오늘날 한일 대중문화 개방을 통해 실체로서 확인할 수 있는 개별 대중문화물과 문화 교류, 그리고 점증하는 한일 간의 정치적 긴장을 함께 살핌으로써 문화와 정치 사이의 접합 지점을 발견하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 문화와 정치는 개별적으로 분리되기보다는 문화적 정치로 연동되며, 이들이 어떻게 접합되는가에 따라 차이 및 모순의 비교 가능한 다양한 영역들이 구분된다. 이와 같은 전제 하에서 일본 대중문화 속 정치성을 분석하여 한일 간 정치 경색의 문화적 배후를 밝히고자 한다. 본 연구가 집중한 것은 일본 대중문화 속 근대성의 문화적 구현으로, 이를 구체적으로 살피기 위해 일본을 대표하는 망가 작가인 우라사와 나오키의 장편 망가 8편을 분석하였다. 분석은 나오키 작품에 담긴 ① 무국적성, ② 서구와 일본, 그리고 아시아의 재현, ③ 과거 일본에 대한 향수와 탈일본적 욕망에 집중되었다. 분석 결과 그의 망가는 일견 인류애와 진보적 가치를 옹호하며 보수 우익의 논리와 거리를 두는 것처럼 보인다. 하지만 역설적으로 아시아를 삭제함으로써 탈아입구, 그리고 근대의 초극과 맥이 닿는다. 이는 서양과 마주한 이래 외양은 변했을지라도 지속되는 일본의 근대성 속에 그의 망가가 위치하고 있음을 보여준다. By exploring the works of popular culture, our research aims to demonstrate that culture and politics revolve around each other. Culture and politics are not separate but are articulated into cultural politics; the process of articulation reveals various comparable areas, including contradictions and differences. Our research pays specific attention to Japanese modernity in the eight popular manga series by Naoki Urasawa. These works seemingly value peace and brotherhood, placing themselves in opposition to the logics of the conservative right wing. After engaging in a thorough reading and re-reading, however, we found three salient themes in the deep layers of the works: first, no-nationality a-nationality; second, the relationship between Japan and the West, and representation of Asia; and third, nostalgia for Japan of the past, and transnational desire. The manga series contain the ideas of leaving Asia and entering the West and overcoming modernity. Our research findings reveal that the works of popular culture, specifically those by Naoki Urasawa, subtly expose transnational desires of Japan in tandem with the tensions in international politics between Asia and Japan.

차량 내 음향 장치의 음압수준 변화에 따른 사용자의 주관적인 지각 차이에 대한 연구

When people hear sounds through sound system, perceptive loudness of each sound pressure level varies with each level. This difference causes some confusion in adjusting volume level and designing the volume level of sound systems. According to previous studies, it is known that perceptive sensitivity of variation in sound pressure level depends on the sound pressure level and frequency of sound source. However, quantitative analysis on user’s perceptive sensitivity of sound level which they actually perceive from the change of sound pressure level has not been studied yet. This study aims to understand the perceptive sensitivity of variation in sound pressure level for some specific frequency bands. To this end, 118 sound samples (frequencies: 500 ㎐, 1 ㎑, 2 ㎑, sound pressure levels: from 40㏈ SPL to 100㏈ SPL) were evaluated by 27 participants (male: 17, female: 10) in the condition of driving automobile. Based on the results of subjective ratings of unit change of sound pressure level and 2㏈ SPL, the characteristics of perceptive sensitivity of variation in sound pressure level were identified. Also, through curve fitting analysis of the subjective rating results, perceptive sensitivity curves of each frequency were estimated. According to the results, when frequency is high, the perceptive sensitivity tends to be more sensitive than the case of low frequency and the sensitivity curve was estimated to have cubic relation. These results could be used to adjust the volume level of sound system in automobile to meet customer’s perceptive characteristics and needs.
