Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids were enriched in the olein fraction of chia oil via dry fractionation at −30oC. Concentrations of C18:3 (linolenic acid, ω-3) and C18:2 (linoleic acid, ω-6) were 78.16 and 25.42% in the olein fraction. HPLC characterization indicated enrichment of caffeic and chlorogenic acids, quercetin, and phenolic glycosides in the olein fraction. Total antioxidant activities of chia oil and the olein and stearin fractions were 42.5, 53.8, and 34.6%, respectively. After 6 months of storage at 4oC, the concentration of ω-3 in the olein fraction decreased from 78.19 to 76.16%, with a 10% decrease in the ω-3 concentration when the olein fraction was stored at 25oC. The stearin fraction of chia oil exhibited the longest induction period, followed by chia oil and the olein fraction. Amounts of ω-3 and 6 fatty acids can be enriched in the olein fraction from 11.92 and 61.28% to 15.22 and 72.16%, respectively, with reasonable storage stability at low temperature.

Synthesis of Magnesium oxide (MgO) nanoparticles and zinc deposited magnesium oxide (Zn/MgO) nanoparticles was carried out using hydrothermal and deposition-precipitation method with the variation of 1-Propanol (organic solvent) concentration, sodium hydroxide and urea concentration. The nanoparticles were characterized by using FTIR, TGA, SEM-EDX, TEM and XRD. The photocatalytic efficiency of MgO and Zn/MgO nanoparticles was studied by degradation of 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP), which is highly acute and toxic and causes skin and eyes diseases, liver malfunction and tumor formation. Photodegradation of TNP was carried out under UV irradiation and confirmed by using HPLC and GC-MS. MgO and Zn/MgO nanoparticles that were synthesized by using urea showed higher firstorder rate constant (k) value and percentage degradation as compared to nanoparticles that were synthesized using NaOH. It was observed that the concentration of solvent has direct relation with the k value of degradation of TNP.
Buckling and postbuckling behavior of solid superelastic shape memory alloy shafts
Rahman, Muhammad Ashiqur,Qiu, Jinhao,Tani, Junji Techno-Press 2006 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.23 No.4
Observing the unique stress-strain curves of the superelastic shape memory alloy (SMA) in tension and compression, the primary intention of this study is to investigate the behavior of the shafts made of the same material, under torsional loading-unloading cycles for large angle of twist. Experiments have been performed for the superelastic SMA shafts with different unsupported lengths and angles of twist and the results are compared with those of stainless steel (SUS304) shafts under similar test conditions. As expected for the superelastic SMA, the residual strains are small enough after each cycle and consequently, the hysteresis under loading-reverse loading is much narrower than that for the SUS304. For large angle of twists, the torsional strength of the superelastic SMA increases nonlinearly and exceeds that of SUS304. Most interestingly, the slender solid superelastic SMA shafts are found to buckle when acted upon torsion for large angle of twist.

Irrespective of the systems of government, a major question is: what are the views and perceptions of the bureaucrats about politics–bureaucracy relations? Aiming to address this problem, in this article an attempt has been made to undertake an empirical study of bureaucracy in Bangladesh. The study reveals that as a post-colonial structure, government bureaucracy is an essential and integral part of the administration in Bangladesh but the bureaucracies are always in a dilemma regarding their relationship with the political leaderships. The relationship between politicians and bureaucrats is neither normatively dichotomous with political neutrality nor abundantly cohesive or responsive to the political leaderships according to the perceptions of bureaucracy. Moreover, bureaucracy in Bangladesh is suffering from a moral puzzle between political neutrality and political responsiveness even though the bureaucrats are still in a dominant position in some cases.
Convexity-Cum-Concavity on Fuzzy Soft Expert Set with Certain Properties
Muhammad Ihsan,Atiqe Ur Rahman,Muhammad Saeed,Hamiden Abd El-Wahed Khalifa 한국지능시스템학회 2021 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL of FUZZY LOGIC and INTELLIGE Vol.21 No.3
Molodtsov presented the idea of the soft set theory as a universal scientific apparatus for the provisioning of a parameterization tool. Alkhazaleh and Salleh (2011) characterized the idea of soft expert sets in which the client can understand the assessment of specialists in a single pattern and allow the use of this idea for dynamic issues. In this study, we summarize the idea of a soft expert set to fuzzy soft expert set, which will be progressively viable and helpful. The idea of convex and concave sets is crucial for optimization and related theories. In this investigation, convex and concave fuzzy soft expert sets are characterized first, and a portion of their significant properties are then discussed.

Cerebral creatine deficiency syndrome (CCDS) is a disorder where a defect is present in transport of creatine in the brain. Creatine plays an essential role in the energy metabolism of the brain. This is a genetic disorder, autosomal recessive or X linked, characterized by intellectual disability, speech and language delay, epilepsy, hypotonia, etc. Until recently very few number of cases have been reported. Here we report a case of 1.5-year-old boy who had epilepsy (epileptic spasm and generalized tonic clonic seizure), intellectual disability, microcephaly, hypotonia and speech delay. His magnetic resonance imaging of brain showed cortical atrophy and electroencephalography showed burst suppression pattern. The diagnosis was confirmed by clinical exome sequencing which showed novel mutation of SLC6A8+ in exon 9, suggestive of X linked recessive CCDS. The patient was then treated with glycine, L-arginine and creatine monohydrate with multiple antiepileptic drugs.

Retinitis punctata albescens (RPA) is an ocular disease characterized by decreased visual acuity, night blindness, atropic maculopathy, and pigmentary retinopathy. Multiple genes have been linked to the etiology of RPA. In this study, we investigated the genetic causes of RPA in a consanguineous Pakistani family with multiple affected individuals. We performed whole-exome sequencing of seven family members, and screened variants co-segregating with RPA in recessive fashion. Bioinformatic and in silico analyses revealed that all affected individuals were homozygous for a novel mutation that substitutes glycine with arginine at position 66 (c.196 G[C) in exon 2 of the lecithin retinol acyltransferase (LRAT) that converts all-trans retinol to 11-cis retinal in the retinal pigment epithelium. This mutation was not present in 217 unrelated Pakistani control subjects nor in the Exome Aggregation Consortium database containing exome data from 60,638 individuals worldwide. Mutations in the LRAT gene were previously found from the patients with Leber congenital amaurosis and retinal dystrophy, however, we report first time that disruptions in this gene are also associated with RPA.
