        This paper presents a novel version of an active voltage clamped ZVS-PWM high frequency inverter using IGBTS for electromagnetic induction eddy current-based rolling drum heating in new generation copy and printing machines in consumer business use The operating principle of this inverter circuit and unique features are described herein Its constant frequency duty cycle (asymmetrical PWM) controlled voltage source quasi-resonant soft switching high frequency inverter employing IGBTS is proposed, which is capable of achieving stable and efficient zero voltage soft switching commutation over a widely specified power regulation range from full power to low power The operating performances in a steady state of this inverter is discussed and evaluated on basis of simulation and experimental results as an induction heated roller in new generation copy machine.<br/>

      • Utility-Interactive Modulated Sinewave Inverter with a High Frequency Flyback Transformer Link for Small-Scale Solar Photovoltaic Generator

        This paper presents a novel prototype of the utility-interactive voltage source type sinewave pulse modulated power inverter using a high-frequency flyback transformer link The proposed power con­ditioner circuit for the solar photovoltaic generation and small scale fuel cell has an isolation function due to the safety of the power processing sys­tem, which is more cost effective and acceptable for the small-scale dis­tributed renewal energy conditioning and processing systems. The discon­tinuous current mode(DCM) of this power processing conversion circuit is applied to implement a simple circuit topology and pulse modulated con­trol scheme. Its operation principle is described on the basis of simulation evaluations and theoretical considerations. The simulation results obtained herein prove that the proposed inverter outputs with sinusoidal waveforms and unity power factor currents are synchronized to the main voltage in utility power source grid. In this paper, the soft switching topology of high-frequency linked sinewave pulse modulation inverter is proposed and dis­cussed.<br/> Index Terms -High frequency link, Flyback transformer link, Sinewave modulated inverter, Utility interactive power processing, Solar photovoltaic power conditioner, Renewal conversion energy and sustainable energy, Soft-switching topology.<br/>

      • Utility Interactive Solar Power Conditioner with Zero Voltage Soft Switching High frequency Sinewave Modulated Inverter Link

        The utility interactive sinewave modulated inverter for the solar photovoltaic (PV) power conversion and conditioning with a new high frequency pulse modulated link is presented for domestic residential applications. As compared with the conventional full-bridge hard switching PWM inverter with a high frequency AC link, the simplest single-ended quasi-resonant soft switching sinewave modulated inverter with a duty cycle pulse control is implemented, resulting in size and weight reduction and low-cost. This paper presents a prototype circuit of the single-ended zero voltage soft switching sinewave inverter for solar power conditioner and its operating principle. In addition, this paper proposes a control system to deliver high quality output current. Major design of each component and the power loss analysis under actual power processing is also discussed from an experimental point of view. A newly developed interactive sinewave power processor which has 92.5% efficiency at 4kW output is demonstrated.         This paper presents a high-frequency ZVS-PWM boost chopper-fed DC-DC converter with a single active auxiliary edge-resonant snubber which is used for power conditioner such as solar photovoltaic generation and fuel cell generation The experimental results of boost chopper fed ZVS-PWM DC-DC converter are evaluated in addition to Its switching voltage and current waveforms, and the switching V-I trajectory of the power devices are discussed and compared with the conventional hard switching DC-DC converter treated here The temperature performance of IGBT module, efficiency, and EMI noise characteristics of this ZVS-PWM DC-DC converter using IGBTs are measured and evaluated from an experimental point of view

        This paper presents a novel topological prototype of voltage source series quasi-resonant zero current soft-switching pulse frequency modulated dc-dc power converter circuit using IGBTs which incorporates a high-frequency flyback transformer link. Its steady-state operating princi­ple is described on the basis of simulation analysis, along with the open loop controlled power regulation characteristics of the multi-functional coupled inductors linked dc-dc power converter operating under a principle of zero current soft switching commutation.<br/>
