Synthesis of CeO2 Nanoparticles Derived by Urea Condensation for Chemical Mechanical Polishing

        Zhenyang Wang,Tongqing Wang,Lifei Zhang,Xinchun Lu 대한금속·재료학회 2023 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.19 No.6

The synthesis of CeO2 nanoparticles for CeO2 based slurry gains continuous emphasis on improving its performance in the chemical mechanical polishing of dielectric materials. Urea was selected to dominate the growth and morphology during the calcination process. Thermogravimetry experiments were used to analyze the the decomposition behavior. Particle morphology and size were analyzed. Crystalline phase information and surface valence were used to compare the differences in surface physical and chemical properties of ceria by different synthesis process. The CeO2 nanoparticles synthesized with urea were dispersed in water as slurry. The particle sizes of CeO2 were measured by dynamic light scattering. The Zeta potential of CeO2 dispersion were measured to show dispersing performance. The CeO2 nanoparticles synthesized with urea condensation show good monodisperse properties. The material removal rate of silicon oxide and surface quality after chemical mechanical polishing were selected to evaluate the chemical mechanical polishing performance. The CeO2 nanoparticles synthesized with urea condensation not only yielded better surface quality results than the commercial slurry but also showed a 153% (pH = 4) and 100% (pH = 10) increase in the material removal rate of silicon oxide compared to commercial.

Complete mitochondrial genome of freshwater goby Rhinogobius cliffordpopei (Perciformes, Gobiidae): genome characterization and phylogenetic analysis

        Liqiang Zhong,Minghua Wang,Daming Li,Shengkai Tang,Tongqing Zhang,Wenji Bian,Xiaohui Chen 한국유전학회 2018 Genes & Genomics Vol.40 No.11

Freshwater gobies Rhinogobius cliffordpopei and R. giurinus are invasive species with particular concern because they have become dominant and were fierce competitors in the invaded areas in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau (southwest of China). Information about genetic characteristics of R. giurinus have been published, but there were still no relevant reports about R. cliffordpopei. In present study, the complete mitochondrial genome of R. cliffordpopei was determined, which was 16,511 bp in length with A + T content of 51.1%, consisting of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNAs, 2 ribosomal RNAs, and a control region. The gene composition and the structural arrangement of the R. cliffordpopei complete mtDNA were identical to most of other teleosts. Phylogenetic analyses placed R. cliffordpopei in a well-supported monophyletic cluster with other Rhinogobius fish. But the phylogenetic relationship between genus Rhinogobius and Tridentiger remained to be resolved.

      • Experiments and theory for progressive collapse resistance of ECC-concrete composite beam-column substructures

        Weihong Qin,Wang Song,Peng Feng,Zhuo Xi,Tongqing Zhang 국제구조공학회 2023 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.85 No.1

To explore the effect of Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) on improving the progressive collapse resistance of reinforced concrete frames under a middle column removal scenario, six beam-column substructures were tested by quasistatic vertical loading. Among the six specimens, four were ECC-concrete composite specimens consisting of different depth of ECC at the bottom or top of the beam and concrete in the rest of the beam, while the other two are ordinary reinforced concrete specimens with different concrete strength grades for comparison. The experimental results demonstrated that ECC-concrete composite specimens can improve the bearing capacity of a beam-column substructure at the stages of compressive arch action (CAA) and catenary action in comparison with ordinary concrete specimen. Under the same depth of ECC, the progressive collapse resistance of a specimen with ECC at the beam bottom was superior to that at the beam top. With the increase of the proportion of ECC arranged at the beam bottom, the bearing capacity of a composite substructure was increased, but the increase rate slows down with the proportion. Meanwhile, the nonlinear numerical analysis software MSC Marc was used to simulate the whole loading process of the six specimens. Theoretical formulas to calculate the capacities of ECC-concrete composite specimens at the stages of flexural action, CAA and catenary action are proposed. Based on the research results, this study suggests that ECC should be laid out at the beam bottom and the layout depth should be within 25% of the total beam depth.
