        정부기관 이미지평판의 고객만족과의 관계에 대한 연구최승범·박흥식·Rosa Chan

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of images and reputation of public institutions on the customer's satisfaction and to suggest image and reputation management strategies for police, health centers and post offices. Personality index were used for image measures. Reputation measures were based on personality index and developed by focused group interview. Research findings are as follows. First, personal characteristics of customers, their images and perceived reputation on public institutions are very important factor to influence their satisfaction with the institutions. Second, trust, fairness, bureaucratic authority, and generation sense are major components of image that influence customer's satisfaction. Third, each public institution has to develop its own strategies to satisfy customers, because each has different image and reputation. 본 연구는 기업들이 쓰는 이미지와 평판전략이 행정분야에서 고객만족에 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 분석하고 실제로 조사대상인 경찰서, 보건소 및 우체국의 이미지 및 평판 관리전략을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이미지 측정도구는 인간적 특성(personality) 도구를 이용하였으며, 평판측정 도구는 인간적 특성과 FOCUS 그룹 집중인터뷰를 통하여 개발하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 우선, 개인의 특성, 기관의 이미지와 평판은 고객만족에 모두 영향을 미치는 중요한 변수이다. 둘째, 현재 및 미래에 대한 만족에 있어 중요한 기관 이미지는 신뢰감, 공정성, 관료적 권위 및 세대감이다. 셋째, 기관별로 고객만족에 영향을 미치는 변수가 다르며, 이는 각 기관마다 맞춤형 고객만족 전략을 사용하여야 함을 의미한다. 본 연구는 행정기관에 대하여 거의 시도된 적이 없는 인격적 특징에 관한 측정도구를 사용하여 이미지와 평판연구의 지평을 넓혀줄 것으로 기대된다. 또한 혁신의 시대, 고객만족 및 고객감동의 시대에 인간적 특성의 관점에서 행정의 새로운 평가틀을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

      • Root Canal Filling Quality of a Premixed Calcium Silicate Endodontic Sealer Applied Using Gutta-percha Cone-mediated Ultrasonic Activation

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Introduction</B></P> <P>The aim of this study was to investigate the filling quality of a recently developed premixed calcium silicate–based endodontic sealer (Endoseal MTA) with a single gutta-percha (GP) cone technique compared with a resin-based sealer (AH plus) with warm vertical compaction. We also explored the effect of GP cone-mediated ultrasonic activation on the filling quality of Endoseal MTA.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>Thirty human single-rooted maxillary premolars with ribbon-shaped canals were prepared and assigned to 3 experimental groups according to filling method: EMS group was Endoseal MTA + single-cone; EMSU group was Endoseal MTA + single-cone with ultrasonic activation; and the APW group was AH plus + warm vertical compaction. Each tooth was scanned using micro–computed tomography (μ-CT), and the proportions of sections with void and the volume percentages of void were calculated. Then, the tooth was sectioned transversely, and the presence of void in the slices was scored under a stereomicroscope. The data were statistically analyzed using 1-way analysis of variance and Tukey tests to detect any significance (<I>α</I> = 0.05).</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>In the μ-CT assessment, there was no significant difference among the groups regarding the proportion of sections with void and the void volume percentage (<I>P</I> > .05). However, in the stereomicroscopic evaluation, the EMS group showed a higher number of voids and a higher void score compared with the other groups (<I>P</I> < .05).</P> <P><B>Conclusion</B></P> <P>Endoseal MTA performs best when used with GP cone-mediated ultrasonic activation. Furthermore, stereomicroscopic observation of sections of the specimens should be performed when evaluating root canal filling quality.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Endoseal MTA, a new paste-type calcium silicate sealer, was recently introduced. </LI> <LI> Ultrasonic application through a gutta-percha (GP) cone is suggested to achieve the best filling quality of the sealer. </LI> <LI> The filling quality of the sealer was assessed using 2 different methods, micro–computed tomography and observation of sectioned samples with a stereomicroscope. </LI> <LI> The filling quality of Endoseal MTA is better when used with GP cone-mediated ultrasonic activation. </LI> <LI> Microscopic observations should be included as a supportive method for evaluating the quality of root canal fills. </LI> </UL> </P>

      • Risk factors for child physical abuse and neglect among Chinese young mothers

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Although studies have reported a linkage between young pregnancy and child maltreatment risk, it is still unclear about what factors place young mothers at greater risk of maltreating their child in Chinese context. Based on the socio-ecological model, risk factors in 4 domains: family background/structure, maternal stressors, mother-child interaction, and child behavioral issue in relation to physical assault, neglect, both physical assault and neglect, and either physical assault or neglect among Chinese young mothers in Hong Kong were assessed. 392 young mothers were recruited from an integrated supportive program for young mothers. The mean age of mothers at delivery was 21.8 (SD=3.0) and 52.3% were married. Individual risk factors and cumulative risk domains related to different child maltreatment groups were examined. Our results show both overlapping and unique risk factors across the domains associated with physical assault and neglect. Further, young families exposed to higher number of risk domains show higher rates for physical assault and neglect, co-occurrence of physical assault and neglect, and either form of maltreatment. In addition, various risk domains were found to be particularly important for different forms of maltreatment: family background/structure domain was found to be an important risk domain for neglect; mother-child interaction domain for both physical assault and neglect; family background/structure and maternal stressors domains for either physical assault or neglect. Closer examination of a subgroup of adolescent mothers aged 18 and below shows that family background/structure was an important risk domain for this group.</P>

        Soybean meal substitution by dehulled lupine (Lupinus angustifolius) with enzymes in broiler diets

        Objective: Evaluate the effects of i) dehulling of lupine seed on chemical composition and apparent metabolizable energy (AME) and ii) soybean meal substitution by dehulled lupine seed in broiler diets with enzymes on productive performance, size of digestive organs and welfare-related variables. Methods: Experiment 1, chemical composition and AME were determined in whole and dehulled lupine seed. Experiment 2, two hundred eighty-eight one-day-old male Ross 308 broilers were used. The experimental diets were maize-soybean meal (MS), MS with enzymes (MSE) and maize-dehulled lupine seed with enzymes (MLE). Diets were assigned to the experimental units under a completely randomized design (eight replicates per diet). The body weight (BW) gain, feed intake, feed conversion, digestive organ weights, gait score, latency to lie down and valgus/varus angulation were evaluated. Results: The dehulling process increased protein (25.0% to 31.1%), AME (5.9 to 8.8 MJ/kg) and amino acid contents. The BW gain of broilers fed the MLE diet was similar (p>0.05) to that of those fed the MS diet, but lower than that of those fed the MSE diet. Feed intake of broilers fed the MLE diet was higher (p<0.05) than that of those fed the MS diet and similar (p>0.05) to those fed the MSE diet. Feed conversion of broilers fed the MLE diet was 8.0% and 8.7% higher (p<0.05) than that of those fed the MS and MSE diets, respectively. Broilers fed the MLE diet had the highest (p<0.05) relative proventriculus and gizzard weights, but had poor welfare-related variables. Conclusion: It is possible to substitute soybean meal by dehulled lupine seed with enzymes in broiler diets, obtaining similar BW gains in broilers fed the MLE and MS diets; however, a higher feed intake is required. Additionally, the MLE diet reduced welfare-related variables.
