The Role of Digital Zakat Towards Economic Development at Slums in Indonesia

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to reveal that digital Zakat has a role in economic development. Even when disasters hit densely populated areas in big cities, Zakat is distributed quickly and precisely. Research design, data, and methodology: This study uses literature studies with an approach to Islamic economics and sociology of society. The authenticity of this research is about the potential role of digital Zakat which can create sustainable economic development in slums. Result: The results of the study concluded that economic development in slums could be carried out if it collaborated with Zakat institutions which were carried out in several stages. The existence of sustainable solidarity is a serious threat in the effort to achieve development goals and this is very regrettable by almost everyone because it can increase economic inequality. Conclusion: Strategy development is obtained from empirical evidence, the construction of slums that have been carried out by other countries in various parts of the world who also have the same problem. Although statistically not analyzed the relationship between the potential for Zakat and the level of welfare of densely populated settlements, theoretically digital Zakat can be one of the pillars to achieve community welfare through the distribution of Zakat.

Purpose: The research aims to investigate the development of market distribution through digital marketing transformation trends with the support of universities. This development strategy is to maximize sales turnover of limited liability companies' typical traditional beverage products. Research design, data, and methodology: The research design uses descriptive qualitative methods. Data were obtained by participatory observation, in-depth interviews, FGDs, and documentation. Results: The result shows that the partner's traditional product market distribution strategy has been carried out by adopting science and technology and expertise possessed by partner universities. Universities that are Partners have benefited from the implementation of the Independent Campus program. Conclusions: The conclusion from the findings is that business actors must collaborate with universities through the Kedaireka Matchmaking Fund Program. The collaboration will create the right strategy development for the business. The government needs to provide more access to finance in the future. The hope is that the traditional beverage industry and higher education can realize the ease of synergy contributing to national development and the vision of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture's independent campus.

Purpose: This study examines the opportunities and challenges of sharia-based regional development bank spin-offs in supporting economic growth and income distribution through a board of commissioner’s approach. Research design, data, and methodology: The research design is qualitative research with the main data collection technique through in-depth interviews. Results: The results of the study show that Bank Nagari can support the performance of the West Sumatra government, especially in regional finance. The positive influence is shown in the benefit aspect of 31% and the opportunity of 28% which is the priority value. The challenges that must be faced are technology services, improving the quality of human resources, socialization, and application of local wisdom which is by the philosophical values of the people of West Sumatra Adat Basandi Syara’ Syara’ Basandi Kitabullah. Conclusions: It can be concluded that the local government of West Sumatra has an essential contribution to the conversion of Bank Nagari to RDB Syariah as a whole. The expected implication is that the local government and shareholders cooperate well in supporting the transformation to realize West Sumatra Mandani through the populist economy of the people of West Sumatra.
