탐구적, 다감각적 지리답사 전략 -부산시 영도를 사례로-

본 연구의 목적은 부산시 영도를 사례로 지리 개념 이해를 위한 탐구적 지리답사, 다양한 감각적 경험을 고려하는 다감각적 지리답사 전략을 개발하는 것이다. 구체적으로, 탐구적 지리답사의 주제로 도시재생의 명과 암, 동삼혁신지구 해양 클러스터 사례를 제안하였다. 다감각적 경험을 활용하는 지리답사를 위해 소리 경관, 후각 경관과 관련된 사례, 낯설게 보는 경관 탐색 전략을 제시하였다. 이 연구는 다양한 지역에서 탐구적, 감각적 답사를 기획하고 실천하는 데 통찰력을 제공할 수 있으리라 기대된다. 논의의 연장선에서 모바일 테크놀로지, 가상현실을 답사에 적용하는 전략에 주목하고, 능동적 지리답사를 실행할 수 있는 지리답사 교수내용지식 함양에 관심을 가질 필요성을 제시하였다. 본 논문처럼 다양한 관점에서 구체적 지리답사 실행의 기반을 마련하는 연구를 통해 지리답사의 외연이 확장될 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to develop strategies for inquiry-based fieldwork to help understand geographic concepts and multi-sensory fieldwork to consider diverse sensory experiences using Yeongdo in Busan as an example case. Specifically, topics for inquiry-based fieldwork include positive and negative aspects of urban regeneration and the Dongsam marine cluster. For multi-sensory fieldwork, this study focuses on components of soundscape and smellscape and a strange look strategy. This article provides insight into designing and performing inquiry-based and multi-sensory fieldwork in diverse contexts. In discussion, this research notes the potential of mobile technologies and virtual reality in enhancing fieldwork experience and furthermore emphasizes the necessity of fieldwork pedagogical and content knowledge. The scope of geographic fieldwork will be extended through research that provides specific strategies from various perspectives.

In this study, we confirmed the basic characteristics of paste and mortar 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 composition using concrete sludge solid content for the purpose of developing a resource-recycling cement secondary products. The 1:2 mortar formulation showed the best compressive strength. The steam curing strength is superior in the order of C20, BS40, BS20 and Control. it is judged that the FA combination is not suitable.
General Anesthesia of a Patient with Hemifacial Microsomia

Hemifacial microsomia (HFM), also known as unilateral otomandibular dysostosis or lateral facial dysplasia, is the second most common congenital defect of the head and neck. HFM is an asymmetrical, congenital malformation of the 1st and 2nd branchial arches and the second most common craniofacial anomaly after cleft lip and palate. HFM can present with a spectrum of deformities involving the eyes, ears, and the first two pharyngeal arches. Deformities of the first and second pharyngeal arches include cleft lip and palate, bifid tongue, mandibular hypoplasia, maxillary hypoplasia, oral malocclusion, and dental malformations. Depending on disease’s severity, the airway is compromised leading to difficult airway, and often severe enough for surgical intervention with a tracheostomy. This report presents a 17 month child who has been diagnosed HFM disease and scheduled to undergo excisional revision with tragoplasty for accessory auricles and V-tube insertion. MAC video laryngoscope and lightwand were used for intubation, and with multiple attempts, the patient was finally successfully intubated. This case report with comprehensive literature review investigates possible difficulties and cautions during intubation of HFM patients, and discuss adequate methods of intervention.

The Malay translation of the Korean creative texts on the design of its cultural objects has a distinction externalisation from the local Malay culture in Malaysia. However, this intercultural perception can be interpreted through the strategic meaning externalisation. Therefore, this study used a translation strategy approach by Keesing (1958) on 10 works of the Korean anthology short story entitled 'Sampoganun gil' (The Road to Sampo) written in 1973. The selection of 10 works in the short story anthology organised and published by the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka in 1988 was due to the motivation of life reflected by the story in the Korean society that is still traumatised from the phase of Second World War. Based on the results of the text analysis on the work, interview was conducted on two group of Korean and Malay-speaking readers with Korean and Malay language proficiency and had an understanding of both cultures to assess the intercultural perception in the translation of the designs of cultural objects into in the context of Malay readers' understanding. The findings in this article highlighted two types of translation division of cultural material from the subject of study, which are those that can be translated and those that cannot be translated. Furthermore, the description of reasons given by the participants on intercultural perception indicates that the ability to translate cultural element of material is limited to the concept of its form. The results of this study can contribute to the understanding on the evolution of the creation of cultural objects to undermine the survival value of a human clan. Therefore, this study can help design researchers to understand the similarities and differences in the concept of artifact creation with different cultural backgrounds through the translation works of two different languages in a comparative manner.
GIS Education for Teachers in South Korea : Who Participates and Why?

많은 교육학자들이 GIS를 교육 현장에 도입하기 위해 오랫동안 노력해왔지만 실제 교사들이 GIS를 수업에 사용하는 경우는 그리 많지 않았다. 이러한 한국의 교육 현장 상황을 고려할 때, 어떤 교사들이 보장된 인센티브 없이 자발적으로 GIS 교사 연수에 참여한다면 이는 주목할만한 현상이다. 본 연구에서는 서울대학교에서 주관하는 GIS 교사 연수에 자발적으로 참여한 교사들이 누구였는지, 그리고 어떠한 이유로 참여했는지를 살펴본다. 교사들을 대상으로 설문조사와 인터뷰를 실시하여 자료를 수집하였다. 결과를 살펴보면, 자발적으로 연수에 참여한 교사들은 대부분 대학 교육에서 GIS 관련 수업을 받았을 것으로 예상되는 젊은 교사들이었다. 그리고 연수 참여 동기는 GIS를 수업에 도입하기 위해 필요한 관련 지식 획득과 GIS에 대해 더 알고 싶은 학문적 호기심이었다. 마지막으로 GIS를 교육 현장에 도입하기 위해 고려해야 할 사안들에 대해 논의하였다. Considering that GIS (Geographic Information Systems) has not been widely adopted by teachers despite educators’ considerable efforts to incorporate it into secondary education, if some teachers voluntarily participate in GIS in-service education without guaranteed benefits, those teachers deserve attention. This study investigates why teachers actively participated in a GIS staff-development program offered by Seoul National University in South Korea. Questionnaires were distributed to teachers and interviews were conducted. Results indicate that active participants are mostly young teachers who are expected to have had experiences with GIS during pre-service education. Teachers see the potential of GIS, but they also worry about several issues. Participating teachers’ primary motivation was to learn enough about GIS to incorporate it into their teaching. Suggestions to facilitate the incorporation of GIS into education are provided.
