The goal of educational facility lighting is to provide in a visual environment for both student and instructor that is supportive of the learning processes. Lighting must also be visually comfortable and be responsive to the psychological and emotional needs of learners. This paper presents study on actual illumination environment of college in order to figure out illumination problems. Furthermore, it attempts to suggest an optimum design of Lecture room illumination through computer simulation. We try to attain models of optimum lighting design Lecture room illumination under the illumination plan which is based on illumination maintenance and uniformity ratio that K.S. illumination standard sets.

This paper describes the luminous plan of driving range for optimal lighting design. The goal of driving range lighting facilities is to provide an appropriate luminous environment by controlling the brightness of an object and its background so the object will appear clear and sharp to the players. Therefore, this study estimate lighting design plan by location of poles and aming for computer simulation.

This paper presents the simulations on the lighting design and actual measurement analysis for recreational sports facility. Typical multidirectional aerial sports include jokcu and basketball. For aerial sports, the players and spectators view the playing object from multiple positions, normally looking downward or horizontally, but occasionally upward. These sports require well distributed horizontal illumination and uniformity according to aiming. Therefore, this paper estimates horizontal illuminance and uniformity ratio by actual measurement of sports lighting at recreational game court in Cheju National University and evaluation of sports lighting conditions for optimal design by computer simulation.

This paper describes the modeling of the college exterior lighting through the research on the actual conditions of the main gate and the area of round about. To achive this lighting design, we used three kinds of packages; CAD for drawing, 3D-MAX for 3D graphics and Lumen Designer for illumination analysis and design. As metal halide lamps are more efficient and provide better colour rendering. High-pressure sodium lamps have high efficient and long life, we used these two kinds of lamps for aesthetic lighting design in the simulation. Thus, we showed the suitable design of the main gate, dolharubang sculpture, roadways and walkways, garden and adjacent area by lighting simulations.

The possible risks of ELF electromagnetic fields on electric power facilities for the human body, is a growing concern for the society. In recent years, we have had many civil application about electromagnetic fields according to increasing of construction of electric power facilities. This paper describes human body effect by regulation management and the guidelines of human body protection of electromagnetic field. We try to evaluate the effect of electromagnetic fields by actual measurement at electric power facilities in Jeju.

When fixed-lighting principles and techniques are properly applied, the visibility provided on these public ways can provide economic and social benefits to the public. Fixed lighting of public ways for both vehicles and pedestrians can create a nighttime environment in which people can see comfortably and can quickly and accurately identify objects on the roadway being travelled. Roadway lighting can improve traffic safety, achieve efficient traffic movement and promote the general use of the facility during darkness. This paper describes estimation of horizontal illuminance by actual measurement at main streets in Jejusi. We try to evaluate Jejusi Roadway Lighting Conditions for modeling by computer simulation.

Digital control of half-wave rectified brushless synchronous motor is one of the attractive and interesting research subjects in the field of industrial robot. A direct-drive(D-D) system is being developed to control the forces. the position of high speed and the constant speed in high accuracy. The PI control without any additional control process has very poor response and inaccuracy of position and speed. It is one of the important problems to reduce the fluctuation of position and speed. In order to improve those problem, we proposed a repetiteve control with the position memory type and the constant speed by learning process. It provides us the good response of system and the improvement of the position and the speed accuracy.

This study aims to review the problems of deteriorated or declined apartment estates and to suggest the ways of their improvement. It is divided into four parts. The first part reviews the need of the improvement methods to deal with these apartment estates. The second part analyzes the conditions of these apartment estates and the experiences of the improvements with reference to the site, public facilities, buildings and dwelling units. The last part considers the findings from the analysis and put forward some suggestions for future development.
