When Do People Post a Comment to a News Story on the Internet?
( Mina Lee ),( Inhye Choi ),( Seungchan Yang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2015 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.9 No.1
In reading news stories online, people are exposed to others` comments to a news story. In spite of popularity of comments to a news story online, the understanding of why and who posts a comment is still lacking. To complement scarcity and have a better understanding of comment-posting online, this study examined psychological factors which affect the likelihood of posting a comment to a news story online. In particular, three variables were considered: The first variable was communication efficacy, that is, an individual`s belief about communication practices and systems, under the supposition that the people who have greater levels of communication efficacy are more likely to post a comment. The second variable was perception of public opinion, to test that when and if people judge their position of the issue as favored by the majority, they tend to post a comment. And finally, the tone of existing comments was included, to test if the tone of comments affects the willingness to post a comment. The results showed that firstly, people at a high level of communication efficacy are more likely to post a comment compared to people at the low level of communication efficacy. Secondly, the perception of public opinion partly influenced the willingness to post a comment. Especially, when people believe communication systems contribute to develop society and also when judged that their opinion is the majority`s opinion, they are more likely to post a comment. Finally, the tone of the comments influenced the willingness to post a comment only on the condition that people are confident of the communication practice and are exposed to emotional comments.
Identification of a Protein Interacting with Human Nebulin SH3 Domain by Yeast Two-hybrid Screening
Min-A Lee,Ji-Hee Kim,Byung-In Min,Soo Ho Choi,Han Suk Ko,Chong-Rak Kim 대한의생명과학회 2001 Biomedical Science Letters Vol.7 No.2
Nebulin is an unusually large actin-binding protein specific to the skeletal muscle of vertebrates. The correlation of nebulin size with thin filament length have led to the suggestion that nebulin acts as a molecular ruler for the length of thin filaments. An SH3 domain occupies the C terminus of nebulin, in the sarcomeric Z-disk and is preceded by a 120-residue stretch containing multiple putative phosphorylation sites. SH3 domain mediates protein-protein interaction involved in the subcellular localization of proteins, cytoskeletal organization and signal transduction. However the binding partner and physiological role of nebulin SH3 domains remains unknown. Using the yeast two-hybrid system, we identified supervillin, an actin-binding protein, as a nebulin SH3 domain-interacting protein. The SH3 domain of nebulin binds to the sequence encoding amino acids 977 to 1335 of supervillin. But the sequence encoding amino acids 977 to 1335 displays weaker binding than the sequence encoding amino acids 977 to 1788.

Recently, soil heavy metal(loid) contamination has become a big issue. Literature showed that roadside soils had a higher level of heavy metal(loid)s because of contaminated air dust. This study aims to investigate which heavy metal(loid)s are related to automobile and to understand the degree of automobile impact on soil contamination. Samples were collected from each part of the automobile, floors, and windows of four auto repair shops. Soils near the auto repair shops were also collected and analyzed. The levels of Zn, Cu, and Cr were higher in the metallic alloy-related parts, such as wheels, brake pads, and internal combustion engines. Paintings and tires were mainly related to Zn and Cu discharge. Cd, Ni, and Pb were detected from the samples although they were not primary. The air dust from the floors, windows, and the soils near auto repair shops also showed high levels of these heavy metals. This supports that the elements derived from automobile discharge to the air and become a source of roadside soil contamination. Cr and Ni were reported to have a high correlation in contaminated soils, which would because they were the materials of automobile alloy, so discharged together.
The Effects of Foot Relaxation Management and Foot Bath on the Menopausal symptoms
( Mi-na Lee ),( Suk-hee Jang ),( Mi-hyang Kim ),( Noo-ri Jeoung ) 한국미용예술경영학회 2012 미용예술경영연구 Vol.6 No.2
Women's average life span increased with the development of medical science 30 years after menopause, the rest of his life are expected to be more alive. Menopausal women will be only accounted for the development of physical, psychological, social transformation, where experience many changes physically as the decay of all the agencies due to the hormonal changes of menopause and cardiovascular, muscular, skeletal, endocrine, urinary, reproductive and severe changes experience. The purpose of this study foot relaxation management and foot bath effects on menopausal symptoms of women about menopausal symptoms in middle-aged women to investigate the basis for preventing its purpose is to provide. For this, total of 7 menopause women between the ages of 50∼60(menopause 1∼5years) living in Seoul and for 32 days from May 30 to June 30, 2011. Through the survey after the experiment, the results showed that menopause symptoms improved as the foot relaxation management and foot bath numbers increased and the 'Tingling hands and feet', 'Tired easily and has no power to the whole body' etc. were improved as the number of foot relaxation management and foot bath increased. The study results derived that this can affect the healthy life of menopause women and foot relaxation management and foot bath are enough to identify the effects of middle-age women’s quality of life changes for menopause symptoms. It is necessary to extend the experimental model of this study, form additional experimental models, and conduct further researches in the future.
The Effects of Self-Consciousness and News Consumption on Facebook
( Mina Lee ),( Seungchan Yang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2020 인터넷정보학회논문지 Vol.21 No.1
The popularity of social media has led to a variety of communicative behaviors among users. This study targeted Facebook as a representative social medial platform because it has the most subscribers in order to investigate factors that influence Facebook usage. In particular, because a person’s behavior is based on how they are perceived by others, self-conscious behavior was examined in the study. Facebook usage and news consumption were examined to ascertain the effects of self-consciousness. An online survey was conducted to examine how private SC and public SC (SCs), affects Facebook usage (profiles and writing posts) and news consumption (clicking “like” and sharing news). 616 participants completed the survey, and results indicated that public SC was positively related to the degree of profile updating and post writing. On the other hand, private SC was positively related to the degree of news sharing. These results suggest that psychological elements significantly predict a user’s behavior on Facebook.

Automobile industry, along with the automobile steering system, is rapidly changing and developing. The constant velocity joint transmits power to the wheels of vehicles without changing their angular velocity based on the movement of the steering wheel. Moreover, it controls their movement to act as a buffer. In order to prevent the excessive increase in temperature caused by the movement of vehicles, boots are attached to the constant velocity joint and lubricant is injected into the boots. The boots maintain the lubrication and protect the constant velocity joint from sand, water, and so on. As the wheels of the vehicle rotate, the boots are acted upon by forces such as bending, compression, and tension. Additionally, self-contact occurs to boots. Therefore, their durability deteriorates over time. To prevent this problem, polychloroprene rubber was initially used however, it was replaced by thermoplastic polyester elastomers due to their excellent fatigue durability. In this study, the structural analysis of boots was conducted. The results showed the deformation patterns of the boots based on the translation and rotation of the constant velocity joint. Moreover, it confirmed the location that was vulnerable to deformation. This study can be used to potentially design high-quality constant velocity joint boots.
