The paper provides a comprehensive overview of the growth and development of Hwasun Neurosurgery at Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital over the past 18 years. As the first brain tumor center in Korea when it was established in April 2004, Hwasun Neurosurgery has since become one of the leading institutions in brain tumor education and research in the country. Its impressive clinical and basic research capabilities, dedication to professional education, and numerous academic achievements have all contributed to its reputation as a top-tier institution. We hope this will become a useful guide for other brain tumor centers or educational institutions by sharing the story of Hwasun Neurosurgery.

EFFECTS OF FUNCTIONAL INFORMATION OF ADVERTISING OF FUNCTIONAL CLIMBING WEAR

Three categories of basic consumer needs are functional, symbolic, or experiential (Shimp, 2010). Functional climbing wear is specially designed garment for outdoor activity and climbing movement using optimized textiles and garment making engineering process. Therefore, visible feature such as color and design could not provide sufficient information of products for proper communication between company and consumer. Product information of functional wear can be delivered to the consumers via Hang-Tag or advertising but the contents of Hang-Tag are too difficult for the consumers to understandfunctional performance of the product (Lee, Bang, & Yoo, 2014). As to advertisements of functional clothing, its contents and appeal types do not much differ from those of fashion apparel providing no functional information with celebrity models; percentage of no functional information ads were the highest (Liu & Yoo, 2014). This study stared to answer the question, ‘is functional information essential in the ads of functional clothing?’ and ‘is it successful?’ The aim of this study, therefore, was to examine the effects of functional information in the advertisements of functional climbing wear. The advertising effectiveness was measured by ‘communicability’, ‘reliability’,‘favorability’ of the advertisement and ‘awareness and reliability of product’, and ‘purchasing related influence’. For the stimulus,10 different types of advertisements were prepared by combining of the following factors: functional information (whether or not to include), appeal type (rational/emotional), and model type (celebrity/non-celebrity/no-human). For the survey, 388 adults in their 20-50’s were participated. The results showed that regardless ofappeal type or model type, functional information enhanced ‘communicability’, ‘reliability’, ‘favorability’ of the advertisement and ‘awareness and reliability of product’, and ‘purchasing related influence’. It implied the importance andnecessity of functional information in the functional climbing wear advertisement.When other variables were controlled, emotional appeal with human models,especially celebrity model, enhanced the advertising effects. Meanwhile, advertisement with rationalappeal and functional information resulted in better ‘favorability’ of ads even without celebritymodels.The finding from this study could be useful information for the functional clothing company to planstrategies for effective advertisement of their products.
스포츠센터 실무 경영자의 대응가치 리더십이 직원 신뢰 및 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 스포츠센터 실무 경영자의 대응가치 리더십이 직원 신뢰 및 직무 스트레스에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구참여자는 스포츠센터에 근무하는 직원 171명으로 구성하였다. 본 연구참여자는 자신이 근무하는 스포츠센터의 실무 경영자에 대한 자신이 지각하는 대응가치 리더십 검사지와 직원 신뢰 및 직무 스트레스 검사지를 작성하였다. 수집된 자료는 구조방정식 모형을 통해 분석되었으며, 본 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스포츠센터 실무 경영자의 창의적 연구 역할, 분석적 관리 역할, 정신적 지주 역할은 직원의 신뢰 수준과 정적 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 절대적 지시 역할은 직원 신뢰에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 스포츠센터 실무경영자의 창의적 연구 역할, 분석적 관리 역할, 정신적 지주 역할은 직원의 직무 스트레스와 부적 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 절대적 지시 역할과 중재적 대변 역할은 직원의 직무 스트레스에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 스포츠센터 실무경영자에 대한 신뢰는 직원의 직무 스트레스에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of competing values leadership on employees trust and job stress of employees. The participants were composed of 171employees of sports centre. The participants completed competing values leadership scale, employee trust inventory, and job stress inventory. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 18.0 version and AMOS 21.0 version. This results were as followings. Firstly, innovative researcher role, analytic manager role and mentor role of hands-on executive in sports centre had positive significant effect on employee trust, whereas authoritative director role of hands-on executive had negative significant effect on employee trust. Secondly, innovative researcher role, analytic manager role and mentor role of hands-on executive in sports centre had negative significant effect on employee stress, whereas authoritative director role and mediating broker role of hands-on executive in sports centre had positive significant effect on employee stress. Thirdly, employee trust had no significant effect on employee stress of sports centre.
스포츠심리학 : 감정적,인지적 심리요인과 재활집착도가 스포츠 상해 회복에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to analyze psychological factors changes during recovery and how psychological factors influence the physical recovery of injured athletes. The subjects comprised 21 injured athletes of middle school with moderately serious or serious injuries. The psychological variables were mood state, subjective estimation of injury, adherence and were accessed continuously from beginning of treatment to its completion. This result indicated that as subjects recovered from their injuries, they gradually adopted the ICEBERG profile, which is characteristic of good performance. There was statistically significant in depression, anger, vigor, subjective estimation of injury and adherence by recovery time. Mood state(vigor) and adherence was inversely related to the time required for physical recovery. Mood state(tension, fatigue) and subjective estimation of injury seriousness was positively related to the time required for physical recovery. The results of this study suggested that psychological factors regarding coping with injures is significantly related to the achievement of an optimum recovery. Limitations of this study and future implications were discussed.
