On the Applicability of Random Testing for Aspect-Oriented Programs
Reza Meimandi Parizi,Abdul Azim Abdul Ghani,Rusli Abdullah,Rodziah Atan 보안공학연구지원센터 2009 International Journal of Software Engineering and Vol.3 No.4
Random Testing(RT) and its derivatives such as Adaptive Random Testing (ART ) are active and important research topics in software testing, which have also a niche in practical settings due to the merits they offers, e.g. fault-detection capacities at low cost, ease of implementation, reliability estimation, facility for automation and so forth. Inspired by these advantages, we elieve the idea behind random testing can be worthwhile and attractive for testing aspectoriented programs since current research on testing of AOP, especially automated has not been adequately performed and is still in infancy. In this paper, we propose a preliminary approach to automated random testing of aspect-oriented programs, which are becoming an important part of software engineering theory and practice. This paper also includes a survey of applicable testing techniques and discussion of established testing methods in both area of Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) and Random Testing (RT).

The present article reports on a study on nonlinear coupled thermoelasticity based on Green-Naghdi type III model in one-dimensional form. Unlike other research in which temperature change is low and the strain relations are linear, in the present study the nonlinear finite strain assumption is governed. Two coupled nonlinear partial differential equations, namely; energy and linear momentum are established. The basic equations are formulated in material coordinates and then transformed into dimensionless form. The homotopy analysis method is used to analyze the one-dimensional structure. Two different cases are studied. The thermo-mechanical wave propagation with reflection from the boundary, and the influence of the damping parameter –presented in Green-Naghdi type III model– on temperature. The linear and nonlinear equations are compared. It should be noted that the nonlinear finite strain theory governs better when the loading temperature is high.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), one of the most prevalent leukemia types in adults, demonstrates great heterogeneity in molecular and clinical terms. Hence, there is a necessity to the mechanisms involved in AML generation in order to determine optimal treatment. This cross sectional study aimed to assess changes in BECN1 gene expression in with blood samples from 30 AML patients, compared with samples from 15 healthy persons. RNA was extracted and cDNA was synthesized and Real Time PCR applied to determine BECN1 gene expression. The results showed no significant differences in BECN1 gene expression between patients with AML and normal controls (P > 0.05). It appears that expression of BECN1 does not play a significant role in genesis of AML leukemia.
