ZnSnP2 film is a promising absorber for thin-film solar cell due to earth-abandant and nontoxic element. Phosphidation method is utilized for the fabrication of ZnSnP2 films with different Zn/Sn atomic ratios. ZnSnP2 film with the large ZnSnP2 protrusions are demonstrated with Zn/Sn of ~1 (near stoichiometry), while the film with the relatively smooth surface is presented with Zn/Sn of above 1 (Zn rich). According to grazing incidence X-ray diffraction measurement, Sn4P3 secondary phase is appeared in ZnSnP2 film with Zn/Sn of below 1 (Sn rich), whereas Zn3P2 secondary phase is presented in the film with Zn rich. On the other hand, Sn4P3 and Zn3P2 secondary phases are not observed in ZnSnP2 thin film with near stoichiometry, thus leading to the longest carrier lifetime, implied by time-resolved photoluminescence measurement. Ultimately, the conversion efficiency of 0.021% with short-circuit current density of 5.03 mA/cm2 is reported for ZnSnP2 thin-film solar cell, where its absorbing layer possesses single ZnSnP2 phase and Zn/Sn ratio near stoichiometry. The energy bandgap of ZnSnP2 thin films by phosphidation method is estimated to be 1.38 eV by external quantum efficiency, implying that the ZnSnP2 has sphalerite structure.

Japanese national health expenditure was 8.0% of GDP in 2004, and it was lower than average of OECD countries. But it has increased rapidly in recent years. Japan has relatively many acute care beds and high-price medical equipments, and the average length of stay is long. Japanese government is trying healthcare reform to contain healthcare expenditure, increase the efficiency of management and improve the quality of healthcare. As healthcare policies for hospitals such as DPC (Diagnosis Procedure Combination) for acute care beds, reduction of long-term care beds, and functional differentiation and liaison among healthcare institutions are implemented, the number of hospitals in financial difficulties is increasing. The serious situation urges hospitals to adapt to changes and search new directions of management. They need to establish and implement appropriate positioning strategy, and increase management efficiencies. Korean healthcare system has similarities with Japanese in many aspects. The recent reform and changes in Japanese healthcare system and hospitals give suggestions to Korean hospitals as to how they can prepare for environmental changes and improve management.

The coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic has affected 1,029,968 people in Asia as of May 16, 2020. Although Asia was the first continent to be affected, many countries in the region continue to battle COVID-19, which challenges the way transplant programs provide their services. Given the diversity of healthcare systems in Asia, the countermeasures in response to COVID-19 are as potentially diverse. This review reports the experiences of transplant services in member countries of the Asian Society of Transplantation (AST) as well as provides a platform for sharing of best practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. AST invited member countries to provide a short description of their transplant experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Whenever information is available, countries were asked to provide information on COVID-19 related statistics, status of transplant programs, mitigation measures taken to prevent COVID-19, and other areas of transplant programs impacted by COVID-19. Ten countries responded to the invitation of which seven still have active transplant programs at varying levels of activity. All countries have protocols for donor/recipient screening and countermeasures to prevent COVID-19 infections in recipients and healthcare providers. Interestingly, these countries report only 16 transplant recipients with COVID-19 infection but no cases of donor-transmitted COVID-19 infection. Despite the diversity of healthcare systems in Asia, transplant centers in Asia have taken appropriate precautions to avoid COVID-19 infections, though the long-term impact of COVID-19 remains unclear.

Gastric adenocarcinoma of the fundic gland mucosa type (GA-FGM) was proposed as a new variant of gastric adenocarcinoma of the fundic gland type (GA-FG). However, at present, the influence of Helicobacter pylori and the speed of progression and degree of malignancy in GA-FGM remain unclear. Herein, we report the first case of intramucosal GA-FGM that was endoscopically observed before and after H. pylori eradication over 15 years. The lesion showed the same tumor size with no submucosal invasion and a low MIB-1 labeling index 15 years after its detection using endoscopy. The endoscopic morphology changed from 0-IIa before H. pylori eradication to 0-IIa+IIc and then 0-I after H. pylori eradication. These findings suggest that the unaltered tumor size reflects low-grade malignancy and slow growth, and that the endoscopic morphology is influenced by H. pylori eradication.
