Chemical Constituents from Solenostemma argel and their Cholinesterase Inhibitory Activity

Alzheimer’s disease is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder with no curative treatment. The commercially available drugs, which target acetylcholinesterase, are not satisfactory. The aim of this study was to investigate the cholinesterase inhibitory activity of Solenostemma argel aerial part. Eight compounds were isolated and identified by NMR: kaempferol-3-O-glucopyranoside (1), kaempferol (2), kaempferol-3-glu- copyranosyl(1→6)rhamnopyranose (3) p-hydroxybenzoic acid (4), dehydrovomifoliol (5), 14,15-dihydroxy-pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione (6), 14,15-dihydroxy-pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione-15β-D-glucopyranoside (7) and solargin I (8). Two of them (compounds 2 and 3) could inhibit over 50 % of butyrylcholinesterase activity at 100 µM. Compound (2) displayed the highest inhibitory effect against acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) with a slight selectivity towards the latter. Molecular docking studies supported the in vitro results and revealed that (2) had made several hydrogen and π-π stacking interactions which could explain the compound potency to inhibit AChE and BChE.

This paper reviews the traditional practice of Klila production, its microbiological, physicochemical and nutritional properties and aims to raise awareness of Klila. The main objective of this review is to highlight the typicality of Klila and to propose a form of labelling that could help promote it. The Klila is a traditional extra hard cheese from southern Algeria. Nomadic tribes produce it from goat, sheep, or cow milk. Curdled milk is obtained by spontaneous fermentation. It is churned to recover the butter. The co-product, a sour, fat-free milk: Lben, undergoes a moderate heat treatment to get a fresh cheese which, after a dehydration process, gives the Klila. The chemical composition of this product varies regarding fat content. It has a very low water content (less than 10%) and comes in very hard pieces of varying size and irregular shape. The dry matter, for instance, can vary from 33 to 95%. Water availability (Aw) varies from 0.32 to 0.467. Fat rate can vary a lot from region to region from 9.5 to 29.3 g/100 g of cheese. The protein rate also varies a lot: between 29.9 and 71.4 g/100 g of cheese. The lactose concentration can range within 1.2 to 2.4 g/100 mL. The microbiological quality of Klila depends mainly on the quality of the raw milk used and all hygienic factors that surround milk production. The physicochemical conditions that prevail inside Klila are not favourable for the microbial growth. The Klila is an example of adaptation of the nomads’ lifestyle in the Algerian Sahara who use it as a culinary adjunct for nutritional and therapeutic purposes. The Klila can be grinded to be put as ingredient in “Zrizri” dessert with dates and clarified butter (smen). Some people prefer to consume fresh Klila with dates and green tea.

연구자들은 한국사람 시신 33쪽(남자 19, 여자 14)의 위턱을 대상으로 CT HiSpeed Advantage 전산화 단층촬영 장치를 이용하여 위턱 치아와 위턱뼈동굴의 DentaScan 프로그램을 이용한 재구성 영상을 얻고 단면영상은 V-worksTM3.0 프로그램으로 재구성하여 위턱뼈와 위턱뼈동굴의 3차원 영상을 만들어 위턱뼈동굴의 앞, 뒤 경계 및 형태계측을 시행하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 위턱뼈동굴을 가쪽에서 관찰한 전체적언 형태와 위턱뼈동굴 아래 벽의 모양에 따라 6가지로 분류한 결과, 위턱뼈동굴의 아래 벽이 편평한 유형(18예,54.5%)과 아래 벽이 둥근 유형(7예, 21.2%)이 가장 많았다. 위턱뼈동굴의 앞 경계는 위턱 첫째 작은 어금니 부위에 위치한 경우가 가장 많았고(l4예, 58.4%), 다fms 경우는 송곳니 (8예, 33.3%)와 둘째 작은 어금니(2예, 8.3%)부위에 위치하였다. 위턱뼈동굴의 뒤 경계는 대부분 사랑니 부위와 사랑니 뒤쪽까지 뻗어 있었고 (3l예, 93.9%), 둘째 큰 어금니 부위에 위치하는 경우도 있었다. (2예, 6.1%). 3차원으로 재구성된 영상에서 위턱뼈동굴의 계측을 시행한 결과, 위턱뼈동굴의 최대앞뒤길이는 39.3mm(남자: 40.7mm, 여자: 37.4mm), 최대높이는 37.1mm(남자: 39.4mm, 여자: 34.0mm)였고, 위턱뼈동굴의 최대너비는 32.6mm(남자: 35.3mm, 여자: 28.9mm)로 모든 계측치는 남자가 여자보다 더 큰 경향 이었다. 위턱뼈동굴의 부피는 평균 15.1ml로서 남자는 l8.0ml, 여자는 11.1ml로 남자가 더 컸다.

A brand concept store is a newly emerging area that expresses the unique sensibility and philosophy of a brand in various ways with the aim of conveying positive brand image and information to consumers. The purpose of this class is to plan a mid-small sized brand store based on the analyzed requirements in conducting interior design works. To this end, the theory required for detailed review and planning of various spaces can be introduced and practical skills can be learned through the course.

AahG50, the toxic fraction of Androctonus australishector venom, was studied on human Kv3.1 channelsactivation, stably expressed in Xenopus oocytes using the twoelectrodevoltage clamp technique. AahG50 reduced Kv3.1currents in a reversible concentration-dependent manner,withan IC50 value and a Hill coefficient of 40.4 ± 0.2 lg/ml and1.3 ± 0.05, respectively. AahG50 inhibited IKv3.1 withoutmodifying the current activation kinetics. The AahG50-induced inhibition of Kv3.1 channels was voltage-dependent,with a gradual increase at lower concentrations and over thevoltage range of channels opening. However, at higher concentrations,the inhibition exhibited voltage dependence onlyin the first range of channels opening from -20 to ?10 mV,but demonstrates a low degree of voltage-dependence whenchannels are fully activated. In the literature, toxins havepreviously been isolated from AahG50, KAaH1 and KAaH2and were reported not to have any effect on IKv3.1. Thepresent article’s findings suggest that AahG50 may contain apeptidic component active on Kv3.1 channels, which inhibitsIKv3.1 in a selective manner.
