How Does Corporate Social Responsibility Affect Innovative Work Behaviour?

Viet Quoc Cao(Viet Quoc Cao ) People&Global Business Association 2023 Global Business and Finance Review Vol.28 No.4

Purpose: This research examines the effect of perceived corporate social responsibility on the employee-company relationship (organisational trust, organisational identification) and employees' future well-being and participation in innovative work practices. Design/methodology/approach: This study used a quantitative research approach by PLS-SEM analysis with a sample size of 400. The respondents are employees working for four distinct textile garment manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam. Findings: Our study found that corporate social responsibility directly impacts organisational trust, identification, well-being, and innovative work practices, and innovative work behaviours are directly related to organisational trust, employee well-being, and identification. Research limitations/implications: The study focuses on workers who have a basic understanding of corporate social responsibility. Consequently, the scope of research in diverse industries throughout the country's regions and cities must be expanded. Given the constraints, future studies should be broadened and conducted in greater detail. Each profession should concentrate its efforts on a broader range of survey subjects, such as office workers, employees, and consumers. Originality/value: Employee well-being is linked to innovative work behaviour, and the stronger the company's identity, the more likely people will be to be creative at work. The author found that people who work for a company that has a good sense of itself are more likely to be creative at work. The study shows that when employees are happy, they are more likely to work in new and innovative ways.

Broadband tunable plasmonic substrate using self-assembled gold–silver alloy nanoparticles

        Cao Van, Phuoc,Surabhi, Srivathsava,Quoc, Viet Dong,Lee, Jae Woong,Tae, Cheong Cheon,Kuchi, Rambabu,Jeong, Jong-Ryul Elsevier 2019 CURRENT APPLIED PHYSICS Vol.19 No.11

Abstract

In the present work, a facile approach of Au–Ag alloy NPs fabrication is proposed for plasmonic inclusion applicative studies. These hybrid NPs were prepared by the sequential deposition of Ag, Au layers on a glass substrate via RF-sputtering followed by high-temperature annealing. Compositional and size controllability of the NPs was attained by changing the ratio of nominal thicknesses of the respective Au, and Ag layers during the deposition. LSPR red (blue) peak shift occurs with increasing layer thickness Au (Ag) signifying the peak sensitivity. The influence of geometrical, compositional, and background media for achieving LSPR-sensitivity is examined and validated by FDTD simulation studies. With the agreeable peak shift tendencies, the proposed study of broadband tunable LSPR-sensitivity is expected to provide a framework for a wide range of plasmonic applications.

Highlights

Facile approach of fabrication Au–Ag alloy NPs on glass is proposed.

Effect of particle size and composition on LSPR sensitivity is studied.

Results are compared with FDTD simulation under the influence of alloy permittivity.

Effect of various background media on LSPR sensitivity has been investigated.

This broadband tunable LSPR-based study is meant for diverse plasmonic applications.

Metabolic Syndrome and Insulin Resistance Syndrome among Infertile Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome: A Cross-Sectional Study from Central Vietnam

Minh Tam Le,Vu Quoc Huy Nguyen,Quang Vinh Truong,Dinh Duong Le,Viet Nguyen Sa Le,Ngoc Thanh Cao 대한내분비학회 2018 Endocrinology and metabolism Vol.33 No.4

Background: Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common endocrinopathies among reproductive-age women. Its metabolic features often overlap with those associated with metabolic syndrome (MS) and insulin resistance syndrome (IRS). Theobjective of this study was to determine the prevalence and predictors of MS and IRS in infertile Vietnamese women with PCOS. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at a tertiary fertility centre at Hue University Hospital from June 2016 to November 2017. A total of 441 infertile women diagnosed with PCOS based on the revised 2003 Rotterdam consensus criteria were enrolled. MS and IRS were defined based on the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute/American Heart Association Adult Treatment Panel III 2005 and American College of Endocrinology IRS 2003 criteria, respectively. Complete clinical and biochemicalmeasurements of 318 women were available for analysis. Independent predictors of MS and IRS were identified using multivariatelogistic regression. Results: The overall prevalence of MS and IRS in women with PCOS was 10.4% and 27.0%, respectively. We identified older age(>30 years) and obesity as independent predictors of MS and IRS. Elevated anti-Müllerian hormone levels increased the risk of IRS,but not that of MS. Conclusion: MS and IRS are prevalent disorders among infertile Vietnamese women with PCOS. PCOS is not solely a reproductiveproblem. Screening and early intervention for MS and/or IRS based on anthropometric, metabolic, and reproductive hormone riskfactors should be an integral part of fertility care.

Fill factor controlled nanoimprinted ZnO nanowires based on atomic layer deposition

        Surabhi, Srivathsava,Luong, Chi Hieu,Kim, Min Yi,Van, Phuoc Cao,Quoc, Viet Dong,Kuchi, Rambabu,Lee, Jae-Woong,Chang, Hyo-Sik,Jeong, Jong-Ryul ELSEVIER 2018 Current Applied Physics Vol.18 No.6

Abstract

Enhanced diffraction by sub-wavelength nanostructures to convert incident electromagnetic radiation into waveguide modes has applications in anti-reflective coatings for optoelectronic devices. We propose a metal oxide (ZnO) nanowire grid polarizer as such a nanostructure, fabricated by ultraviolet nanoimprint lithography and whose fill factor (FF) is controlled by atomic layer deposition. Using finite difference time domain simulations, we investigated the polarization-dependent optical transmittance of the structures and calculated the polarizing efficiency. Optical profiles such as electric and magnetic field intensity and current density distributions of specific FF nanopatterns were determined for the transverse magnetic and transverse electric modes. The effects of geometrical parameters including the wire-grid period, fill ratio, and spacing between the wire-grid layers on diffraction wavelength were characterized. Respective FF-controlled ZnO nanowire structures were fabricated and their experimental optical transmittances were measured for nanowire grid polarizer applications.

Highlights

Fill factor (FF) controlled ZnO nanowires (NW) through atomic layer deposition (ALD), combined with UV-NIL were prepared.

Polarizing efficiency of NWs has increased with ALD thickness at which stronger diffraction wavelengths are observed.

ALD enables us to control the fill factor precisely in nanowire grid polarizer.

Simulation results supported by experiments confirm that the proposed FF controlled ZnO NWs can be efficient polarizers.
