      • 東南亞 호텔産業 發展의 새로운 樣相

        東南亞地域은 1990년대를 들어서면서부터 호텔産業 發展의 展望이 가장 좋은 地域으로 脚光을 받고 있다. 그러나 다른 地域에서 傳統的으로 應用되던 호텔經營方式이 東南亞地域에서는 通用되지 않을 것이다. 1950년대와 60년대의 美國 호텔체인들은 現地호텔業者들의 名聲높은 호텔과의 체인으로 얻어지는 利益性向을 이용하여 보다 적은 危險으로 國際的 체인을 構築하고 있었다. 1950년대의 開拓者的인 역할을 다한 힐튼(Hilton International)과 인터콘티넨탈 (Inter-Continental)등의 호텔들이 1980년대에 와서도 미국내의 호텔들과 체인形成이 容易하였다. 그러나 이러한 發展메카니즘(Development Mechanism)이 현재 東南亞에서는 退色되어가고 있는 것이다. 왜냐하면 그들은 이미 호텔경영의 經驗으로 社會的 地位가 上昇했고, 高級호텔(First Class Hotel)의 運營經驗으로 先進的 技術을 터득하게 되었다. 舊態依然한 호텔체인 經營方式은 北美에서까지 非效率的 經營메카니즘으로 轉落하고 말았다. 따라서 北美의 호텔成長 展望은 이러한 理由로 앞으로 몇년동안 不確實하지만, 東南亞 地域에 있어 觀光은 앞으로 계속 成長할 것이다. 왜냐하면 東南亞 特有의 文化와 비즈니스 中心地로서 脚光을 받아, 이에 要求되는 호텔체인 擴張의 可能性이 增大되고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 東南亞 地域의 호텔産業의 展望은 再評價하여야 하고, 西歐체인들의 이 地域에 있어 새로운 모델을 構築할려면 이 地域의 獨特한 文化와 비즈네스 性格을 理解하여야 할 것이다.

      • 韓國觀光의 背景과 宿泊施設의 發展形態

        It is true that the on tourism is in itself so boundless that there has been a wide difference in its objects and research methods. However, since so far studies in this special field have been primarily made from the economic and social point of view, today, the need for a scientific research on hotel business seems to be becoming more and more acute to meet the increasing demand for international tourism as a whole. In this study I have a comparative study on the course of shift in accommodations from the angle of social science and history. But no one denys that the hotel business in tourist industry has proved to be the most viable business in that it excells others in profit, the acquisition of foreign exchanges, the effect of the increase in employment, and the outstanding contribution to the promotion and dissemination of social culture. Also seen from the management's viewpoint, the hotel industry is so effective in increasing fixed assets that today it has come to play a decisive role in the promotion of service industry. For this reason, today the lodging industry has come to be called the second important business in human history. Since there was no any historical record to be found before the emergence of modern hotels as a large-scale enterprise, to say nothing of any theoretical researches on the process of transition in hotel management, this study seems to be valuable as well as meaningful. Especially in Korea, the conception of hotel seems to have been derived from Western civilzation, and it is only since the late nineteenth century that with Korea's open-door policy, a few hotels such as Daebul Hotel, Sontag Hotel, and Station Hotel, have come into being for the first time in Korea even under the Japanese colonial rule. Since, especially in the range of the study of tourism, the historical form of study can be directly assembled into the history of tourism or hotel management, I have suggested in this study a historical method of research including the history of hotel management in tourism in general as a basic subsidiary science of the general theory of tourism. Finally, I can only that future students of hotel management may derive some little help from my labours. And it is my earnest desire to thank the writers for the invaluable information and suggestions accorded to me this study.

      • 호텔종사원의 직무욕구와 직무적합성에 관한 연구

        The hotel industry takes for granted that they can meet final business goal by way of the effective management of human resources. However the papers concentrated on the hotel employee's sake have not porperly come out so for in Korea. While the paper from abroad are not limited to the domains related only to the human resources, most of them are not dealing with the comprehensive matters which can cover the co-relationship out of the Relation Between vocational need and work Environment Reinforcers. The purpose of this study was to assess job satisfaction, describe occupational reinforcers for the hotel's Employees, and predict the level of job satisfaction for the hotel's Employees. For the study, some matters were considered as follows. ① The basic objects should be set up so that the personal objects could be agreed with the hotel's objects. ② Review of the Literature o Historical perspective o The Theory of work Adjustment o perception of Occupational Reforcers o perception as Intervening Variables Determining job satisfaction o perception of Occupational Reinforcer and Organizational climate ③ hotel Review of the literature ④ Result and Suggestions.

      • 호텔 레스토랑의 販賣戰略에 관한 硏究

        Today, the restaurant of the tourist hotel seems to have become a public place to take a rest and sell various nutritious foods like a home as a public facility contributing to public welfare, while seeking after profit. It is true, however, that customers usually come to the restaurant to pursue taste, leisure, and social association rather than to satisfy their appetite or supplement their nutrition. When the marketing structure for foods and beverages are well established systematically and strategically, the customers are able to purchase their goods at the same price, in the same facilities and circumstances, and it is true that the goods sell well in these circumstances. But when the sales channel is not closely linked with the customer it is almost impossible to expect any satisfactory sales. No matter how good the sales policy may be, it will be very hard to attract as many customers as possible and increase sales without carrying out the sales strategy. Also to be noted is the fact that the intangible resources, such as the supply of quality commodities, the fascinating environment of the restaurant, and the kind and friendly services, will make a great contribution to promoting the sales of the eating and drinking business. Therefore, it is necessary for the management to closely examine and analyze the means of sales policy, and at the same time find out the problems, if any, and improve them. The following is a summary of the reform measures on the sales strategy, resulted from this research. 1. To overcome the severe competition, it is necessary to create the circumstances of the restaurant in hopes of satisfying the demands of customers. 2. The activities of public relation regarding the sales of merchandise should be continued through the mass media. 3. It is also necessary to try to incite the customer's interest through various events. 4. It is desirable to participate in the events of various social organizations as a sponsor and draw customers via the mass media. 5. It is necessary to intensify lobbing activities to promote the sales of goods through the related organizations. 6. It is also necessary to render social services in a bid to produce a good image through the donations to the asylums for the aged and orphanages, and charity programs.

        The purpose of this study is requiring the ability which can meet the tourists various needs highly cultivated and quality-oriented under the free unlimited, competitive, market of Hotel Room products influenced from the era of open market system. And, also, presenting the constructive marketing strategy in futural sales on Hotel Room Products, and to find out problems after researching, analyzing during the 1995 and the first half 1996. The promotion plans are as follow : i) To set a project for the discrimininated strategy on products of Hotel Room. (Customer-perceivable products program involving the Quest-move-oriented service, specialized for make program for business woman)2 ii) Implement of strategical project to induce the individual guests scientifically by drawing up a program. (Discriminated promotion of EFL products, House Organ's marketing method, Effective operation secretary club program, Extension of money-payment Membership system.) iii) Ought to have a focus on the policy and Highly Quality Management, Quality-Guaranteed System for the product of Hotel Rooms and service circumstantial improvement.
