Background: Ingenol mebutate gel is a novel, fielddirected topical treatment for actinic keratosis (AK). No clinical study has been conducted to investigate its efficacy and safety in Asian populations. Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ingenol mebutate gel for treating AK of face/scalp and trunk/extremities in a large Asian (Korean) population. Methods: In this multi-centre, open-label, interventional, parallel group, prospective phase 4 study (PERFECT, NCT02716714), the eligible subjects were allocated into either the face/scalp or the trunk/extremities group. After application of ingenol mebutate gel, the subjects were followed-up for 6 months. The primary efficacy endpoint was complete clearance (CC) rate of AK lesions in the selected treatment area on Day 57. The quality of life was evaluated using Skindex-29. Safety endpoints included local skin responses, scar, pigmentation, pain, and adverse events. Results: In total, 78.1% (95% CI: 66.86-86.92%) of subjects had CC on day 57, with 76.6% (95% CI: 64.31-86.25%) in face/scalp group and 88.9% (95% CI: 51.75-99.72%) in trunk/extremities group. Among them, the CC rate was sustained in 88.9% (48/54 subjects, 95% CI: 77.37-95.81%) on Month 6. Skidex-29 improved with the treatment, especially regarding emotions and symptoms. The local skin responses significantly increased 1 day after the treatment compared to baseline, and decreased afterwards. Conclusion: Ingenol mebutate is effective for the treatment of AK in Asians.
GRADIENT TYPE ESTIMATES FOR LINEAR ELLIPTIC SYSTEMS FROM COMPOSITE MATERIALS
Youchan Kim,Pilsoo Shin Korean Mathematical Society 2023 대한수학회지 Vol.60 No.3
In this paper, we consider linear elliptic systems from composite materials where the coefficients depend on the shape and might have the discontinuity between the subregions. We derive a function which is related to the gradient of the weak solutions and which is not only locally piecewise Hölder continuous but locally Hölder continuous. The gradient of the weak solutions can be estimated by this derived function and we also prove the local piecewise gradient Hölder continuity which was obtained by the previous results.

In this paper, we find all the prime numbers p that satisfy the following statement. If a positive integer k is a divisor of p-1, then there is a sequence consisting of all k-th power residues modulo p, satisfying the recurrence equation of the Fibonacci sequence modulo p.
ELLIPTIC OBSTACLE PROBLEMS WITH MEASURABLE NONLINEARITIES IN NON-SMOOTH DOMAINS
Kim, Youchan,Ryu, Seungjin Korean Mathematical Society 2019 대한수학회지 Vol.56 No.1
The $Calder{\acute{o}}n$-Zygmund type estimate is proved for elliptic obstacle problems in bounded non-smooth domains. The problems are related to divergence form nonlinear elliptic equation with measurable nonlinearities. Precisely, nonlinearity $a({\xi},x_1,x^{\prime})$ is assumed to be only measurable in one spatial variable $x_1$ and has locally small BMO semi-norm in the other spatial variables x', uniformly in ${\xi}$ variable. Regarding non-smooth domains, we assume that the boundaries are locally flat in the sense of Reifenberg. We also investigate global regularity in the settings of weighted Orlicz spaces for the weak solutions to the problems considered here.
AP-Based Handoff Management Scheme Using Multiple Interfaces in IEEE 802.11 Wireless LANs

<P>We propose an AP-based handoff management scheme in which each AP having multiple interfaces communicates with MSs by turns, prohibiting from using the same channel as neighboring APs at the same time to avoid interference. In the proposed scheme, APs support handoff management to accomplish MS-unaware handoff. Performance evaluation shows that the proposed scheme can not only achieve low handoff delay, but enhance throughput performance.</P>
