Light enhancement of GaN based light emitting diodes (LEDs) have been investigated by texturing the top p-GaN surface. Nano-textured LEDs have been fabricated using self-assembled Ni nano mask during dry etching process. Experimental results were further compared with simulation data. Three types of LEDs were fabricated: Conventional (planar LED), Surface nano-porous (porous LED) and Surface nano-cluster (cluster LED). Compared to planar LED there were about 100% and 54% enhancement of light output power for porous and cluster LED respectively at an injection current of 20 mA. Moreover, simulation result showed consistency with experimental result. The increased probability of light scattering at the nano-textured GaN-air interface is the major reason for increasing the light extraction efficiency.

Home range and habitat use of reintroduced Javan Deer in Panaitan Island, Ujung Kulon National Park

The Javan deer which inhabit Panaitan Island (± 175 ㎢) were reintroduced from Peucang Island (± 4.5 ㎢) during 1978-1982 (3 males: 13 females). The information of home range and habitat use of these animals were needed for wildlife habitat management especially in the small island habitat. We measured the home range size and habitat use of Javan deer in Peucang Island and Panaitan Island and compared them. The home range size was measured using Minimum Convex Polygon and then the polygon of home ranges were used to measure the habitat use. The results showed that in general the home range size in all age class of Javan deer between both islands did not differ significantly, only subadult males in Peucang Island which have a larger home range size than subadult males in Panaitan Island. Javan deer in Panaitan Island have found suitable conditions.

The purpose of the study is to analyze factors that affect to purchasing behavior for Hoengseong Livestock Cooperative Beef (HLCB). The study focuses on participants for Hoengseong Korean Cattle Festival. Data are collected October 15 and 17, 2010 at the festival site. 383 questionnaires are collected and used for analyses using SPSS 12. Used analyses are frequency analysis, contingency Table Analysis, Factor Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results of the analyses are as follows. Both consumers who have bought and have not the HLCB have faith for the HLCB. Consumers who have bought the HLCB had high satisfaction. The consumers who have bought the HLCB preferred to discount store, internet shopping mall of livestock cooperatives, festival, and special shop for the brand as shopping site for the beef. Consumers hesitate when they buy the beef because the beef price is too high. Consumers who have bought the beef during last one year are affected by ages, residence, and internal factors of the HLCB.
