Source imaging methodology is used to provide a three-dimensional two-pion source function for mid-rapidity pion pairs with pT<70 MeV/c in central (0-7%) Pb + Pb collisions at sNN=17.3 GeV. Prominent non-Gaussian tails are observed in the pion pair transverse momentum (outward) and in the beam (longitudinal) directions. Model calculations reproduce them with the assumption of Bjorken longitudinal boost invariance and transverse flow blast-wave dynamics; they also yield a proper time for breakup and emission duration for the pion source.
Human Dignity and the Ethics of Human Enhancement
Dónal P. O’MATHÚNA 이화여자대학교 이화인문과학원 2013 탈경계인문학 Vol.6 No.1
Human dignity supports the equal value of all humans and their ethical treatment. While human rights conventions use the term frequently, it is rarely defined. The term dignity is used differently, and two dimensions are described in detail. Inherent dignity is an intrinsic dimension held by all humans and is the basis of equal rights for all humans. Circumstantial dignity is another dimension, but is variable and changeable. This is in mind when circumstances are said to enhance or diminish someone’s dignity. The recent critique of dignity arises in part because of conflation of these two dimensions. Others reject dignity because of its religious connections. Such criticisms will be responded to in defense of dignity. Posthuman and transhuman enhancement also raise questions about the value of dignity because of its roots in humanism. Nick Bostrom defends posthuman dignity while critiquing Leon Kass’s bioconservative position. Bostrom’s argument will be critiqued because of his failure to distinguish between inherent and circumstantial dignity, and his misunderstanding of Kass’s claims. In contrast to the transhumanist enhancement project, inherent dignity points to the givenness and limitations of human nature. This indicates the importance of developing gratitude for human nature and avoiding an endless pursuit of perfection. Such an approach is not antagonistic to medicine and science. Instead, it places priority on improving the circumstantial dignity of all human beings, especially those who live without their basic needs being met. Their inherent dignity places a moral obligation on those with resources to help them. Medicine and science should focus on relieving their needs, not enhancing those who already have most needs met. Justice for all humans based on their inherent dignity is proposed as a significant argument against the ethics of transhuman enhancement.

Functional operator is derived for the propagation factor and characteristic impedance in hydraulic pipe lines when the effects of varying velocity profile and heat transfer are included. The results of theoretical analysis are compared with experimental results obtained from response characteristics. These results are particularly used to determine the impulse and step responses of a line. The impulse and step responses of an infinitely long uniform rigid line are computed in a viscous liquid. The waveform is measured due to propagation factor by means of oscilloscope whenever ball valve constructed in a pipe downstream was closed and opened repeatedly.
α - 셀룰로오즈의 열분해에 관한 연구 : 산촉매 NaCl 의 영향 Effect of Acid Catalsts NaCl
나상도,황준호,최경선,설수덕,손진언 한국고무학회 1996 엘라스토머 및 콤포지트 Vol.31 No.2
The Thermal decomposition of the α-Cellulose and NaCl was studied using a thermal analysis technique in the steam of nitrogen gas with 30㎖/min at various heating ranges from 4 to 20℃/min. The Derivative and Integral method used to be obtained values of activation energy of decomposition reaction. 1. The values of activation energy evaluated by Derivative and Intergral method were consistent with each other very well. 2. The maximum value of heat of decomposition evalated by DSC method was α-Cellulose/NaCl=90/10. 3. The thermogravimetric trace curve agreed with the theoretical equation.
돼지에 있어서 品種,産次 및 分娩季節이 産仔數에 미치는 效果
申源執,申源執,申源執 전북대학교 농업과학기술연구소 1983 農大論文集 Vol.14 No.-
Effects of breed, parity and season of farrowing on litter size were estimated on the basis of data obtained from 372 litters(3,545 pigs) of Landarce, Berkshire, Duroc, Yorkshire and raised at the Kimjae Vreeding station over 8 year period from the spring of 1973 to the winter of 1980. Results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The least square means over all litters studied were 8.13± 0.16 pigs for the litter size alive and 9.09±0.20pigs for the total litter size. 2. The effects of breed showed statistical significance at the 1% level for the both of the traits studied. For both of the traits, Landrace, Duroc and Yorkshire tended to be lager than Perkshire and Hampshire. 3. The effects of parity also showed significant differences at 1% level. The litter size was the smallest for the lst parity and the largest for the 4th parity and over. 4. The effects of farrowing season were not statistically significant for the both of the traits studied. The litter size tended to be lager in those farrowed in the spring and fall than the summer and winter.
