      • 전남 무안군 농촌지역에서의 나비개체군 변동에 관한 연구

현태현,최세웅 7개 국립대학교 환경연구 논문집 공동발행 위원회 2003 공업기술연구 Vol.3 No.-

To examine the dynamics of butterfly population in a rural area of Muan-gun, where is characterized by agricultural land mixed with low-hill mountains, we monitored butterflies from 2001 to 2003 based on a transect method. Forty-two butterfly species were recorded and the most dominant species during the surveyed years was pieris rapae. Total numbers of recorded butterflies were different ranging from 29(year 2003) to 39(year 2001). Monthly changes of indices of heterogeneity and evenness showed more or less straight graph, which was a different pattern from that of Mt. Yudal, Mokpo. Some butterfly species were inconsistently observed during the years: 3 species in 2002 were not listed in 2001's record, 12 species in 2001 were not listed in 2002's record.

      • 한국산 Abraxini족(Lepidoptera, Geometridae, Ennominae)의 분류학적 정리

Sei-Woong CHOI 한국응용곤충학회 1998 INSECTA KOREANA Vol.15 No.-

이번 연구는 한국산 Abraxini족에 속하는 5속 12종의 분류학적 연구이다. 이들 속 및 종은 Abraxas Leach의 7종(grossulariata Linnaeus, sylvata Scopoli, niphonibia Wehrli, fulvobasalis Warren, latifasciata Warren, miranda Butler, and pseudomiranda sp. nov.), Ligdia Guenee의 1종(japonaria Leech), Lomaspilis Guenee의 1종(marginata Linnaeus), Peratophyga Warren의 1종(hyalinata Kollar)및 Heterostegane Hampson의 2종 (hyriaria Warren and cararia Hubner)이다. The following 12 species, belonging to five genera, of the tribe Abraxini in south Korea are reviewed: seven Abraxas Leach (grossulariata Linnaeus, sylvata Scopoli, niphonibia Wehrli, fulvobasalis Warren, latifasciata Warren, miranda Bulter, and pseudomiranda sp. nov.); one Ligdia Guen e (japonaria leech); one Lomaspilis Guen e (marginata Linnaeus); one Peratophyga Warren (hyalinata Kollar); and two Heterostegane Hampson (hyriaria Warren and cararia H bner). The cladistic analysis of the Abraxini is tried with 11 taxa using 29 morphological characters. The cladogram based on the successive weighting approach is selected to be a best one. The monophyly of Abraxini and that of four genera, Abraxas, Ligdia, Lomaspilis, and Peratophyga, are discussed. The generic relationships of the Abraxini are as follows: (Eutoea (Heterostegane hyriaria (Ligdia (Lomaspilis, Heterostegane cararia)))), (Peratophyga, Abraxas). The genus Heterostegane is a polyphyletic taxon. The distribution maps of the seven species of Abraxas in south Korea are provided.

New Records of Five Ennomine Moths (Lepidoptera: Geometridae; Ennominae) from Korea

Choi, Sei-Woong,Kim, Sung-Soo The Korean Society of Systematic Zoology 2015 Animal Systematics, Evolution and Diversity Vol.31 No.2

The subfamily Ennominae is one of the most species-rich taxa of Geometridae that include more than 9,700 species worldwide and over 280 species in South Korea. Herein, we present the first report of five species of Ennominae. Abraxas flavisinuata can be characterized by the white wings, a thick black postmedial line that is medially and dorsally broken with an orange band, large rounded black discal dots on the forewing, and a black dotted postmedial line on the hindwing. Lomographa claripennis can be characterized by the whitish wings, the black undulating postmedial line as well as the minute blackish discal dot on the forewing, and the black undulating postmedial line with a minute black discal dot on the hindwing. Arichanna tetrica can be characterized by the grayish forewings, thick black transverse ante- and postmedial lines, a large blackish discal dot, whitish apical streak on the forewing, and scattered black dots on the whitish hindwing. Review of the description pattern of newly recorded insect species from 1999 to 2009 in Korea

Choi, Sei-Woong,Na, Sang-Deok The Korean Society for Integrative Biology 2010 Animal cells and systems Vol.14 No.3

The characteristics of insect communities in specific localities reflect climatic and environmental status and change. We investigated the description pattern of new insect species by reviewing announcements of new or newly recorded insects in Korea published in five systematic journals between 1999 and 2009: Entomological Research (1999-2009), Insect Koreana (1999-2003), Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology (1999-2009), Korean Journal of Applied Entomology (1999-2009), and Korean Journal of Systematic Zoology (1999-2009). A total of 757 new species were reported in 299 research papers. More than 85% of the newly described or reported species belonged to four orders: Coleoptera (225 species), Lepidoptera (202 species), Hymenoptera (141 species), and Diptera (82 species). The number of new species fluctuated from year to year, and a few major authors described most species. The graph of the cumulative number of species described in Korea was not asymptotic. We also examined the decadal trends in the proportion of species according to their biogeographical origin. The numbers of northern (Palearctic and Nearctic) and southern (Oriental) species recorded in Korea between 1999 and 2009 were increasing mainly due to the recent taxonomic research environment. It is also possible that recent climatic change induces new migrants toKorea from more southern parts of Oriental region, but more information is needed to confirm this hypothesis.
