Reliable Fog Computing for Industrial Internet of Things: Key Challenges and Solutions

This paper provides fundamental aspects to modeling reliable Fog-Computing for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). First, the existing models of Fog-Computing are compared. Then, the models are analyzed to know the most feasible communication type that can be implemented to achieve reliable systems. The modes of interaction are elaborated to study the pros and cons when it is deployed in Fog-Computing for IIoT. The challenges and solutions to achieve reliable Fog-Computing for IIoT also discussed in this paper. This paper also provides the performance evaluation of Fog-Computing by employing different scenarios. The results show that the implementation of task management scheme can maintain the network performance of the systems.
