Cancer Registration in the Peoples Republic of China
Wei, Kuang-Rong,Chen, Wan-Qing,Zhang, Si-Wei,Liang, Zhi-Heng,Zheng, Rong-Shou,Ou, Zhi-Xiong Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.8
The current situation of cancer registration in China was systematically reviewed. So far, cancer registration in China has been making a great progress in the following aspects: the number of cancer registries and covered population have increased dramatically; a registration network has been established and completed gradually; regulations and rules improved remarkably; more attention is being paid by every level of government; a lot of registration software has been created and financial support ensured. However, we are still facing some problems and challenges, such as no stable groups of registrars, shortage of training opportunities, poor data quality, insufficient utilization and lack of multidisciplinary mechanisms, so that the cancer registration system still needs to be enhanced and improved. Along with the development of economy, science and information technology, methods and patterns of cancer registration is changing. It is to be expected that cancer registration will be automatic, nationwide and integrated with community healthcare in the near future.
Oridonin Suppresses Proliferation of Human Ovarian Cancer Cells via Blockage of mTOR Signaling
Xia, Rong,Chen, Sun-Xiao,Qin, Qin,Chen, Yan,Zhang, Wei-Wei,Zhu, Rong-Rong,Deng, An-Mei Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2016 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.17 No.2
Oridonin, an ent-kaurane diterpenoid compound isolated from the traditional Chinese herb Rabdosia rubescens, has shown various pharmacological and physiological effects such as anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. However, the effect of oridonin on human ovarian cancer cell lines has not been determined. In this study, we demonstrated that oridonin inhibited ovarian cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion in a dose-dependent manner. Furthermore, we showed oridonin inhibited tumor growth of ovarian cancer cells (SKOV3) in vivo. We then assessed mechanisms and found that oridonin specifically abrogated the phosphorylation/activation of mTOR signaling. In summary, our results indicate that oridonin is a potential inhibitor of ovarian cancer by blocking the mTOR signaling pathway.

Flower color variegation has been observed in many plant species. However, pink flowers on the white-blooming hawthorn trees found by our group earlier have never been reported. To better understand the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in variegated hawthorn flowers, white and pink flowers at different developmental stages (S1 and S2) underwent transcriptome sequencing separately. Approximately 34.28 Gb of high-quality data were obtained and assembled into 100,013 unigenes with an average length of 706.93 bp. These unigenes were further subjected to functional annotation and biochemical pathway analysis, and DEGs of two types of hawthorn flowers at different developmental stages were studied. Based on the enrichment analysis of DEGs, eight anthocyanin-modified enzyme genes or other enzyme genes that indirectly affect anthocyanin synthesis (5AT, 3GGT , and AI, β-Glu, two Aux/IAAs, two PODs), eight structural genes (UFGT, DFR, CHI, two F3Hs, and three PALs), and three transcription factors (one MYB and two bHLHs) were also identified. We randomly selected 15 genes, and the trends in the expression levels of these genes in the organs of white and pink flowers at different developmental stages were verified by quantitative real-time PCR. Mass sequence data obtained by RNA-seq of variegated hawthorn flowers provided basic sequence information and a unique opportunity to uncover the genetic mechanisms under-lying flower color variegation.
Region Stability Analysis for Switched Nonlinear Systems with Multiple Equilibria
Rong-Wei Guo,Yuzhen Wang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2017 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.15 No.2
This paper investigates the region stability analysis for switched nonlinear systems whose subsystemshave different equilibria, which are referred to multi-equilibrium switched nonlinear systems, and proposes a numberof new results on the region stability analysis. Through investigating the dynamical behavior of the multiequilibriumswitched system, two methods are established, based on which several new results are then obtainedfor the region stability. It is shown that the main results obtained in this paper not only guarantee the region stabilityof the multi-equilibrium switched nonlinear system under arbitrary switching, but also provide several newapproaches to determine the corresponding regions of convergence. Moreover, an improved average dwell time(ADT) method is proposed for the stability of switched nonlinear systems whose subsystems do not share a commonLyapunov function. Finally, an illustrative example with numerical simulation is studied by using the obtainedresults. The study of example shows that our results work very well in analyzing the region stability of somemulti-equilibrium switched nonlinear systems.
Auto-Coding of Cancer Registry Data in China
Wei, Kuang Rong,Liu, Sheng Chao,Wei, Dongling,Liang, Zhiheng,Chen, Wanqing Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2016 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.17 No.6
The significance, difficulty and strategy of coding cancer data according to international coding standards are discussed, and the concept, methods and realization of cancer data automatic coding in cancer registries in China are introduced in the paper. Coding cancer data automatically with software could not only reduce the time, manpower and workload, while improving the accuracy and efficiency of cancer data coding, but also enhance the validity of cancer registration and the value of cancer registry data, which is of great significance.
Data Transmission Scheme of VANET Based on CH Selection and Switch between Clusters
Wei Rong,Shen Xibing,Yang Yi 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.8
A data transmission scheme based on cluster is proposed for data transmission of VANETs. Firstly, the selection scheme of cluster head CH is designed. The optimal CH is selected by calculating the utility function of CCHs, which combines node degree (NOD), available resource and mobile information of CHs and CMs, including the characteristic requirements of different user applications. According to the simulation results, the proposed scheme’s performance can be improved in terms of throughput, data transmission delay, successful transmission rate and overhead.
