Silicone prosthesis is well known as relatively acceptable material since Cronin had introduced at 1963. But it can't be a perfect material due to complications such as capsular contracture, prosthesis rupture. We experienced wto cases of prosthesis rupture with siliconoma of breast and the one was identified with history of closed capsulotomy and the other without trauma history. With review of the reported cases, we should consider followings 1. Silicone gel prosthesis can be ruptured with closed capsulotomy or without trauma history. 2. Ruptured prosthesis and silicone gel must be removed for prevention of progressive complications as soon as possible prosthesis rupture is noted.

Maxillary enlargement is a rare complication of secondary hyperparathyroidism (SHPT). A 35-year-old Korean man undergoing chronic hemodialysis presented with a painless enlargement involving the maxilla and mandible. Plain radiography and CT scan showed bony expansion at the maxilla and mandible with multiple radiolucency. Serum intact parathyroid hormone (iPTH) was >600 pg/mL. Tc- 99m sestamibi (MIBI) parathyroid scan and neck sonogram were compatible with SHPT. He underwent limited parathyroidectomy and commenced a course of paricalcitol. Fifteen months after surgery, maxillary enlargement and bony resorptions involving both hands markedly improved. Thirty-six months after the surgery, the serum iPTH level was 109.3 pg/mL. This is the first report in Korea documenting a patient with maxillary enlargement in SHPT who was successfully treated with limited parathyroidectomy and paricalcitol.

In this paper, We has been studied the lifetime degradation of LED lighting system compared to MH lighting. Especially the effect of temperature level on the lifetime degradation has been investigated. The results show that temperature plays a role in the lifetime degradation and slope of degradation line represent as temperature level differently. However, It is possible to estimate the lifetime of LED lighting system using equation induced the slope of degradation line.
Intake Flow Observation with Gaseous LPG Injection in a Si Engine

In order to lower emissions and enhance vehicle performance such as cold start and acceleration[1], LPG MPI (multi point injection) technology in SI engines has been developed and applied recently compared to the conventional mixer type LPG supply system. A gaseous LPG injection system has an edge over the liquefied injection system in terms of durability and cost reduction. However, intake flow with fuel injection needs to be further investigated to understand the volumetric efficiency of the gaseous system, which has been expected to be inferior to that of liquefied injection system. The observation of intake flow with fuel injection and measurements of volumetric efficiency were carried out to investigate the performance of gaseous LPG injection system in this work. Also, an analysis of flow motion was performed to better understand the both injection systems. This work concludes that a gaseous LPG injection system indicates the comparable volumetric efficiency to the liquefied injection system, and as for the next generation fuel supply system a gaseous LPG MPI system is very competitive.
정상 폐활량을 보이는 성인 환자에서 FEF25~75%를 통한 기관지확장제 반응의 예견

Background: When patients with chronic respiratory symptoms have a normal spirometry result, it is not always easy to consider bronchial asthma as the preferential diagnosis. Forced expiratory flow between 25% and 75% of vital capacity (FEF25~75%) is known as a useful diagnostic value of small airway diseases. However, it is not commonly used, because of its high individual variability. We evaluated the pattern of bronchodilator responsiveness (BDR) and the correlation between FEF25~75% and BDR in patients with suspicious asthma and normal spirometry. Methods: Among patients with suspicious bronchial asthma, 440 adult patients with a normal spirometry result (forced expiratory volume in one second [FEV1]/forced vital capacity [FVC] ≥70% & FEV1% predicted ≥80%) were enrolled. We divided this group into a positive BDR group (n=43) and negative BDR group (n=397), based on the result of BDR. A comparison was carried out of spirometric parameters with % change of FEV1 after bronchodilator (ΔFEV1%). Results: Among the 440 patients with normal spirometry, FEF25~75%% predicted were negatively correlated with ΔFEV1% (r=?0.22, p<0.01), and BDR was positive in 43 patients (9.78%). The means of FEF25~75%% predicted were 64.0±14.5% in the BDR (+) group and 72.9±20.8% in the BDR (?) group (p<0.01). The negative correlation between FEF25~75%% predicted and ΔFEV1% was stronger in the BDR (+) group (r=?0.38, p=0.01) than in the BDR (?) group (r=?0.17, p<0.01). In the ROC curve analysis, FEF25~75% at 75% of predicted value had 88.3% sensitivity and 40.3% specificity for detecting a positive BDR. Conclusion: BDR (+) was not rare in patients with suspicious asthma and normal spirometry. In these patients, FEF25~75%% predicted was well correlated with BDR.
