        Arteriovenous fistula of uterus is rarely reported disease. This vascular malformation is very dangerous condition because Dilatation & curettage can cause massive uterine bleeding without accurate diagnosis. The diagnosis is made by angiography, gray scale ultrasonography, color and duplex doppler ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging is helpful. Especially color and duplex doppler ultrasonography is allows convincing detection and diagnosis of arteriovenous fistula. Recently transcatheter uterine artery embolization is treatment of choice. We have experienced a case of arteriovenous fistula of uterus. Which is presented with a brief review of literature.

      • 폐쇄형 원심펌프의 임펠러유동해석

        Compute simulations for closed type centrifugal pump is carried out using the commercial code CFX Tascflow. Computed results, which are pressure, velocity between impeller and other impeller, required power and performance etc, was compared with actual experimental data. We found that there are hard loads due to velocity and pressure at in/outlet impeller, and pump head is within 10% error limit when volute head loss is considered to 20% loss of total head. Accordingly it is possible to get optimal impeller shape through the iteration improvement works. But, as this study was done for only impeller in order to confirm the validity of Tascflow program, computation including the volute is required for actual comparison. For this, volute data treatment process for grid generation remains with future projects.

      • Dickinson의 Death Poems

        Emily Dickinson contemplates or 'observes' death and immortality in so many ways. But in general her death-immortality poems can be grouped into two. One is the type that the observer herself plays the role of a dying person, the other is the one that she watches process of other people's death. Dickinson is so faithful to her own soul that she even tries to examine death as if she herself were dying. It seems to her that Death approaches like a lover with some evil contrivance or like an emperor with a majestic air, or stings like a bee, visits like a friend, kills mercilessly like an assassin, makes a surprise attack like a snake, or so forth. The effects death has on a human body are stony coldness, dead silence, and fearful numbness. Death in Dickinson's poems, however, means soul's entrance to a timeless dimension which she leaves in mystery. The port's agony lingers between Death's two contrastive effects-the body's sufferings and decay, and the soul's rest and immortality. And one of the strongest point of Dickinson as a poet is that she most fruitfully uses very simple and familiar images in our everyday life even when she deals with the very heavy subject death.

      • 사질토지반의 테이퍼-펄스말뚝 적용에 관한 실험적 연구

        In this paper, a typical drilled shaft to cylindrical and step-tapered pile, pulse pile are produced by the experiment and then captured the ground, forming Jumunjin standard sand model tests loading at sat joy bearing capacity analysis, tapered plus pulse pile was suggestions. Soft ground and the ground around the sandy soil casting of pile to skin friction research tapered pile adjusting the angle and shape for a wide range of variation of pulse pile further study is underway, and the most graft-type model is not presented. Therefore, in this study, the test bearing capacity of existing drilled shaft current analysis by the comparative analysis, as well as skin friction through mutual tapered plus pulse pile bering capacity and allow the unit to analyze and compare the suggestions model would be effective.

        The purpose of this study is to compare the specific character of health and isokinetic strength in elite and non-elite female gymnasts. Flexion of wrist joint, should or joint and hip joint, peak torque of extension, average power and so on are measured using Cybex 770 dynamometer. The results of two groups are compared. The results are as follow . 1.Back strength is higher significant(p〈.001) comparing with control. 2.Flexion at Peak torque of shoulder at 60deg/sec in female gymnast is highly significant(p〈.05) comparing with control. Extension at perk torque of shoulder at 60deg/sec, 180deg/sec in female gymnast is highly significant(p〈.05) comparing with control. 3.Flexion at peak torque % body weight of shoulder ratio at 60deg/sec, 180deg/sec is highly significant(p〈.01, p〈.05) comparing with control enter Flexion at peak torque % body weight of hip ratio at 60deg/sec, 180deg/sec, 240deg/sec in female gymnasts is highly significant(p〈.01, p〈.05) comparing with control. Extension at ratio of shoulder, hip and wrist at 60deg/sec, 180deg/sec in female gymnasts is highly significant(p〈.05) comparing with control. 4.Flexion of average power at 60deg/sec, 180deg/sec, 240deg/sec in shoulder is highly significant (p〈.01, p〈.05) comparing with control. Flexion of average power at 240deg/sec in hip is highly significant(p〈.01, p〈.05) comparing with control. Flexion of average power at 60deg/sec, 180deg/sec in extension is highly significant(p〈.01, p〈.05) comparing with control. 5.Shoulder flexion of average power % body weight at 60deg/sec in female gymnast is highly significant(p〈.05) comparing with control. Hip extension of average power % body weight at 187deg/sec, 240deg/sec in female gymnast is highly significant(p〈.75) comparing with control. Wrist of average power % body weight at 90deg/sec, 180deg/sec in female gymnasts is highly significant(p〈.05) comparing with control.

        Nowadays, The number of occurrence of earthquakes has increased and accordingly the damage caused by earthquake has also increased around the world. Because it is difficult for earthquakes to be predicted in advance and earthquakes often occur concurrently, the needs for the study on the effects of earthquake was increased. Probability theory accumulated during a long time enables engineers to deal with uncertainties of structure quantitatively and to judge stability of structure reasonably. Existing method calculates uncertainties by applying safety factors but the method cannot consider the safety of structures quantitatively. When various stages of structural damage are considered, if the number of uncertainties are many, then a method is needed for assessing vulnerability and damage state appropriately. This study aims not only to present the way for finding fragility curve of structures by using universal structural analysis program and general probability density function but also to compare seismic isolation performance.

        전자토모그래피의 정량적 분석에서 대물렌즈 조리개의 영향

        Electron tomography의 정량적 분석을 위해서 대물렌즈 조리개가 투과빔의 강도에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. Electron tomography에 도입되는 Beer’s law의 올바른 적용을 위해서는 투과빔은 시료의 기울기에 따른 mass thickness의 변화에 의한 효과만을 반영해야 한다. 그러므로 빔 경로상의 대물렌즈 조리개, 홀더 등에 의한 다른 효과는 제거되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 대물렌즈 조리개의 cut-off 효과를 120 kV TEM과 Quantifoil holey 카본 시료를 이용하여 상세히 평가하였다. 대물렌즈 조리개를 사용하지 않은 경우와 비교할 때, 30 μm 크기의 대물렌즈 조리개를 통과한 투과전자빔의 강도는 약 16.7%의 감소가 일어난다. 또한 55˚이상의 고경사각 기울기에서는 대물렌즈 조리개의 cut-off 효과에 의해 14.2%의 강도 감소가 추가적으로 발생함을 알 수 있었다. Electron tomography에서 정량적 분석을 위해서는 이러한 대물렌즈 조리개의 영향을 고려해야만 한다. 또한 Beer’s law의 올바른 적용을 위해서는 일련의 기울기에 따른 2차원적 영상은 가능하면 대물렌즈 조리개를 사용하지 않은 상태에서 획득하는 것이 바람직하다. We have evaluated the effects of experimental factors on transmitted electron beam intensities for quantitative analysis in electron tomography. For the correct application of Beer’s law in electron tomography, the transmitted beam intensity should reflect the net effect of mass properties on beam path. So, the any other effects of the objective aperture and the specimen holder on beam path should be removed. The cut-off effects of objective aperture were examined using Quantifoil holey carbon film and a transmission electron microscope operated at 120 kV. The transmitted beam intensities with 30 μm objective aperture dropped about 16.7% compared to electron beam intensities without the objective aperture. Also, the additional losses of about 14.2% at high tilt angles were occurred by cut-off effects of the objective apertures. For the precise quantitative analysis in electron tomography, the effect of the objective aperture on transmitted electron beam intensities should be considered. It is desirable that 2-D tilt series images are obtained without the objective aperture for correct application of Bee’s law.

      • 아파트단지내 조경시설물 평가에 관한 연구 : 수원 매탄5단지를 사례로 A Case Study of Maetan Apartment Complex in Suwon, Korea

        This study aims to provide useful data for designing the outdoor space or planning landscape architecture facilities in apartment housing complex. Primary data were collected by questionnaire survey in Maetan Apartment Complex in Suwon. The questionnaires contain three sets of variables : outdoor environment, landscape architecture facilities, and the respondents' demographic variables. The results are as follows. 1) The apartment residents are using bench or pergola most frequently among the landscape architecture related facilities. 2) The residents are dissatisfied with shortage of parking lots, therefore, more parking area is needed in the apartment complex. 3) The residents expressed considerable concern for trees, however, they pointed out to change some species of trees and need some professional management for them. 4) The variables related landscape architecture facilities were reduced to 6 factors; 'trees', 'bench/pergola', 'excercise/playground', 'pavement', 'lighting facility', 'parking lots'. And 'trees' is perceived the most important factor by the residents. 5) Finally, 'landscape architecture facilities', is most important factor among variables consist of apartment exterior environment.

        A total of 812 middle school students, including 273 first-year students(male:156, female:117), 260 second-year students(male:138, female:122), and 279 third-year students(male:139, female:140) from U Middle School in Busan Metropolitan City, were placed into an Internet addiction group and a non-Internet addiction group based on the Young's Internet Addiction Questionnaire. A random sample of 30 students was taken in each group from each grade level and gender. In total, 360 students are the objects of this study.......
