Factors affecting the adoption of fashion mobile shopping applications
Manjari Soni,Kokil Jain,Bhawna Kumar 한국마케팅과학회 2019 Journal of Global Fashion Marketing Vol.10 No.4
Fashion is ever-changing; almost every age and gender of a person is interested to know and wear the latest trend. Initially, people were dependent on the brick and mortar stores, followed by the launch and success of e-commerce, which changed the game by making people sit at home and shop. The launch of Mobile Shopping Apps have not only simplified the shopping but have also enhanced the whole shopping experience. So far there have been researches done on m-commerce in general. In this study, we examine the factors influencing the adoption of Fashion mobile shopping apps (FMSA) using extended UTAUT model. A thorough survey was conducted with a sample of 209 participants. The questionnaire was designed using established scales. Statistical tools were used to analyze the data. Out of ten identified variables except Physical Appearance and Social Influence, all others i.e. Performance Expectancy, Personal Innovativeness, Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Habit, Price Value, and Behavioural Intentions showed significant influence on use behavior.

We assessed variation in avifaunal diversity at some selected habitats around the Negombo estuary in Sri Lanka in relation to land-use modifications. During the study period, we observed 48 bird species of which 47 species are residents to Sri Lanka. The avian species richness, evenness, and heterogeneity were found to be the highest at undisturbed habitats. Further, these diversity measures were negatively correlated with the intensity of anthropogenic land-use activities. Total abundance of birds increased at highly disturbed habitats due to the presence of the house crow, as it is the most abundant of all birds observed at these habitats. This study highlights the need for habitat management around estuaries, giving due consideration to existing ecological theories to conserve avifaunal diversity. It also highlights the negative impacts of the house crow on diversity of other resident avian fauna in these habitats.
Embryo Culture of Taxus wallichiana (Zucc.)
Datta Mukul Manjari,Jha Sumita The Korean Society of Plant Biotechnology 2004 Plant molecular biology and biotechnology research Vol.6 No.4
Zygotic embryos were excised from immature and mature seeds of the Himalayan yew, Taxus wallichiana. The embryos germinated precociously when kept in darkness for 5 weeks and developed into full seedlings within 10-12 weeks. The highest rate of embryo germination ($81\%$) was obtained in modified Lloyd & McCown' s woody plant medium containing macro and micronutrients at half strength supplemented with $1\%$ activated charcoal, which supported both the best embryonic growth ($43\%$) and seedling development ($32\%$). However, the supplementation of basal media with kinetin, thidiazuron, 6-benzyl aminopurine or $GA_3$ had no effect on the germination of the embryos. The embryos derived from immature seeds germinated but the frequency of embryonic growth was better in mature seeds. Stratification of seeds effected precocious germination of embryos. Seeds kept at $4^{\circ}C$ for 1 week germinated earlier and at a higher frequency irrespective of the stage of seed maturity, while the germination rate declined with prolonged cold treatment for 1 month at that same temperature. Analysis of taxanes in germinating seedlings revealed that root tissues contained high levels of taxol, 10-deacetyl-baccatin ill and baccatin ill as compared to shoots. Thus embryo culture technique appears to overcome the lengthy dormancy requirement of T. wallichiana seeds.

Background: Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), an endothelial cell specific mitogen, has been implicated as a critical factor influencing tumor related angiogenesis. The aim of present study was to evaluate the relationship between VEGF +936C>T and +405C>G polymorphisms of VEGF with risk of breast cancer in Punjab, India. Materials and Methods: We screened DNA samples of 192 sporadic breast cancer patients and 192 unrelated healthy, gender and age matched control individuals for VEGF +936C>T and +405C>G polymorphisms using the PCR-RFLP method. Results: For the VEGF +405C>G polymorphism, we observed significantly increased frequency of GG genotype in cases as compared to controls and strong association of +405GG genotype was observed with three fold risk for breast cancer (OR=3.07; 95%CI 1.41-6.65; p=0.003). For the +936C>T polymorphism, significant associations of CT and combined CT+TT genotypes were observed with elevated risk of breast cancer (p=0.021; 0.023). The combined genotype combinations of GG-CC and GG-CT of +405C>G and +936C>T polymorphisms were found to be significantly associated with increased risk of breast cancer (p=0.04; 0.0064). Conclusions: The findings of the present study indicated significant associations of VEGF +936C>T and +405C>G polymorphisms with increased breast cancer risk in patients from Punjab, North India.

Background: Chemokines and their receptors influence carcinogenesis and cysteine-cysteine chemokine receptor 5 (CCR5) directs spread of cancer to other tissues. A 32 base pair deletion in the coding region of CCR5 that might alter the expression or function of the protein has been implicated in a variety of immune-mediated diseases. The action of antiviral drugs being proposed as adjuvant therapy in cancer is dependent on CCR5 wild type status. In the present study, distribution of CCR5${\Delta}32$ polymorphism was assessed in North Indian esophageal cancer patients to explore the potential of using chemokine receptors antagonists as adjuvant therapy. Materials and Methods: DNA samples of 175 sporadic esophageal cancer patients (69 males and 106 females) and 175 unrelated healthy control individuals (69 males and 106 females) were screened for the CCR5${\Delta}32$ polymorphism by direct polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Results: The frequencies of wild type homozygous (CCR5/CCR5), heterozygous (CCR5/${\Delta}32$) and homozygous mutant (${\Delta}32/{\Delta}32$) genotypes were 96.0 vs 97.72%, 4.0 vs 1.71% and 0 vs 0.57% in patients and controls respectively. There was no difference in the genotype and allele frequencies of CCR5${\Delta}32$ polymorphism in esophageal cancer patients and control group. Conclusions: The CCR5${\Delta}32$ polymorphism is not associated with esophageal cancer in North Indians. As the majority of patients express the wild type allele, there is potential of using antiviral drug therapy as adjuvant therapy.
VARIOUS TYPES OF WELL-POSEDNESS FOR MIXED VECTOR QUASIVARIATIONAL-LIKE INEQUALITY USING BIFUNCTIONS
Garima Virmani,Manjari Srivastava 한국전산응용수학회 2014 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.32 No.3
In this paper, we investigate the α-well-posedness and α-L- well-posedness for a mixed vector quasivariational-like inequality using bifunctions. Some characterizations are derived for the above mentioned well-posedness concepts. The concepts of α-well-posedness and α-L-well- posedness in the generalized sense are also given and similar characteriza- tions are derived.. OPTIMALITY AND DUALITY IN NONDIFFERENTIABLE MULTIOBJECTIVE FRACTIONAL PROGRAMMING USING α-UNIVEXITY
Rekha Gupta,Manjari Srivastava 한국전산응용수학회 2014 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.32 No.3
In this paper, a multiobjective nondifferentiable fractional programming problem (MFP) is considered where the objective function contains a term involving the support function of a compact convex set. A vector valued (generalized) $\alpha$-univex function is defined to extend the concept of a real valued (generalized) $\alpha$-univex function. Using these functions, sufficient optimality criteria are obtained for a feasible solution of (MFP) to be an efficient or weakly efficient solution of (MFP). Duality results are obtained for a Mond-Weir type dual under (generalized) $\alpha$-univexity assumptions.
