        生長調節物質이 人蔘 胚培養에 있어 器官分化에 미치는 影響

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect of phytohormones, IBA, GA, kinetin and BA on regeneration of plantlet, morphological characteristics of inflorescence development, growth of explant and saponin content in embryo culture of Panax ginseng. For the induction of adventitious buds and regeneration of plantlet from adventitious buds, GA was more effect than IBA, kinetin, or BA. The plantlet regeneration and inflorescence development were significantly promoted by adding 3mg/1 IBA and 3mg/1 BA together. Fresh and dry weight and saponin content of plantlet were significantly increased by adding 3mg/1 each of IBA and GA or same amount of IBA and BA. In vitro flowers were appeared at the shoot apex. The regenerated plantlets had the 2 petioles such like field grown 2 yearold ginseng.

        人蔘 休眠芽培養에 있어 生長調節物質이 休眠打破에 미치는 影響

        This study was carried out to investigate the possibility of the shortening of generation and mass propagation by in vitro propagation of dormancy bud which is taken out from rhizome of Panax ginseng. There were investigated the effect of MS medium supplemented with GA, NAA, or IBA on dormancy breaking and rooting. Application of GA 30mg/ℓ in MS medium was effect on reducing of dormancy period and expanding of leaf. For rooting and root growth, application of IBA was more effective than that of NAA. Application of IBA 5mg/ℓ alone, or NAA 1mg/ℓ and IBA 5mg/ℓ combination resulted better effect. The rooting of the young bud was possible by treatment of IBA and NAA after dormancy breaking and leaf expansion by GA treatment. Rooting induction of old-aged ginseng was possible, however was so weaker than that of young one. Differentition of root showed vigorous growth of fine root without thickening of primary root.

        人蔘 優良系統의 生長 및 成分 比較

        This study was carried out to clarify the characteristics of 5 superior lines. selected for development of varieties of ginseng(Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) The growth of 2-year-old superior lines was better than that of Jakyungjong and KG 102 line among them showed the most vigorous growth. And 4-year-old superior lines also showed vigorous growth in aerial parts. Especially, KG 102 line showed short and multiple stems. Crude saponin and ginsenoside contents were found in a high yield in both taproot and lateral root of KG 103 line and ginsenoside contents were also found in a high yield in lateral root of KG 104 line. Ginsenoside -Rb₁ and -Rg₁ were found in a high yield in the taproot of KG 101,102,103 and 104 lines but in a low yield in Jakyungjong and Hwangsookjong. Ginsenosides -Ra and -Ro were found in a high yield in the taproot of KG 101 line but were not found in KG 104 line. Hwangsookjong showed the low yield of crude saponin and ginsenosides but ginsenoside pattern was uniform. Anthocyanin contents were found in a high yield in aerial parts of KG 103 line.

        高麗人蔘 早ㆍ晩期 出芽 系統群의 主要特性 比較

        The characters of aerial parts and root were investigated in early and late emergence groups of ginseng lines to obtain the basic information for ginseng breeding. Ginseng plants flowered about the middle of May regardless of early and late emergence. The aerial parts were more vigorous in the late emergence lines than in the early emergence lines. And the root characters of late emergence lines were also better than those of early emergence lines. Significant variation for several traits was observed in early and late emergence lines. Especially, significant correlation between root weight and some aerial part characters, such as stem length, stem diameter, and leaf area, was observed. Multi-stem ginseng plants were highly susceptible to the Alternaria stem rot as compaired with single stem ginseng plants. Therefore, the results above-mentioned suggests that it is desirable to select late emergence lines for high yield of ginseng roots.

        高麗人蔘의 紫莖種과 黃熟種 紅蔘品質 特性比較

        In order to clarify the characteristics of red ginseng quality of Jakyung-jong(violetstem variant) and Hwangsook-jong(yellow-berry variant) in Panax ginseng, the red ginseng grades were classified. The ratio of Chun-sam(Heaven grade) was higher in Hangsook-jong than in jakyung-jong, and Chun-sam was also degraded to poor quality, jee-sam and Yang-sam, by second classification. Poor quality of red ginseng was caused by inside white, inside cavity, cracking, poor rhizome, and so on. Especially, the ratio of inside white showed the highest among them, and was higher in Jakyung-jong than in Hwangsook-jong. And it was found that the high quality red ginseng was larger in Hwangsook-jong than in Jakyung-jong.

        Differences of some characteristics of Korean ginseng plant between red-and Yellow-berry-variant were investigated and discussed to obtain fundamental data for breeding culturing improvement in ginseng plant. 1. Bud emergence and flowering of Yellow variant were somewhat earlier and elongation rate of peduncle of yellow variant was higher than those of red variant at early growth stage. 2. Red variant and rear row plant contained more chlorophyll as compared with yellow variant and front plants, respectively. 3. Growth of aerial part, size and weight of seed, and growth of underground part were generally better in red variant than in yellow one. 4. Number and size of stomata were larger in red variant than in yellow one. 5. There was no remarkable differences in content of total saponins between the two variants, but yellow one contained much ginsenoside Rd in leaf while red one contained much ginsenoside Rd in leaf and seed.
