Durability Study of Subway Brake Disc and Wheel-type Brake

In this study, as part of the subway braking system, the structural analysis was performed with the fatigue analysis by comparing subway brake disc and wheel-type brake. When structural analysis was performed, it was possible to verify that the wheel-type brake were higher than the brake discs in case of total deformation. As the same loading conditions were given to the subway brake disc and wheel-type brake, wheel-type brakes was shown to have more deformation than brake disk but lower damage than the subway brake disc. Comparing with each fatigue loading condition, the maximum fatigue life for ‘Sample history’ is found to be about 60 times longer than for ‘SAE bracket history’.
Durability Study due to Shape of Clutch Pressure Plate

The design of pressure plate for automotive clutch also has been improved. The tension of the clutch spring compresses the clutch plate onto the flywheel to deliver the power. In this study, three types of pressure plate for clutch were modelled by using CATIA program, and the structural analyses due to external forces were performed with ANSYS program. It is thought that this study result can be used to verify the stability and strength according to the shape of the pressure plate.
A Flow Study by the Number of Wings at Ship Propeller

A ship"s propulsion system is a device to move the ship by means of the power transmitted from the ship"s engine to the propeller. In this study, three propeller models, a, b, and c, are designed and their flows are analyzed. Same flows with the same material are applied to all three models. Flow analysis results differ according to the shape of flow model though these models are the same material. In all respects, model C is considered to be more rigid and efficient than models A and B. A propeller model optimized for the driving force and stability can be developed through this study result.

As the operation of the municipal police system has started, peoples attention has been focused on whether the demand for security personnel is appropriate. Municipal police is an executive organization of local government with autonomous administrative authority and autonomously provides municipal police service for residents in the jurisdiction. In other words, it is an organization that conducts police activities under the responsibility of the local government. This study designed a self-policing demand prediction system using big data analysis and a regression model based on regional characteristics, and the performance was evaluated by analyzing the correlations. The model proposed in this paper is a big data analysis model that extracts major variables using correlation analysis between the collected variables and the current demand for municipal police personnel. The performance of the proposed scheme was evaluated by generating and analyzing the appropriate number of people in need of security in a specific G area. The results confirmed that the prediction was accurate.
Flow Analysis of Air Cleaner and Resonator by Shape

In this study, flow analysis results according to different air cleaner and resonator configurations were used to investigate flow and velocity. Among models A, B, and C, model B had the higher speed and pressure. Model B is therefore considered suitable as an air cleaner. This study aims to design optimal shapes of air cleaners and resonators without noise sources.
On the Performance Analysis of MISO Broadcast Channels with Spatial Heterogeneity

<P>We consider the sum-rate performance of multiple-input/single-output broadcast channels in which each user has a different average signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) corresponding to their distance from the base station. Although there are already studies investigating the sum-rate growth under this channel assumption, their proofs are limited to the cases where the pathloss exponent is equal to one or two. However, the path-loss exponent is greater than two in realistic wireless environments. Therefore, by deriving the cumulative distribution function of the channel gain, which differs from the previous results, we can provide an asymptotic sum-rate and a general proof for the sum-rate growth regardless of the value of the pathloss exponent.</P>
Durability Study by Strength Analysis of Bicycle Handle

Most of people are riding on their own bicycle due to the health and environmental pollution problems. The weight must be light in order to run farther and easier by bicycle. The durability will be reduced due to the light weight of tubes and handles at bicycle. To solve this problem, the three bicycle handle models 1, 2 and 3 were compared with each other for structural analysis. The structural analysis was carried out in this study. Among three models, model 2 and model 3 had the highest and lowest strengths at the structural analysis results, respectively. At this study result, model 1 is thought to be the balanced excellent model with no defect among three models.
