concerning career choosing, and career guidance. Among the various social roles to schools, the role that schools should help students prepare for the intended career has recently been emphasized. The study on the recognition and career decision, however, is not activated. In particular, this study of the technical high school students' career decision making programs is needed urgently because lifetime career guidance for technical high school graduates is seldom carried out. In accordance with this purpose, this present study aims to investigate the technical high school students' behavior development relative to their lifetime career decision making and the states of their behavior patterns in decision making. The results of this study suggest that various programs for career decision making should researched and developed. And it is significant to compare the difference of career decision making among such groups as type of sex, school grade, and socio-economic status scale. The career education programs should be planned for more advanced career maturity, and the various programs should be developed for assisting each student to know oneself and their job.

      • 장애자의 직업교육에 대한 고찰

        The purpose of this study is to examine the trends of vocational education on the subject of handicapped people. As much as normal people's right have the same right of actualizing self esteem and of experiencing fruitfulness in their life. However it is very hard to enter a special school or a special classroom and a few people of the graduates are holding jobs which does pay a very little salary. In the circumstances we have to examine the overall vocational education programs for the purpose of searching the effective and workable plans for the handicapped people. In addition to the effective vocational education. various types of sheltered workshop must be constructed for more severely handicapped people. Also alloted employment, allotment of types of occupation, monopoly system of various goods need to be conceded to handicapped people.

      • 진로 미결정에 대한 심리적 독립, 애착 및 특성 불안의 관계

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of psychological separation, attachment and trait anxiety to career indecision, in order to understand the clients' relationship with their parents which is important on career counseling. Two hundred and twenty five male and female college students answered a questionnaire consisted of Career Decision Scale, Psychological Separation Inventory, The Inventory of Parent Attachment, and Trait Anxiety Inventory. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant differences in career indecision, trait anxiety, attachment to mother, attachment to and psychological separation from father by sex. In addition, the degree of attachment to and psychological separation from mother is significantly higher than that of gather. Second, for male students, career indecision was predicted by trait anxiety and attachment to mother, while for female students, career indecision was predicted by attachment to father and trait anxiety. However, psychological separation from each parents did not contribute meaningful variance in career indecision. Third, path analysis indicated that, for both male and female students, attachment to each parent had influence on career indecision mediated by trait anxiety. Finally, implications and limitations of this research as well as some suggestions for future research were discussed.
