소프트웨어 개발 방법론이 객체지향개발 방법론(OOD : Object Oriented Development)에서 점차 컴포넌트 기반 개발 방법론(CBD : Component Based Development)으로 변화되어 가는 추세이다. 경험이 많은 개발자에 의해 개발된 컴포넌트는 소프트웨어 재사용이 뛰어나고, 이미 많은 곳에서 사용 중이므로 안정성 및 신뢰성이 인정된다. 하지만 개발언어와 플랫폼의 특성에 따라 컴포넌트의 조합에 있어 어려움이 따른다. 이에 본 연구에서는 HTTP와 XML을 이용하여 개발언어와 플랫폼에 독립적으로 컴포넌트를 조합할 수 있는 방안에 대해 연구하고 기존의 컴포넌트에 HTTP와 XML을 이용한 컴포넌트 호출을 보인다.
Planning of HVDC System Applied to Korea Electric Power Grid

This paper proposes pre-analysis on planning of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system applied to Korea electric power grid. HVDC transmission system for interface lines has been considered as alternative solution for high-voltage AC transmission line in South Korea since constructing new high-voltage AC transmission lines is challenging due to political, environmental and social acceptance problems. However, the installation of HVDC transmission system as interface line in AC grid must be examined carefully. Thus, this paper suggests three scenarios to examine the influences of the installation of HVDC transmission system in AC grid. The power flow and contingency analyses are carried out for the proposed scenarios. Power reserves in metro area are also evaluated. And then the transient stability analysis focusing on special protection scheme (SPS) operations is analyzed when critical lines, which are HVDC lines or high voltage AC lines, are tripped. The latest generic model of HVDC system is considered for evaluating the impacts of the SPS operations for introducing HVDC system in the AC grid. The analyses of proposed scenarios are evaluated by electromechanical simulation.

This study was conducted to improve efficiency of a follicle culture system without reducing developmental competence of intrafollicular oocytes. Preantral follicles (100 to $125{\mu}m$ in diameter) of F1 hybrid (B6CBAF1) mice were cultured singly for 216 h in modified ${\alpha}$-MEM-glutamax medium, to which 2.5 IU/ml hCG and epidermal growth factor was added 16 h prior to the end of culture. Medium change was either performed three times (54 h interval), twice (72 h interval), once (108 h interval), or not at all (216 h interval). Maturation (progression to the metaphase II stage) of intrafollicular oocytes was detected from 4 days after culture in the three-times change treatment, while all treatments yielded mature oocytes from day 5 of culture. Compared with the three-times change, decreasing the change frequency to once did not reduce the capacity to begin maturation (germinal vesicle breakdown of 82 to 86%), to mature (78 to 79%) and to develop into blastocysts after parthenogenetic activation (29 to 32%). Morphological parameters were similar among these treatments. Except for the no medium change treatment, similar colony-forming activity of inner cell mass cells after culturing of blastocysts in leukemia inhibitory factor-containing medium was detected, while the morphology of the colony-forming cells deteriorated in the change-once treatment compared with the change twice or three-times. In conclusion, the efficiency of the preantral follicle culture system could be improved by reducing frequency of medium change up to a 72 h interval (three times in total 216 h culture) without decreasing developmental competence of oocytes.
Morphological Criteria of Bovine Ovaries for Predicting Retrieval Efficiency of Preantral Follicles

To predict the number of preantral (primordial, primary and secondary) follicles retrieved from bovine ovaries, we examined the relationship between morphological parameters of ovaries and number of preantral follicles retrieved mechanically. The preantral follicles were retrieved mechanically by slicing ovarian tissue and the influences of size of the ovaries, number of antral follicles, and presence of cystic follicle and corpus luteum on the retrieval were evaluated. Total 77 ovaries were used and significant (p<0.05) relationship was detected between the number of antral follicles and the presence of cystic follicles, and the retrieval number. More preantral follicles were retrieved from the ovaries having more than 20 antral follicles than those having less than 20 antral follicles (17,760${\pm}$5,637 vs. 3,689${\pm}$537) in the ovarian cortex. The retrieval number was significantly reduced in cystic ovaries compared with non-cystic ovaries (5,167${\pm}$825 vs. 20,631${\pm}$6,507). However, neither ovary size (<3.5, 3.5 to 4.0, 4.0 to 4.5 and >4.5 cm) nor the presence of corpus luteum affected the follicle retrieval. In conclusion, the number of preantral follicles retrieved from the ovaries can simply be predicted by the number of antral follicles and the presence of cystic follicles in the ovarian cortex.

Pharmacological Modulators of Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Metabolic Diseases

<P>The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is the principal organelle responsible for correct protein folding, a step in protein synthesis that is critical for the functional conformation of proteins. ER stress is a primary feature of secretory cells and is involved in the pathogenesis of numerous human diseases, such as certain neurodegenerative and cardiometabolic disorders. The unfolded protein response (UPR) is a defense mechanism to attenuate ER stress and maintain the homeostasis of the organism. Two major degradation systems, including the proteasome and autophagy, are involved in this defense system. If ER stress overwhelms the capacity of the cell’s defense mechanisms, apoptotic death may result. This review is focused on the various pharmacological modulators that can protect cells from damage induced by ER stress. The possible mechanisms for cytoprotection are also discussed.</P>

This reasearch is to clarify the differences of predicted wave forces on most common cylindrical structural members of offshore structures among various methods for dot-ermining either force coefficients or wave kinematics. For this purpose, computer pro-grams were made to compute both kinematics from thrpe wave theories (Small-am-plitude wave theory. Stokes finite-amplitude wave theory and Stream-function wave theory) and force coefficients from three methods (Least-Square Method, Fourier Decom-position Method and Maximum Value Method) Wave forces were measured in a two-di-mensional wave flume experiment for a horizontal circular cylinder in which the range of the Keulegan-Carpenter number was 6~ 32. and the range of the Reynolds number was 5.4×10_^(3)2.9×10_^(4). It is found that the Maximum Value Method gives higher values of force coefficients than the Least-square Method does, while the differences between the Least-square Method and the Fourier Decomposition Method are negligible. It is also found that the nonlinear wave theories give higher values of force coefficients than the linear wave theory does, while the differences among force coefficients determined by the Stokes wave theory and the Stream-function wave theory are negligible.
