방사선을 조사한 생쥐 장기에서의 Superoxide Dismutase 분포에 대한 연구

The cytosolic and mitochondrial supreoxide dismutases (EC 1.15.1.1) were investigated in various organs, thyroid gland, lung, heart, liver, spleen and kidney, of normal and irradiated mice. The mouse organs were fractionated into cytosolic and mitochondrial fractions by differential centrifugation, and the supsroxidp dismutase was measured by the method of McCord and Fridovich. The mouse organs contain two types of superoxide dismutase ; one is localized in the cytosol and contains cupper and zinc, the other in the mitochondria and contains manganese. Superoxide dismutasc activity was found in all organs of mouse investigated, and maximal activity of enzyme was observed in liver. most of superoxide dismutase activity, 79-86%, was present in the cytosolic fraction, and the rest was associated with mitochondria. The activity of cytosolic superoxide dismutase was most prominent in the liver among those tissues assayed. However, that of mitochoadrial enzyme was highest in the heart. Thc specific activity of superoxide dismutase in mitochondria was found about 2-5 folds greater than that of the enzyme in cytosol and cyanide inhibit the activity of cytosolic enzyme but not mitochondrial enzyme, In irradiatcd mice, the enzyme activity and the specific activity of superoxide dismutase in cytosol and mitochondna of various organs were decreased with minimal value on 7th and l4th day after exposured by whole body-irradiation.
췌십이지장절제술 후 발생한 지속적인 구토증과 Wernicke 뇌병증

Wernicke encephalopathy is an acute neurologic disorder attributable to thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency. We report the case of a 61-year-old female patient who presented Wernicke encephalopathy after surgery for pancreatic head cancer. From the ninth postoperative day, she had suffered from nausea and vomiting and had difficulties ingesting food, she was given total parenteral nutrition (TPN), but lacked adequate vitamin (thiamine) supplementation. After 28 days, she developed ataxia, ophthalmoplegia, and mental confusion. The magnetic resonance image showed pathologic changes in the medial thalamus,periaqueductal gray matter, medulla and mamillary bodies. The blood level of thiamine was very low. After intravenous and oral supplementation of thiamine (200 mg/day), consciousness was soon normalized and neurologic symptoms have gradually been improving. Nausea and vomiting disappeared after administration of a low dose of mirtazapine (7.5 mg/day). We emphasize the importance of thiamine supplementation to the patients who suffer from vomiting which hinders them from taking food and who require prolonged TPN.
경주 최부자 가문의 양택을 통해 본 풍수인식에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to research the feng-shui theory reflected in the philosophy of the Choi family upper class by analyzing the conditions of the feng-shui locations of the family-related sites. For this purpose, two residential areas(Chunguidang and Choi's Old House) have been selected. This study shows that two locations are highly suitable to feng-shui theory. The Choi family upper class was a Sajok during the Joseon dynasty in the Gyeong-Ju region who understood feng-shui theory very well. Their recognition of feng-shui was expressed via their search for the best site(Myungdang) and their application of the Bibo concept to improve minor defects in their settlement area in terms of feng-shui. This study is limited to analysis of two residential areas of the Choi family except their graves. Nevertheless, this study shows a part of recognitions of feng-shui of Sajok during the Joseon dynasty in the Gyeong-Ju region. This study helps people better understand the philosophy and thought of the Choi family upper class. 본 연구의 목적은 경주 최부자 가문 유적지의 風水적 특성을 분석하고, 이에 담겨 있는 최부자 가문의 풍수적 인식을 고찰하는 것이다. 이를 위한 연구대상으로 최부자 가문의 주요 양택지 두 곳인 내남 이조리 충의당과 교동 고택을 선정하였다.연구 결과, 충의당과 교동 고택 모두 양택지로서의 길지 조건을 갖추고 있었다. 이를 통해 조선시대 경주지역 사족인 최부자 가문 역시 그들의 생활 철학 속에 풍수적 인식을 상당 부분 보유하고 있었으며, 이러한 풍수적인식이 吉地를 찾고 定住地의 풍수적 결함을 裨補하는 등의 실제적인 노력으로 표출되었음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 그들의 풍수적 인식이 교동 시대인 조선 후기로 갈수록 발전하였음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 한계점은 최부자 가문의 양택에만 국한된 분석이며, 음택을 연구 대상에서 제외시킨 것이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 본 연구는 조선후기 경주지역 사족의 풍수 인식의 일면을 보여주고, 동시에 최부자 가문의 생활철학과 사상에 대한 이해를 한층 높이는 데에도 일조할 수 있다는 데에 본 연구의 의의가 있다 하겠다.
원관에서 원통형 초크의 차압을 이용한 맥동유동의 유량 측정법

A new instantaneous flowmeter is developed by means of cylindrical chokes. In this method the instantaneous flowrate through chokes is predicted in real time from measurement of pressure difference on both sides of cylindrical choke. The experimental study for the flowrate of pulsating flow in a pipe is carried out to measure differential pressure drop by using a strain gage pressure transducer with data acquisition and processing system. A pulsating flow is verified by visualization method.

The flow characteristics of laminar pulsating flows are studied experimentally in a curved pipe. Velocity profiles, wall shear stress distributions and pressure gradients are investigated both analytically and experimentally for fully developed laminar pulsating flows of a curved pipe. Velocity profiles and pressure gradients in a curved pipe flow are measured over ranges of Reynolds number and dimensionless frequencies. A laminar pulsating flow in a curved pipe was analyzed solution and following conclusions were obtained: 1) In the case of large flow rate ratio, the axial velocity has maximum value a little outside of center of the pipe for a small Womersley number. 2) When the flow rate trtio becomes smaller, two pairs of vortices are found thorugh a cycle. The wall shearing stress has large value at the outer wall and outside of upper and lower walls. 3) As η decreases, the velocity profile becomes similar to one in the steady flow. 4) As the Wormersly number becomes 10, some of the secondary vortices disappear and new vortices which repeat combination and disjunction are formed in the cross section.

A light rail transit, using a linear induction motor, is generally composed with reaction plates along railroad track and the three phase primary on the vehicle. This linear induction motor is driven to keep clearance between the primary and the secondary of the ground for preventing any contact. Therefore efficiency and power factor is very low. In addition, the reaction plate installed on the ground throughout entire railway is impossible to keep uniform gap and it may cause system deterioration. In this paper, A rotary-type small-scale model of a linear induction motor for various characteristic analysis is designed. Thrust force, normal force and input current of the model by air-gap variation have been analyzed by using a Finite Element Method (FEM). The effects of air-gap variation on system performance have been considered by analysis results.
