        < 성산계류탁열도 > 재연 분석과 문화콘텐츠로서 가능성

        본고는 < 성산계류탁열도 > 재연행사와 관련하여 당대의 탁열세시풍속에 관한 학술적인 재조명을 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 관련 문헌자료의 고증과 검증을 거친 후 문화콘텐츠로서 가능성을 검토하여 재연행사를 정례화하기 위한 방안의 하나로써 시도하였다. 이를 위해 <서하당유고>를 서지학적으로 검토하였으며, 그 결과 < 성산계류탁열도 >는 김성원의 문집을 위해 목판그림으로 간행한 것이 아니라 당대의 보편적인 탁열세시풍속도를 목판으로 제작하여 김성원에 문집에 실린 것임을 밝혔다. 이는 정암수의 문집인 <창랑유집>에도 똑같은 목판본이 실려 있음을 통해 알 수 있었다. 또한 < 성산계류탁열도 > 행사에 같이 참여한 11명의 인물에 대한 행적을 문헌기록을 통해 살펴보았으며, 이들 모두가 성산 일대에서 같이 교유를 나눈 가까운 사이였음을 알 수 있었다. 실제 재연 현장에서 쓰인 대본을 구체적으로 살펴 행위요소에 대한 분석을 시도하였으며, 그 결과 스토리텔링으로서 문화콘텐츠적 요소를 적절히 갖추고 있음을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 문화콘텐츠의 가능성으로서 < 성산계류탁열도 >가 16세기 호남 선비들의 여름나기 풍속행사로서 문화관광상품으로 가치가 있음을 확인하였다. 이를 위해서는 좀더 다양한 콘텐츠를 개발하여 인문학적 체험과 교육의 장으로 활용할 때 그 가치를 높일 수 있다고 생각한다. 이와 같이 체계적이고 조직적으로 운영하여 무등산권의 여타 다른 누정에서도 같이 적용한다면 그 시너지 효과를 기대할 수 있을 것으로 본다. 또한 무등산권이 광주전남의 문화의 거점으로 제 기능을 할 수 있을 것으로 전망한다. < Seongsangyeorutakyeoldo > replay the events associated with the paper of the day open’ve checked the seasonal customs at thirteen. Finally, the possibility of cultural content as cultural tourism products as scholar of the 16th century, the summer customs events, has confirmed that there is a value. Watch for this chapter of the humanities experience and education, to develop a variety of content that you can take advantage of. Operating as an organized, systematic, if applied as in other books Mudeungsan pavilion, its effectiveness will increase in the future, it is expected to be able to function as a stronghold of the culture of Gwangju-Jeonnam.

        Comparison of Penetrating and Blunt Traumatic Diaphragmatic Injuries

        Purpose: Traumatic diaphragmatic injury (TDI) is no longer considered to be a rare condition in Korea. This study investigated differences in the prevalence of accompanying injuries and the prognosis in patients with traumatic diaphragmatic damage according to the mechanism of injury. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of patients with TDI who were seen at a regional emergency medical center from January 2000 to December 2018. Among severe trauma patients with traumatic diaphragmatic damage, adults older than 18 years of age with a known mechanism of injury were included in this study. Surgery performed within 6 hours after the injury was sustained was defined as emergency surgery. We assessed the survival rate and likelihood of respiratory compromise according to the mechanism of injury. Results: In total, 103 patients were analyzed. The patients were categorized according to whether they had experienced a penetrating injury or a blunt injury. Thirty-five patients had sustained a penetrating injury, and traffic accidents were the most common cause of blunt injuries. The location of the injury did not show a statistically significant difference between these groups. Severity of TDI was more common in the blunt injury group than in the penetrating injury group, and was also more likely in patients with respiratory compromise. However, sex, the extent of damage, and the initial Glasgow coma scale score had no significant relationship with severity. Conclusions: Based on the findings of this study, TDI should be recognized and managed proactively in patients with blunt injury and/or respiratory compromise. Early recognition and implementation of an appropriate management strategy would improve patients’ prognosis. Multi-center, prospective studies are needed in the future.

        Four Unrecorded Aspergillus Species from the Rhizosphere Soil in South Korea

        The genus Aspergillus is commonly isolated from various marine and terrestrial environments; however, only a few species have been studied in rhizosphere soil. As part of the Korean indigenous fungal excavation project, we investigated fungal diversity from rhizosphere soil, focusing on Aspergillus species. A total of 13 strains were isolated from the rhizosphere soil of three different plants. Based on phylogenetic analysis of b-tubulin and calmodulin and morphological characteristics, we identified five Aspergillus species. A. calidoustus and A. pseudodeflectus were commonly isolated from the rhizosphere soil. Four species were confirmed as unrecorded species in Korea: A. calidoustus, A. dimorphicus, A. germanicus, and A. pseudodeflecuts. The detailed morphological descriptions of these unrecorded species are provided.

        Polyimide nonwoven fabric-reinforced, flexible phosphosilicate glass composite membranes for high-temperature/low-humidity proton exchange membrane fuel cells

        <P>We demonstrate polyimide (PI) nonwoven fabric-reinforced, flexible proton-conductive phosphosilicate glass composite membranes for potential application in high-temperature/low-humidity proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). The new reinforced composite membrane is fabricated <I>via</I> the impregnation of a 3-glycidyloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (GPTMS)/orthophosphoric acid (H<SUB>3</SUB>PO<SUB>4</SUB>) mixture into a PI nonwoven substrate followed by <I>in situ</I> sol–gel synthesis and hydrothermal treatment. This unique structural integrity enables the reinforced composite membrane to provide unprecedented improvement in the mechanical properties (notably flexibility and thickness) over typical bulk phosphosilicate glasses that are highly fragile and thick. Meanwhile, the highly porous structure of the PI reinforcing framework allows for the facile formation of a three-dimensionally interconnected phosphosilicate glass matrix in the reinforced composite membrane, which in turn offers favorable pathways for proton transport. Another advantageous feature of the reinforced composite membrane is higher proton conductivity under dehumidified conditions, as compared to a hydration-dependent polymer electrolyte membrane such as sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone) (SPAES).       • Grafting of Polyimide onto Chemically-Functionalized Graphene Nanosheets for Mechanically-Strong Barrier Membranes

        <P>A series of polyimide (PI) nanocomposite films with different loadings of aminophenyl functionalized graphene nanosheets (AP-rGO) was fabricated by in situ polymerization. AP-rGO, a multifunctional carbon nanofiller that can induce covalent bonding between graphene nanosheets and the PI matrix, was obtained through the combination of chemical reduction and surface modification. In addition, phenyl functionalized graphene nanosheets (P-rGO) were prepared by phenylhydrazine for reference nanocomposite films. Because of homogeneous dispersion of AP-rGO and the strong interfacial interaction between AP-rGO and the PI matrix, the resulting nanocomposite films that contained AP-rGO exhibited reinforcement effects of mechanical properties and oxygen barrier properties that were even better than those of pure PI and the reference nanocomposite films. In comparison to the tensile strength and tensile modules of pure PI, the composite films that contained AP-rGO with 3 wt % loading were increased by about 106% (262 MPa) and 52% (9.4 GPa), respectively.       • Surface-Dependent, Ligand-Mediated Photochemical Etching of CdSe Nanoplatelets

        <P>Photochemical etching of CdSe nanoplatelets was studied to establish a relationship between the nanocrystal surface and the photochemical activity of an exciton. Nanoplatelets were synthesized in a mixture of octylamine and oleylamine for the wurtzite (W) lattice or in octadecene containing oleic acid for the zinc-blende (ZB) lattice. For photochemical etching, nanoplatelets were dispersed in chloroform containing oleylamine and tributylphosphine in the absence or presence of oleic acid and then irradiated with light at the band-edge absorption maxima. Etching phenomena were characterized using UV–vis absorption spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The absorption spectra of both W and ZB CdSe nanoplatelets showed that the exciton was confined in one dimension along the thickness. However, the two nanoplatelets presented different etching kinetics and erosion patterns. The rate of etching for W CdSe nanoplatelets was much faster than that for ZB nanoplatelets. Small holes were uniformly perforated on the planar surface of W nanoplatelets, whereas the corners and edges of ZB nanoplatelets were massively eroded without a significant perforation on the planar surface. This suggests that the amine-passivated surface of trivalent cadmium atoms on CdSe nanoplatelets is photochemically active, but the carboxylate-passivated surface of divalent cadmium atoms is not. Hence, the ligand, which induces the growth of W or ZB CdSe nanoplatelets, mediates the surface-dependent photochemical etching.         Association between shift work and serum homocysteine level in female electronic manufacturing services workers

        Background: Shift work has been shown to increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) based on several evidences. The classic risk factors of CVD include age, hypertension, smoking, obesity and diabetes. Recently, the serum homocysteine level has been reported to be a valuable indicator of CVD risk. This study aimed to determine the variation in serum homocysteine level as a cardiovascular risk indicator among female workers according to shift work. Methods: The data of regular health examination of workers at an electronic manufacturing services company in Yeongnam region, South Korea in 2019 were examined in this study. The investigation was based on a cross-sectional study conducted on 697 female workers (199 day workers and 498 shift workers). The sociodemographic and biochemical characteristics were compared between day workers and shift workers. Through a logistic regression analysis, the odds ratio (OR) of the increased serum homocysteine level in relation to shift work was determined. Results: Compared to female day workers, female shift workers showed significantly higher level of serum homocysteine (8.85 ± 2.16 vs. 9.42 ± 2.04 μmol/mL; p = 0.001). The OR of day workers against shift workers was 1.81 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.25–2.63). With the adjustment of variables that may influence the level of serum homocysteine, the adjusted OR was 1.68 (95% CI: 1.09–2.60). Conclusions: The serum homocysteine level was significantly higher in shift workers than in day workers. It is thus likely to be a useful predictor of CVD in shift workers.
