Recent problems in hygienic chemistry
Uchiyama, Mitsuru The Pharmaceutical Society of Korea 1981 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.4 No.1
Hygienic Science is the science for the maintenance and the improvement of human health. Every investigation of hygienic science is originated from practical human life and the fruits of every studies should be recovered and utilized finally by social life. The planning, implementation, evaluation must be carried out by unbiased idea in view of four main aspects in Fig. 1. In the center of that figure you can put any problems that you concern if it is related to health sciences. Today. I want to mention the problem in food and environmental contaminants, referring to some recent status of may country.
Oxidation Behavior of WC-TiC-TaC Binderless Cemented Carbide under Low Partial Pressure of Oxygen
Uchiyama Yasuo,Ueno Shuji,Sano Hideaki,Tanaka Hiroki,Nakahara Kenji,Sakaguchi Shigeya,Nakano Osamu 한국분말야금학회 2006 한국분말야금학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2006 No.1
WC-TiC-TaC binderless cemented carbide was oxidized under low partial pressure of oxygen (50ppm) at 873K for 1 to 20 h. Surface roughness was measured using atomic force microscope, and effect of TiC amount on oxidation behavior of the carbide was investigated. WC phase was oxidized more easily than WC-TiC-TaC solid solution phase. With an increase in TiC amount, WC-TiC-TaC phase increased and the oxidation resistance of the carbide increased.
The Rolling-Sliding Friction of Rubber and the Behavior of Contact Area
Y. UCHIYAMA,N. MONDEN,T. MIYAO,T. IWAI 한국트라이볼로지학회 2002 한국트라이볼로지학회 학술대회 Vol.2002 No.10
Rolling-sliding friction was investigated for three SBR (styrene-butadiene rubber) specimens including silica-tilled. HAF carbon black-tilled, and SAF carbon black-tilled SBR. When a rubber wheel was rolled against a glass disk, the coefficient of friction varied with the slip ratios. The coefficient of friction for the silica-tilled SBR showed the highest value of the rubber specimens examined under various slip ratios. The contact areas of silica-filled SBR were larger than those of the carbon black-filled SBRs, as indicated the modulus of the silica-tilled SBR showing the lowest value. The contact area during rolling-sliding friction was always smaller than those during the static contact. The friction force at the unit contact area for the silica-filled SBR under braking and driving was higher than those of carbon black-filled SBRs.
Apiculture knowledge transmission in a changing world: Can family-owned knowledge be opened?
Yuta Uchiyama,Hikaru Matsuoka,Ryo Kohsaka 한국식품연구원 2017 Journal of Ethnic Foods Vol.4 No.4
Background Ecosystem services of pollinators have been gaining importance, as mentioned in the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services thematic report on pollination in 2016. Apart from wild bees, human interventions including apiculture can contribute to management of ecosystem services. Ecological and local knowledge of management is transmitted through various processes, varying in content and quality. Methods We analyzed the processes of knowledge transmission, beekeeping productivity, and their interactions with each other. The study was conducted in the Nagano Prefecture, Japan, where the largest quantity of bee honey is produced nationally. Beekeeping knowledge in Nagano is transmitted through different information channels, including families, friends, and books. We categorized the beekeepers based on their information channels. The relationship between productivity of beekeeping and information channels was also analyzed. Results It was identified that beekeepers who obtained their knowledge from their parents had relatively large number of bee colonies. Furthermore, we observed by interviews with them that they tended to understand the importance of ecological conditions for sustainable beekeeping. Conclusion The results implied a challenge to open the knowledge transmission channels beyond families, potentially transforming the knowledge from tacit knowledge among limited members to an explicit manualized knowledge in an aging society.
Robust Reinforcement Learning Control System with H∞ Tracking Performance Compensator
Shogo Uchiyama,Masanao Obayashi,Takashi Kuremoto,Kunikazu Kobayashi 제어로봇시스템학회 2011 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2011 No.10
Robust control theory generally guarantees robustness and stability of the closed-loop system, however it requires mathematical model of the system to design the control system. Therefore, it can’t often deal with nonlinear systems because of difficulty of modeling of the system. Other, reinforcement learning method can deal with the nonlinear system without mathematical model, however, it usually doesn’t guarantee the stability of control. In this paper, we propose a “Robust Reinforcement Learning Control System (RRLCS)“ through combining reinforcement learning to treat unknown nonlinear systems and using robust control theory to guarantee the robustness and stability of the system. As a robust control method, we adopt H∞ control which is robust to modelling error and disturbance. On the other hand, as a reinforcement learning method, we adopt an Actor-Critic method with minimal amount of computation for the continuous action and state space. Moreover, we analyze the stability of the proposed system using H∞ tracking performance and Lyapunov function. Finally, through the computer simulation for controlling the inverted pendulum system, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method comparing with an Adaptive Fuzzy Control method with H∞ tracking performance compensator (AFC) and an Auto-Structuring Fuzzy Neural Control System method (ASFNCS).
