However, optimizationmethodsbasedonthelattereitherneedadhoclow-fidelity modelsetuporhavedifficulties inhandlingproblemswithmore thanafewdesignvariables,whichisamainbarrierforindustrialapplications.Toaddressthisissue,ageneralizedthreestagemulti-fidelitysimulation-model assistedantennadesignoptimizationframeworkisproposedinthispaper.Themainideasincludeintroductionofanoveldatamining stagehandlingthediscrepancybetweensimulationmodelsofdifferent fidelities, andasurrogate-model-assistedcombinedglobalandlocal searchstageforefficient high-fidelity simulationmodel-basedoptimization.ThisframeworkisthenappliedtoSADEA,whichisastate-of-the-art surrogate-model-assistedantennadesignoptimizationmethod,constructingSADEA-II.ExperimentalresultsindicatethatSADEA-IIsuccessfully handlesvariousdiscrepancybetweensimulationmodelsandconsiderablyoutperformsSADEAintermsofcomputationalefficiencywhile ensuringimproveddesignquality.
