A QoS-aware Adaptive Coloring Scheduling Algorithm for Co-located WBANs

Interference may occur when several co-located wireless body area networks (WBANs) share the same channel simultaneously, which is compressed by resource scheduling generally. In this paper, a QoS-aware Adaptive Coloring (QAC) scheduling algorithm is proposed, which contains two components: interference sets determination and time slots assignment. The highlight of QAC is to determine the interference graph based on the relay scheme and adapted to the network QoS by multi-coloring approach. However, the frequent resource assignment brings in extra energy consumption and packet loss. Thus we come up with a launch condition for the QAC scheduling algorithm, that is if the interference duration is longer than a threshold predetermined, time slots rescheduling is activated. Furthermore, based on the relative distance and moving speed between WBANs, a prediction model for interference duration is proposed. The simulation results show that compared with the state-of-the-art approaches, the QAC scheduling algorithm has better performance in terms of network capacity, average delay and resource utility.
Multipath Routing and Spectrum Allocation for Network Coding Enabled Elastic Optical Networks

The benefits of network coding in all-optical multicast networks have been widely demonstrated. Inthis paper, we mainly discuss the multicast service efficiently provisioning problem in the network codingenabled elastic optical networks (EONs). Although most research on routing and spectrum allocation (RSA)has been widely studied in the elastic optical networks (EONs), rare research studies RSA for multicastin the network coding enabled EON, especially considering the time delay constraint. We propose anefficient heuristic algorithm, called Network Coding based Multicast Capable-Multipath Routing andSpectrum Allocation (NCMC-MRSA) to solve the multipath RSA for multicast services in the networkcoding enabled EON. The well-known layered graph approach is utilized for NCMC-MRSA, and tworequest ordering strategies are utilized for multiple multicast requests. From the simulation results, weobserve that the proposed algorithm NCMC-MRSA performs more efficient spectrum utilization comparedwith the benchmark algorithms. NCMC-MRSA utilizing the spectrum request balancing (SRB) orderingstrategy shows the most efficient spectrum utilization performance among other algorithms in most testnetworks. Note that we also observe that the efficiency of NCMC-MRSA shows more obvious than thebenchmark algorithm in large networks. We also conduct the performance comparisons of two requestordering strategies for NCMC-MRSA. Besides, we also evaluate the impact of the number of the linkdisjointparallel w paths on the spectrum utilization performance of the proposed algorithm NCMC-MRSA. It is interesting to find that the change of the parameter w in a certain range has a significant impacton the performance of NCMC-MRSA. As the parameter w increases to a certain value, the performancesof NCMC-MRSA cannot be affected by the change of w any more.

Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of weaning times on the growth performance, rumen fermentation and microbial communities of yellow cattle calves. Methods: Eighteen calves were assigned to a conventional management group that was normally weaned (NW, n = 3) or to early weaned (EW) group where calves were weaned when the feed intake of solid feed (starter) reached 500 g ($EW_{500}$, n = 5), 750 g ($EW_{750}$, n = 5), or 1,000 g ($EW_{1,000}$, n = 5). Results: Compared with NW, the EW treatments increased average daily gain (p<0.05). The calves in $EW_{750}$ had a higher (p<0.05) starter intake than those in $EW_{1,000}$ from wk 9 to the end of the trial. The concentrations of total volatile fatty acids in $EW_{750}$ were greater than in NW and $EW_{1,000}$ (p<0.05). The EW treatments decreased the percentage of acetate (p<0.05). The endogenous enzyme activities of the rumen were increased by EW (p<0.05). EW had no effect on the number of total bacteria (p>0.05), but changes in bacterial composition were found. Conclusion: From the present study, it is inferred that EW is beneficial for rumen fermentation, and weaning when the feed intake of the starter reached 750 g showed much better results.

With the development of Internet, the mass media of health management have brought great change to the previous health management model. Based on big data technology and intelligence, new technology allows doctors to make more detailed tracking investigation for the elderly. In this paper, we collected data from 561 senior citizens by using online follow-up survey, and find out the influencing factors related to perceived physical condition. The result shows that the score of the perceived physical condition is 72.91 as compared to gender (T=4.032,P=0.045), age group(T=35.561,P=0.000), educational level (T=15.116, P=0.000), monthly income (T=2.800,P=0.039), marital status (T=15.458,P=0.000), self-care ability (T=49.675,P=0.000), place of abode (T=21.127,P=0.000), previous profession (T=10.030, P=0.000), type of registered permanent residence(T=11.542,P=0.001), chronic disease (T=107.02,P=0.000).

Hospital information System is a new research field; the generalized medical information includes all information products and technologies related to health. In this paper, we try to analyze rehabilitation factors related to senile liver cirrhosis concurrent hospital infections, by using the data from hospital information System .We select 60 senile liver cirrhosis patients received by hospitals from July 2012 to July 2014 as samples, review and analyze their clinical data, investigate relevant experts’ valuable recognition data, and explore factors related to senile liver cirrhosis concurrent hospital infection patients. Result shows that Senile liver cirrhosis patients are prone to hospital infections, and gram positive bacteria are the main pathogen. There are numerous rehabilitation factors, including age, aerobic exercise, complication, antibiotic, albumin, invasive operation factors, etc. Clinical staff should implement etiological treatment and establish corresponding preventive measures to reduce the incidence of hospital infections.

The thickness of glaze is one of the important indicators in the quality evaluation of Longquan celadon. But till now, there isno automatic and non-destructive method to measure it. In order to satisfy this demand, an automated method has beenproposed to measure the glaze thickness based on optical coherence tomography (OCT) technique. According to themorphological characteristics of celadon glaze in OCT image, the proposed method locates the upper and lower boundariesof the glaze layer, then the glaze thickness is automatically calculated after the axial resolution calibration of the OCT imagesfor different categories of Longquan celadon. In the experiment, the glaze OCT images of 6 different categories of Longquanceladon were applied in the glaze thickness estimation. By comparing with the physical measuring result, this method is provedto be able to measure the glaze thickness rapidly and non-destructively and the performance is enough to meet the demandof the industrial application.
