Inkjet Printing and In-Situ Crystallization of Biopigments for Eco-Friendly and Energy-Efficient Fabric Coloration

        Yujuan He,Yu Cao,황현준,Sarath M. Vega Gutierrez,Shujie Li,Hsiou-Lien Chen,Seri C. Robinson,Chih Hung Chang,Rajiv Malhotra 한국정밀공학회 2022 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.9 No.3

Current methods of fabric dyeing have a significant negative effect on the environment via toxic effluent emissions, high water usage, and high energy consumption. We demonstrate, for the first time, low-energy inkjet printing of an ecofriendly and biodegradable pigment derived from widely available spalting fungi with synthesis by-products that are fully biodegradable. Vivid and stable coloration is achieved on polyester and cotton using benign acetone-based and ethanol-based biopigment inks, with no liquid effluent or runoff, and without any synthetic dyes or mordants. We investigate the influence of fabric type, solvent type, and the number of printing passes on the color type, intensity, and uniformity, pigment crystallization, and environmental stability. Greater spatial definition of the printed pigment in inkjet printing effects greater crystallization and more vivid and uniform coloration as compared to drop-casting, the primary method used till date to color fabrics with such fungal biopigments. pH-driven interactions between the fabric, solvent, and biopigment cause solvent-driven changes in color type (from bluish to reddish) and fabric-governed changes in color intensity. The impact of our findings on minimizing the environmental impact of fabric dyeing is discussed.

      • Research on Large Customer Satisfaction Evaluation of China Netcom Corporation Daqing Branch

        Yanling Xial,Yingxue Li,Yujuan He 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 2009 인하대학교 정석물류통상연구원 학술대회 Vol.2009 No.10

In the paper, a large customer satisfaction evaluation index system is constructed, which involves five broad categories including corporate image, service attitude service quality, and 21 individual indexes, for example popularity, Value for money and so on. By using fuzzy theory, the fuzzy evaluation model of large customer satisfaction is been established. And then, based on a questionnaire survey for the main districts and counties in Daqing, the paper completes large customer satisfaction evaluation of the China Netcom Corporation Daqing branch and gives the advantages and disadvantages in the customer service, in order to further improving the large customer satisfaction.

Aquaporin-1 facilitates proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells via GRB7-mediated ERK and Ras activation

        Wang Zhenjie,Wang Yujuan,He Yuan,Zhang Ning,Chang Wei,Niu Yahui 한국통합생물학회 2020 Animal cells and systems Vol.24 No.5

Gastric cancer, one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract, is devoid of effective treatment owing to its highly invasive ability. Aquaporins (AQPs), transmembrane water channel proteins, has been shown to be involved in the malignancy of gastric cancer. This study aims to investigate the pathophysiological roles of AQP-1 in gastric cancer. We first demonstrated quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction analysis and found upregulation of AQP-1 in gastric cancer cell lines. Additionally, silence of AQP-1 inhibited cell proliferation via decrease of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and minichromosome maintenance complex component 2 (MCM2). Moreover, migration and invasion of gastric cancer cells were also suppressed by the interference of AQP-1. However, the tumorigenic mechanism of AQP-1 on gastric cancer is yet to be found. We demonstrated western blot analysis and found that knockdown of AQP-1 decreased protein expression of phospho (p)-GRB7 (growth factor receptor-bound protein 7) and led to a remarkable reduction of p-extracellular signalregulated kinase (ERK) via inactivation of RAS. In general, our findings indicated that AQP-1 facilitates proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells via GRB7-mediated ERK and Ras activation, illuminating a novel AQP-1-RAS/ERK molecular axis as regulator in gastric cancer progression and suggesting potential implications in the treatment of gastric cancer.

Moving Rate of Positive Patient Results as a Quality Control Tool for High-Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin T Assays

        Li Tingting,Cao Shunwang,Wang Yi,Xiong Yujuan,He Yuting,Ke Peifeng,Huang Xianzhang 대한진단검사의학회 2021 Annals of Laboratory Medicine Vol.41 No.1

Background: A small shift in high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) assays can lead to different result interpretation and consequent patient management. We explored whether a small bias could be detected using conventional internal quality control (QC) procedures, evaluated the performance of moving average (MA)-based QC procedures, and proposed a new QC procedure based on the moving rate (MR) of positive patient results of hs-cTnT assays. Methods:The ability of conventional QC to detect a 5 ng/L bias was examined using the13s/ 22s/R4s multi-rule procedure as deviation rules. We developed MA and MR procedures for the hs-cTnT assay using eight months of patient data. The performance of different MA or MR procedures was investigated by calculating the median number of patient samples affected until a bias introduced into the dataset was detected (MNPed). After comparing the MNPed across different procedures, we selected an optimal MA or MR procedure for validation. Validation graphs were plotted using the minimum, median, and maximum number of results affected until bias detection. Results: Our conventional QC procedures could not detect a positive bias of 5 ng/L. When a positive bias was introduced, MNPed was much higher using MA than using MR, with cut-off values of 5 ng/L and 14 ng/L, respectively. MR validation charts for optimal procedures provided insight into the MR performance. Conclusions: The MR procedure could detect different errors with few false alarms. In the hs-cTnT assay, the MR procedure with a smaller cut-off value outperformed MA and conventional QC procedures for small bias detection.

Screening and Identification of ClpE Interaction Proteins in Streptococcus pneumoniae by a Bacterial Two-Hybrid System and Co-immunoprecipitation

        WenJuan Yan,YingYing Cai,Qun Zhang,YuSi Liu,WenChun Xu,YiBing Yin,YuJuan He,Hong Wang,XueMei Zhang 한국미생물학회 2013 The journal of microbiology Vol.51 No.4

Hsp100/Clp proteins have crucial functions in the protein quality control, stress tolerance, and virulence of many pathogenic bacteria. ClpE is an important virulence factor involved in adherence and invasion in Streptococcus pneumoniae. To explore the underlying mechanism, we screened ClpE interaction proteins using a bacterial two-hybrid system and co-immunoprecipitation. We used ClpE as bait and constructed the pBT-ClpE bait plasmid for two-hybrid screening. Then, we constructed ClpE::GFP fusion for co-immunoprecipitation screening using anti-GFP monoclonal antibody. We obtained eight potential ClpE interaction proteins, including carbamoyl-phosphate synthase, pyruvate oxidase (SpxB), phosphoenolpyruvate-protein phosphotransferase, aminopeptidase N (pepN), L-lactate dehydrogenase, ribosomal protein S4, sensor histidine kinase (SPD_2019), and FtsW (a cell division protein). FtsW, SpxB, pepN, and SPD_2019 were confirmed to interact with ClpE using Bacterial Two-hybrid or Co-immunoprecipitation. Morphologic observations found that ΔclpE strain existed in abnormal division. β-Galactosidase activity assay suggested that ClpE contributed to the degradation of FtsW. Furthermore, FtsW could be induced by heat shock. The results suggested that ClpE might affect cell division by regulating the level of FtsW. These data may provide new insights in studying the role of ClpE in S. pneumoniae.
